  1. Congrats on missing the point. Go you! Now imagine a 10% raise every year, and then imagine average car mileage of 10,000 miles. And the raise happens overnight, not gradually, so you have no time to adjust. If you can't see why this might be a problem for Joe Average, then I give up.

    Evo 2017 Tyre Test

Normally I'd agree, but given how easily the 4 won and we know the 4S is better I'm not sure there would've been much point. Still would've been nice though!
  3. Cute
  4. So? If you need them you need them, try asking again but more politely
  5. British Gas have just announced a 12.5% increase in their electricity prices, so if you're on their network and own an EV then congrats! Your fuel price just jumped up 12.5%! And they say petrol prices are volatile. Given that electricity price rises are becoming steeper and more frequent (any homeowner will tell you that), you can see why EVs aren't going to be cheap to run forever. Not a dig at any one or anything, it's just not a point that I think has been raised elsewhere on here before. The overall cost of electric sure, but not the sudden double-digit price increases.
  6. Your local dealer will very likely have these in stock.
  7. Have you done the belt and DRL yet?
  8. Alcantara can last, but it needs cleaning and protecting regularly (like after every use). Never going to last as long as leather though, that's definitely true.

If it's just a template sent directly by PM to the OP, then no issue there at all.
  10. Si, Graham asked you outright for a quote and three days later you'd not even got back to him. I appreciate you're busy, but even a PM to start the discussion would've been a good idea.
  11. Not even close. At worst he's joint best with Seb, Nando and Max.

Very kind offer, can't see that breaking any rules
  13. Did you do a skid in that video then? Like I said, I didn't watch it all, just skipped to a few bits. My point stands though, does it not? I mean, why would anyone want to go out of their way to give the Zed and Jap car owners in general a bad rep? I already said feel free to explore limits where appropriate, I know I do. Time and a place though, that's the key.
  14. They really are lush in real life.
  15. If your going to slide, then do it where there are no other cars/persons/objects around. Doing it outside a car show on a relatively busy road where you're being filmed is just bonkers.
  16. That video single handedly sets back the perception of the Jap car scene by about ten years. Didn't watch it all, admittedly, but saw enough. And as for the f*cking idiots standing opposite the junction, did they not realise just how dangerous a place to stand that was?! Right in the line of fire of wannabe heroes sliding out and turning right. Gene pool needs a bloody great dose of chlorine. Folks, it probably doesn't need saying, but please remember when you're driving your cars that you represent all of us as a community, and your actions reflect on us all both in the positive and the negative. So please, don't drive like a d*ck, especially not at events like this where there's a lot of people watching. Thanks

Oops, missed this. Extensive history: Give me dates, mileage and locations. Common problems fixed: Just the two mentioned? Which clutch was put in? When? By who? Which rad fans? When? By who? Couple of usual marks, where? Pics? Your listing is all wrong too, one big paragraph is difficult to scan. Try listing mods like this: Greddy induction kit Greddy front strut brace Invidia Gemini exhaust Tein S Tech lowering springs etc. You put 'Big brembos', well they're just the stock ones aren't they? plus Brembo should be capitalised. Carbon gear shift and Carbon engine cover should not have capitalised Cs if in a paragraph, and it's a gear knob not a gear shift. Actually you've capitalised after every comma, that's the bigger issue. E2 DLJ is clearly a private plate, is that coming with the car? If not take it off, get the original plate back on and get some photos that aren't either over or under exposed. Choose a single location too, go find a nice park somewhere or a country road layby. Be consistent! Apart from that it's fine.
  18. One will probably be along shortly to do it for you
  19. Should've bought that model we saw in LM now.
  20. In theory a stock STi is 260bhp, a PPP equipped car (like ours) is 305bhp. We had it dynoed a few years back in our first ownership and it was putting out just shy of 320bhp... Depends how much you trust dynos I guess, I doubt it's under 300bhp though given how hard it pulls all the way to the redline which is very rare for turbo car. And Andy they're rose-gold I'll let you argue with other half if you want to insist they're pink

  23. https://www.vwheritage.com/blog/2017/07/21/new-categories-write-offs/ Cat C & D are to be replaced with S (structural damage but repairable) and N (non-structural but uneconomic to repair) from October. Should mean it's easier to clarify what level of damage was actually recorded, assuming its assessed correctly. Cue a huge bunch of threads from roughly November wondering why their car isn't a Cat D...

  24. Is it though? It just tempts people into driving in ways in which they otherwise wouldn't, and it's not like his footage is particularly impressive. Sorry, that sounds like I'm picking on you, I'm really not. His videos would just be significantly better if he cherry picked the interesting stuff, perhaps on some longer shots, rather than videoing every single thing leaving. #grump
  25. Awesome place for the coppers to park up there though
