  1. Yup, they be frozen. Leave them to thaw out or put a few wartering cans of warm water over them
  2. They should only be used on snow. Tarmac will rip them up - but how fast they will rip up I dont know. AFAIK you use them to get out of the snow onto a gritted road then take them off.
  3. Shame they dont make them the right size for the standard 370z tyres - I wanted a set
  4. OK so went for a quick drive yesterday, and I think you are correct, the changes to seem to be smoother now that I have intake and exhaust, it doesnt seem to be anywhere near as jerky as before. Also makes a big difference if the engine and gearbox are warm.
  5. Actually, having seen Colins satnav in his MY2009, having postcodes isnt that big a deal. The screen is easy to read, and the cursor easy to move to where you want to go. I thought it would be a really big deal for me having postcodes, but it doesnt matter that much as they dont always actually get you where you want to go! The other thing connect premium offers is better ipod integration and the 10GB HDD, but you have to rip music from CD onto it, so I just use USB pen drives anyway.
  6. Only change is the sat nav/audio So depending on how much the difference in price is then it may be worth the extra cash. No sign of a Nismo version either
  7. Nope, I dont have a paint depth guage, just wondered what his were, as Nissans have notoriously thin paint. One thing I would ask them though - if they dont measure the depth of the paint, how did they know that Darren hadnt had a bash at it himself with a rotary and taken off most of the clearcoat off, then swirled it to hell, and now when they correct it, how do they know how aggressive they can be? I've seen enough cases on DW to know how easy it is to burn through clearcoat with a rotary

    Tarox Brakes

I'm sure I saw a post where Dixon said you dont have to use their own pads. Have you spoken to him? Sure he said DS2500 were ok with them. If you havent knackered the Turbo Grooves then you are probably pretty light on the old braking, so anything better than OEM will suffice, cant go wrong with DBA, they'd be my choice.
  9. Driver training and uprate tyres or brakes Honestly, preformance mods (in terms of trying to get extra power) are pretty pointless. Depends what you are after, but for unltimate enjoyment for the cost, you wont beat some good training

    Rim protection

Careful now children, this is heading to the Green Room , and we wouldnt want that for a genuine question would we
  11. I quite often try to open the missus Ibiza by pressing a button that doesnt exist or get out of the car and leave the keys in the ignition
  12. And whos is the drop top who parked the wrong way round
  13. Did they take any paint depth reading of Darrens car? Just being nosy to see what they are. Sounds like a fantastic day you guys had. I was pulling my car to pieces to sound deaden the boot in near zero temps
  14. Even though I made it back last year in Basingstoke past the thousands of abandoned cars, I wont be trying it this year!
  15. Currently I have my doors set to auto lock with speed, and not to unlock with IGN. Unlock can be done by the button or opening a door from the inside. *NOTE* The lock indicator on the centre console does not dim with the rest of the dash and remains bright when lit up.
  16. To change between auto door unlock on IGN off (default - disabled): IGN OFF Interlock Door Unlock All doors are unlocked when the power supply position is changed from ON to OFF. BCM outputs the unlock signal to all door lock actuators when it detects that the power supply position is changed from ignition switch ON to OFF. The automatic door lock/unlock function ON/OFF can be switched by performing the following operation. 1. Close all doors below (door switch OFF) 2. Turn ignition switch ON 3. Press and hold the door lock and unlock switch for 5 seconds or more in the unlock direction within 20 seconds after turning the ignition switch ON. 4. The switching is complete when the hazard lamp blinks. OFF → ON : 2 blinks ON → OFF : 1 blink
  17. To change between auto door lock at speed (default - disabled): Vehicle Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock All doors are locked when the vehicle speed reaches 24 km/h (15 MPH) or more. BCM outputs the lock signal to all door lock actuators when it detects that the ignition switch is turned ON, all doors are closed and the vehicle speed received from the combination meter via CAN communication becomes 24 km/h (15 MPH) or more. The automatic door lock function ON/OFF can be switched by performing the following operation. 1. Close all doors (door switch OFF) 2. Turn ignition switch ON 3. Press and hold the door lock and unlock switch for 5 seconds or more in the lock direction within 20 seconds after turning the ignition switch ON. 4. The switching is complete when the hazard lamp blinks. OFF → ON : 2 blinks ON → OFF : 1 blink
  18. To change between selective unlock enabled or disabled (default): Selective Unlock - Enabled When an LOCK signal is transmitted from Intelligent Key, all doors and fuel lid are locked. When an UNLOCK signal is transmitted from Intelligent Key once, driver side door and fuel lid are unlocked. Then, if an UNLOCK signal is transmitted from Intelligent Key again within 60 seconds, all other doors are unlocked. Selective Unlock - Disabled When an LOCK signal is transmitted from Intelligent Key, all doors and fuel lid are locked. When an UNLOCK signal is transmitted from Intelligent Key once, all doors and fuel lid are locked. Enabling/Disabling Selective Unlock When LOCK and UNLOCK signals are sent from the Intelligent Key for more than 5 seconds at the same time, hazard warning lamp blinks and Selective Unlock feature will toggle (enabled -> disabled or disabled -> enabled)
  19. Yup, small drop and it always closes for me
  20. Feck off, you can keep it Just as I am about to start driving back to work the snow returns! To make it worse, they dont make autosocks in the size for the 370z wheels They do a bigger size, so I may get them for emergencies.
  21. I would say Option 2 if it were darker, but as they are Option 1 Hope your student likes option 1 it seems to be the winner
