Currently I have my doors set to auto lock with speed, and not to unlock with IGN. Unlock can be done by the button or opening a door from the inside. *NOTE* The lock indicator on the centre console does not dim with the rest of the dash and remains bright when lit up.

To change between auto door unlock on IGN off (default - disabled): IGN OFF Interlock Door Unlock All doors are unlocked when the power supply position is changed from ON to OFF. BCM outputs the unlock signal to all door lock actuators when it detects that the power supply position is changed from ignition switch ON to OFF. The automatic door lock/unlock function ON/OFF can be switched by performing the following operation. 1. Close all doors below (door switch OFF) 2. Turn ignition switch ON 3. Press and hold the door lock and unlock switch for 5 seconds or more in the unlock direction within 20 seconds after turning the ignition switch ON. 4. The switching is complete when the hazard lamp blinks. OFF → ON : 2 blinks ON → OFF : 1 blink

BCM outputs the lock signal to all door lock actuators when it detects that the ignition switch is turned ON, all doors are closed and the vehicle speed received from the combination meter via CAN communication becomes 24 km/h (15 MPH) or more. The automatic door lock function ON/OFF can be switched by performing the following operation. 1. Close all doors (door switch OFF) 2. Turn ignition switch ON 3. Press and hold the door lock and unlock switch for 5 seconds or more in the lock direction within 20 seconds after turning the ignition switch ON. 4. To change between selective unlock enabled or disabled (default): Selective Unlock - Enabled When an LOCK signal is transmitted from Intelligent Key, all doors and fuel lid are locked. When an UNLOCK signal is transmitted from Intelligent Key once, driver side door and fuel lid are unlocked. Then, if an UNLOCK signal is transmitted from Intelligent Key again within 60 seconds, all other doors are unlocked. Selective Unlock - Disabled When an LOCK signal is transmitted from Intelligent Key, all doors and fuel lid are locked. When an UNLOCK signal is transmitted from Intelligent Key once, all doors and fuel lid are locked. Enabling/Disabling Selective Unlock When LOCK and UNLOCK signals are sent from the Intelligent Key for more than 5 seconds at the same time, hazard warning lamp blinks and Selective Unlock feature will toggle (enabled -> disabled or disabled -> enabled)

Its down to the standard geometry. I get this in reverse, and in this cold weather I get it going forward. Colins did it when I had a go in his too. I'm guessing in Nissans attempt to make the turning circle better they allow the wheels to go further than they really should as at full lock the angle of the tyres means you dont have any real contact patch. Fine for day to day manouvering I guess.

Oooh, get you Mr Proper Seeing as my bodge way of doing it worked, its worth doing the proper bleed as per Neils post. Remember to keep an eye on the fluid as when you get the air out, its replaced by fluid, and if there is no fluid it cant get all the air out.

Cant answer your questions specifically about the VBOX, but I can tell you that throttle position and RPM can be read via OBDII. Be warned that OBDII poll rate in the 350z (older ones at least) can be quite slow. Reading just 2 PIDs (RPM and TP) should be ok though, I found any more than 4 and you could really notice the lag. Not sure if it will connect truely via CAN as there will be different standards between all cars. I would imagine really it uses OBDII which is standard.

I'll have a test drive tomorrow, I dont tend to drive around in manual mode unless being spirited Cant say I noticed any real change though. But yes, it is jerky in manual mode at normal driving speeds. Its because the torque converter locks up so quickly and can do so from as low as 1.5k RPM. Obviously in manual mode the ECU speeds up the rate of lock compared to full auto mode where it might allow the torque converter to be unlocked longer to allow for smoother changes

So he can fit it properly without damaging it, and ensure it has been fitted properly so that customers dont come back with BS about it not fitting and/or bits breaking. TBH I would be more than happy to travel oop narf to get Lee to fit it and stay overnight in a B&B or something. If you've every tried to remove the central arm rest bit, it can be a right PITA to do without marking any other interior pieces. Just get all the bits you want done in one go up there and save the headache of multiple visits to a garage

I think he means keep it away from the friction material, not the pad entirely. You are fine to grease the backing plate of the pad, just keep it away from braking surface

I take it you've tried the full lock one way to full lock the other to make sure theres no stuck air? I'm sure I heard someone say that you can get air in there from time to time and doing it lock to lock can get it out
