    19" or 20"?

    I'd go with 19" personally
  2. GT acadamey has been around for a few years now. Before this year they used 350z and GTRs, this year they used the 370z, and some autos to boot - so they cant be that bad! CH4 screen the series on it on weekend mornings, but its over for this year (on TV). Its a good programme, but unfortunately as they condense them into 30 min episodes, you dont get to see too much driving.
  3. As Martin says, stick it in 4th, up a hill preferably, and accelerate. Watch the revs - if they rise faster than the car picks up speed then the clutch is on the way out.
  4. +1 mine did 76k on the original clutch and still had life in it when we removed it. With a mechanically sympathetic driver they can go a long way
  5. +1 - start at 35psi cold and have a play to see what you prefer, add or drop a psi here and there
  6. All this talk means you are surely destined for the green room

    trolley jack

Hockey puck with a groove cut in it is the best way to jack the car at the sills with a trolley jack
  8. MY06 LEDs look much better IMO, but I can see why people want to be a bit different.
  9. Yeah yellow is the Ultimate Edition, only available in MY2009. Wasnt a limited run as such, just only available to order during 2009
  10. Yeah its something like that from what I remember. There is a fuse for exhaust butterfly valve, that when removed keeps it open at all times
  11. Get the premium one, its much thicker and doesnt move, also stops some of the noise that comes from the boot area. For anyone around Basingstoke, I have one in my garage loft they can have for a token gesture/dontation to the club. I CBA to post it, so would have to be picked up from me when I am around, but that can be arranged It has a couple of slits cut in it for the boot divider which I dont have any more, but I dont think they are obvious from what I remember.
  12. They'd probably be importing 370z's too if the exchange rate was as favourable now as a few years back. Import Zeds were far cheaper back then than ones off the forecourt. Given the hard times in the economy I dont think Nissan are doing badly, I know the black editions were flying out of the door. You cant compare year on year sales when one set were from when the economy was booming and one from now. I do think we are slowly seeing the end of sports cars though
  13. Very nice sir. Remember to remove the magic fuse for more noise all of the time
  14. Seen them before and they dont suit the car once they are on. If you want smoked lights, go for a light tint film, that way when the cops stop you, its easily removed and you dont get in trouble
  15. I heard the rumours about Merc and Diesel too, I hope they are not true. I think they will go hybrid though, its the only way. I can see Fezza and other supercars going that way too, they are actively researching and developing them. Still if that means a 400Z with a bit of leccy help, so be it
  16. Posting when a thread is what? Sorry I dont get it
  17. To be fair to Reuters they put out an announcent. On foreigner decided not to put his phone down til on of the PAs gave home fat evils
  18. The main problem with Rik was inconsistency and lying, thats why things went on so long. There were people who had good experiences and those with bad, and when the bad outweighed the good by a long way, it was time for him to leave
  19. Very nice sir Watch out for Martin's drool stains on the car
  20. Swinley this afternoon for a little potter about and get Amanda some more practice on trail features (berms, table tops, small drop offs) and a bit of exercise for me Only one piccy as its very tight and twisy in there, so hard to stop and get pics. No way Amanda would have done this a few months back, shes coming on leaps and bounds for someone who has been riding properly for about 6 months!
  21. Go with what you see then! I remember it being trial and error when I did it. I knew from a line in the bricks on my garage how high to set it (sad I know!), so just turned the wheels until the cutoff lay on the line. I do this for all my cars as found the line is a nice height where you can see down the road, but not dassle other drivers
  22. 2 problems I can see from what you've said. Firstly they did the run in 3rd gear. You are correct in thinking that it should be done in 4th, and doing it in 3rd has let to inconsistent and under read numbers. Secondly, at the top end, your car seems to drop torque quite rapidly, more than I would expect. For a rev up engine, it should be producing power for longer, and if you follow the graph trend up another 500 revs or so, it would have put you in the right power range. This could be because of how they strapped it down, or because they did it in 3rd gear. When in the car, does it pull hard right up the redline? If so, I wouldnt worry about it, its probably dyno operator error
  23. I seem to remember it was clockwise. On mine I had to do a lot of turns, like 20+ WRT the self leveling thing, yes the lights do self level, but you need to change the starting point for them to do it properly, just because they point at the floor doesnt mean they arent working. Go sit in the boot and you will see the still point at the floor - they wont get higher as they will self level. You can still move the reference point up
