  1. Got a link? Not been on here much lately, but I'll ask my friendly dealer to have a looksie for it
  2. Got any pics? AFAIK the unit is one whole thing as far as Nissan is concerned. If RSW are making them though, they must know how to remove them! I see you've ask on the US forums, if anyone knows it will be them
  3. Show us some graphs then From what I had seen in the States, the car does really well at adapting to mods, and remaps werent yeilding much benefit. Things might have changed in the 6 months sine I last read up on it though.
  4. Well done bud, make sure you get some kind of scan or image posted up and I'll stick a post on our FB page
  5. True he should use them as comparison points but shouldn't expect the zed to be as good as both of them at their respective strong points, which it seems is what he is expecting. I think it's a fair review to say it sits between them both as a jack of all trades, master of none
  6. Bought mine after a 20 min test drive - maybe I should be a journo I get Geoff's point though, the guy obviously isnt journo material, he is constantly compring the performance to his TVR which is an out and out sports car, while the 370z is more sports GT, and the luxury side to his BMW, which has crap sports car capabilities but much better interior in terms of half a tonne of sound deadening. Put the same amount of deadening in the Zed and it will be whisper quiet too. The only comment I take offence to in his review is the chav car
  7. TBH, you are all missing the point. This report will turn off all the to**ers on other forums from getting one, which means it will remain more exclusive To be fair the chap has a few points, but he does over play them, or I take less notice as the better parts of the car make up for it, and we have a far far better forum than most car models!
  8. Looks good buddy, more nice weather up there, thats global warming for ya We headed out today, but no pics though. Were on a fun day with the guys and gals from DirtDivas. We had a nice ride around Swinley forest, racking up a fairly modest 10 miles in 3hrs - too much talking obviously! It was harder than it sounds and was good to be shown around Swinley as a lot of the singletrack is hidden away. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/54203047
  9. Post all 4 tyre sizes, makes and models please chaps along with the wheel sizes
  10. My guess is tyre sizes. Please post the sizes of all 4 , don't assume they match side to side -check all of them
  11. Andy Walsh is a great instructor. Done a few "fun days" with Car Limits but never any formal training, but you still get good instruction from him if you ask nicely. He had my other half flying around the course in my 350z I did talk to him a while ago about having a 350z-uk day doing the fun airfield day stuff, but not formal training - what would people be interested in?
  12. Dunno about you, but I just pull the paddle on the wheel Honestly, smoothest way to change is to match the revs with the road speed, so when you engage the clutch there is no speed no differential it has to take up. Whether you do this via a blip (if you let the revs drop lower than they need to be), or simply let off the throttle a bit so they drop doesnt matter, so long as you match them.

    key issue

Dont really get that at all. I have had 2 sets of keys in my 370z loads of times and not had this problem. The key symbol only shows when it doesnt detect a key, so I guess one of the keys was malfunctioning. Sure the dealer will get it sorted, probably needs the battery replacing or even a new key - but should all be under warranty of course.
  14. Don't they have some real work to do! Honestly wasting time on twitter
  15. I still have my rear mounted bike rack for the zed if anyone doesn't want to destroy the interior! Does require some cuttting of the rear bumper as it is, but I'm convinced someone could fab up the supports in a way they'd go around them bumper. Amandas Ibiza is going in today for her towbar to be fitted and we have a Thule 908 waiting to be hung on it, so more having to faff on the roof
  16. Good things come to those who wait
  17. im not sure exactly; but not as much as i'd like, would have designed in myself or expected! if you have aftermarket LED dome lights that would help lots and i reckon that's where i went wrong as i didn't realise it would be so sensitive. i had the oem bulbs in at the time meaning the current draw was too high. if it were a cheap module i would say crack on but it is a fair old wad of cash. I would love to have got it to work on mine, hence me being so determined. I did some reading from others who have burned out the same bit in the same way. Thats a fair point. I had LED dome lights, so that would have lowered the draw significantly. As for blowing the BMC, I have never overloaded it, but if you short the connection, you will blow it. It takes out the dome light, and also the main dials, including the indicators, lights, etc. They still work, you just get no feedback of it I can also confirm you wont fix the BCM, Nissan tried to fix mine thinking it was a blown earth, but they said it was fried.
  18. Fair enough bud, I will bow to your superior knowledge (I mean that seriously, not being sarcy). How much do you think it can take then? It powered 2 small strips of LEDs in my car, but I would imagine it cant take too much current through it. How much did you put through before it went pop?
  19. Nice one matey Remember to add yourself to the list when the inevitible happens
  20. Numbers? Also what was the AFR like? Did it behave itself without the need for UpRev? I have the stillen CBE and Gen3 intakes, so very curious.
  21. Courtesy light is fine, just remember it's switched earth and permanent live. John is right to be a bit paranoid and worried, it appears to run back to the BCM completely unfused or protected so be careful not to short it or it will cost a lot to fix! I am amazed you managed to get it wrong twice though John, given you new line of business
  22. Saw the pic the other day, looks like a nice bit of kit, very agressive
  23. Very good matey So when do you get a Five to be with the cool kids?
  24. Do the pedal dance properly and get the code Or get someone with an OBD reader. You may not need Consult, it may be a generic fault
