  1. Well of course, they cant get you into work and then tell you to make your own way home Nothing wrong with saying they will come and pick you up (just make sure its on their time) but they have to get you back again!
  2. 40 Years of Nissan Z -- MotoMan.TV Enjoy (watch in HD on YouTube)
  3. We'll sneak you back in if cakes are on offer
  4. Now now Rich, get back to doing someones hair The point of the Green Room is that its for stuff that might offend other members, and as such doesnt appear in new post searches for that reason.
  5. AKA "The Ban List" Oi!! dont dis the ex zedders!
  6. I meant that it only counts members who have logged in any number of times in the period as one. Ie if you log on 50 times, it doesnt count you 50 times, it counts you once. Unlike Google Analytics, which counts all page views/visits. From November Visits (unique) - 54,000 (11,840) Page Views - 635,000 (over 20,000 pages served per day!)
  7. OK so a few "active" members stats - these are based on registered members who have logged on in the last 1/6/12 months: In last 12 months - 965 unique members In last 6 months - 611 unique members In last 1 month - 192 unique members So I would say there are over 200 fairly active members. A lot of members will actually browse the forums and not be logged in too, so they wont show up. Given the apparent rarity of these cars, thats not a bad number I'd say
  8. Got about 4" now and its still coming down, but not very hard. The main roads are fine I think, not that I've ventured out of the house yet
  9. If you've not driven it before, the pressure of that and trying to get to work on time is not going to be a good combination. Get a cab if you can or blag a lift off a mate in a FWD shed
  10. 7AT gearbox FTW - drop it in drive, jump out car, it drives, you push - who needs help
  11. John, you thought about that far too much. Just buy snow/winter tyres
  12. Speak to Abbey about UpRev. Watch this space Although where I will do a VMAX run I have no idea From what I've seen posted, and from similar cars, I think the 370z would hit around 170MPH unrestricted. The 350z climbs quite happily and strongly to 145MPH before starting to run out of puff, so expect it would go a fair bit further. M5 or M49 Autobahns are usually good for some high speed efforts Duely noted. Next time I'm off contract
  13. This morning Blasingsmokes snow had retreated to about 2.5mm from 5mm
  14. So are snow socks harder to fit than chains? I got the impression they should be about the same, and serve the same purpose
  15. I'll take the one on the right
  16. You know you want to try it Lee
  17. That sounds a bit suspect!! Now now

  19. Chains are illegal on UK roads for a very good reason, as soon as you hit a gritted road with chains on it will be like driving on ice Winter tyres are very good, but very expensive. I saw a bit in Evo mag where they had a big Jag on winter tyres vs summer in the snow and they said it was pretty much like driving normally, and their lap time was significantly quicker. I'll say it again though, dont expect Snow Socks to be used for daily driving, they are for emergenices when you get caught out in proper snow and cant move. If you want to DD in snow, you need snow tyres on a Zed.
  20. OK revise my definition of "active" to not logged on in the last 12 months Yes I was going to see if we could get a true "active" count. The forum S/W doesnt give us this by default, but from home I can query the backend database to do the count
  21. +1 - just watch out for the inbalance in grip it causes.
  22. This is true. I think to be classed as a part of the 6000, the member has to have signed up and posted something at some time - so the software does discount those that sign up and dont post. Will see if we can get an "active" count. We did have a peak in the most users online recently which was 113 on Wed Nov 24, 2010
  23. They are only designed to get you out of the snow, and not drive day to day in the snow, slush, tarmac etc. Thats when you need winter tyres. They are meant for when you get stuck on the way home to get you out of the bit of snow and back to tarmac then you take them off
