GT4's do not have the 2006 facelift upgrades - the only common item to my recollection was the engine although the GT4 guru on here (Ken) understands that the pistons were different and this may well be the reason we do not hear of excessive oil consumption/engine failures as that which has happened to some of the facelifts (pre HR versions).

Ah, so a 370 bought new in 2017 in year two will be £140, providing the price is under £40k. That's going to make all existing ZED owners and particularly those who bought between March 2006 and 2017 feel a bit miffed and makes me wonder if they might be subjected to further tax price hikes Hope I am wrong ' Bet new cars sales will drop off in 2016, particularly for those in the £40k - £45k range while buyers wait to see if the 2017 prices will be 'adjusted' to get under £40k.........

So in 2017 what will 350/370 owners be paying? (Currently 370 coupes are one group lower than 350s) And presumably this will mean all ZEDs will atract th same tax - i.e the pre March 2006 lower rates/post March 2006 higher rates are abolished?

If your budget runs to a 313HR, then yes it is well worth imo. Just be careful when yu are looking for ads that say "facelift" as that can (and more often does) mean the 2006 rev-up that was introduced in March 2006 and unsold stock carried on being sold into '10 plates, as the 313Hr was introduced in 2007. Also many earlier 350's have had HR 'bulge' bonnets fitted as a desirable mod an some new buyers have been caught out........not helped by too many dealers either not knowing the difference (being generous with that description) and/or going solely by registration date. The HR engine can cope with up to 500bhp and more on standard internals, whereas the earlier engines are more restricted, unless forged. But in standard form there is naff all difference between the models on the road, speaking as someone who has had all 3 engines, albeit the HR engine in my case was in a 370 which has a little more bhp than the 350HR. Us petrol dinosaurs are no different to the reaction of many of the drivers/owners of horse-drawn carriages, once the 'carriages' offered more horsepower than the four-legged variety. But the good news is they are still around so there is hope for us who like the noise and gears etc and who might still be around when EV is the norm...........neigh?

My worry is that kerbs might just find the pink wheels too attractive not to get up too close and personal But can't fault the pearl white paint choice
