If your budget runs to a 313HR, then yes it is well worth imo. Just be careful when yu are looking for ads that say "facelift" as that can (and more often does) mean the 2006 rev-up that was introduced in March 2006 and unsold stock carried on being sold into '10 plates, as the 313Hr was introduced in 2007. Also many earlier 350's have had HR 'bulge' bonnets fitted as a desirable mod an some new buyers have been caught out........not helped by too many dealers either not knowing the difference (being generous with that description) and/or going solely by registration date. The HR engine can cope with up to 500bhp and more on standard internals, whereas the earlier engines are more restricted, unless forged. But in standard form there is naff all difference between the models on the road, speaking as someone who has had all 3 engines, albeit the HR engine in my case was in a 370 which has a little more bhp than the 350HR. Good luck with your search

Us petrol dinosaurs are no different to the reaction of many of the drivers/owners of horse-drawn carriages, once the 'carriages' offered more horsepower than the four-legged variety. But the good news is they are still around so there is hope for us who like the noise and gears etc and who might still be around when EV is the norm...........neigh?

My worry is that kerbs might just find the pink wheels too attractive not to get up too close and personal But can't fault the pearl white paint choice

Doing my own little research and certainly not to the depth you have, I found the link below informative (sorry if this is a repost) http://www.edisontec...ectricCars.html I guess they will get there in the end with something that is affordable by all, but can I ever see me losing my petrolhead obsession...............nah, unless I lose my hearing - I like the noise from the good ole sporty petrol engines too much

Most new smartphones will have problems connecting through bluetooth, so the feedback goes. Most will do the 'bose hack' for their music (unless head units are changed) - do a search on here if no one comes on with more advice as it's not something I personally wanted when I had my 350's as I just wound down the window for my music

That sucks - really sorry for you.

Over the years I have beeen on the forum this has been reported regularly as an issue and my 2006 350 did this on left hand turns, but I just got used to it and gave it a helping hand.

Looking at repeaters on the car when Darren first got the car the fronts one are now turned 180 degrees. Darren has probably done that to make it more areodynamic -

See page 1-13 of your handbook (2006 model - worldwide) about children in front seats and air bags. But as techinstaller says in the UK it seems this would be illegal but your spot of front facing child seat is the answer. -
Time to close this thread as it has gone so far off topic

Having seen the pic and noting you are hoping your present home is only temporary and it is a privacy issue, if it were me I would have gone for the bamboo, as per Sipar69's pic. Easy to install and reduce the height....if that became necessary. But as you have laid out good money for the fencing you are in the process of putting up, might as well stay with that until the Council insist it has to go, by which time you wil have hopefully found your home of choice.

Please read the trading rules if you wish to sell/swap items

But I guess he could use the screening up to the height of the existing fence as that would cover the holes? I'm not 100% sure if the OP has put up a replacement fence or his own in parallel to the one with the holes in. If the existing fence is still there then yes, blocking the 'holes' should be perfectly OK. Oh, and when moving always check the Local Authority Search carefully for 'added' restrictions that Local Planning Authorties can impose, including taking away normal permitted development rights (done for various reasons). All too often I found clients disappointed to find controls in place they had not anticipated or checked before purchase.
-
Nonsence of the planning laws, looking at that pic above, is that technically the bamboo would be regarded as a means of enclosure that if more than 2 metres high needs planning permission. But nothing to stop you growing shrubs/trees (i.e a hedge) on your side of the boundary that exceed 2 metres.

Enjoying the debate but for goodness sake StevoD/Jetpilot please stop belittling that by language/comments that if continued will only end up in the OP's thread being locked. Everyone is entitled to an opinion - my own is that electric cars have been around for over 100 years but all the while the oil barons control the global economy we will only see meaningful development if there is the political will. Oh, and for a few years I was involved with the trial tests of fully electric Peugots and Citreon vans that were then withdrawn by those companies as they one by one broke down. A lot of interest back then in the 1990's but development stalled. Great fun on grass though with the heavy battery packs adding helping the handbrake turns Yes, as a means of transport they are probably the future, but not at Tesla prices for the masses. And I'm afraid this petrolhead will no more look at putting his hard-earned into owning one of them, anymore that I would buy another diesel.........(made that mistake once ) Oh bugger, and just reminded myself that I might have to eat my words as I get ever nearer to mobility scooter age Suppose we all have make compromises at times.....

Hopefully comon-sense will prevail for you from what you have described. BTW, officers from the local planning authority are also a "council officers" (usually given the title of an enforcement officer), hence me covering both aspects

Explanation is here: http://www.350z-uk.c...or-1-month/ No more to be said. Grundy & others have offered their services in the meantime on this thread in terms of contact with Tarmac.

IF it is the planning department who have taken issue over th fence there is guidance here: http://www.planningp...nceswallsgates/ You will see there are exceptions and I'm drawn to the fact you have replaced something that is existing and if it were of similar height (photos to prove?) then you might get away with arguing it was to "maintain or improve". The front/door back door issue is something of a red herring. More to the point is where any boundary(means of enclosure) fronts a highway and that includes paths, grass verges etc over which the public have right of pass. Without seeing the layout it is difficult to help further. BUT. Was the call from the Council estates/housing department as normally any phyisical changes to Council property require their consent as owners. That 'control' can be far more onerous so a bit more info needed to help further.
