  1. Unless you use winter tyres, if you have to use roads on any meaningful slope the 370 (and 350 and most other RWD cars) do not do hills well in icy/snowy conditions - just mentioning after 9 years of ZED ownership and that given you are that much nearer the Artic Circle than me
  2. From what we understand the pistons in the rev-up engines were not made in the same place as the earlier DE engined ZEDs, including the GT4's. "Ken" the GT4 registrar on here has not heard of a GT4 engine having the same oil issues as the rev-up ZEDs.
  3. No need for a second thread so locking it.
  4. Many congratulations and best wishes for the future. Don't forget to tell your intended that you are keeping your 'mistress' though
  5. What's not helping is his 370 has 18" wheels (base model) rather than the usual 19" on the 370's. But great photos though
  6. Well and truly tested and still going strong and from my visit to Knockhill that Alex uses the gearbox is not exactly left idle
  7. Jap imports seem to come with a lot more options than UK supplied but whether that was one I don't recall it being mentioned on here - but then not sure if the OP has a UK car or import?
  8. Helps if it is a HPC as I found the local Nissan dealer to me said their mechanics were not trained to do 370's (of which they sold few, if any). Kinda respected them for saying that and as we know the 370 is rather special . I was quite happy to travel an hour and half to get the warranty servicing done right. Mind you, after 3 years I used Kaizer for servicing and other specialist work and he was even further away but least it was nice to have two long drives

    E9X M3....

Is it really the appointment issue, or a hankering for a decent V8 engined car? No company car to use? If it is the former there were times in my working life when turning up in a ZED would probably have not gone down too well. But then there were some clients who spent most of the appointment asking and enthusing about the ZED and that made the work 'deal' much easier . Otherwise, I would take our shopping trolly or if the misses was using it I would park away from the client's house Sometimes finding what I thought be a safe parking spot was not always easy though. If it is the V8 need, then I'll have to pass on that one having never owned one.........................to date.
  10. Different, but I don't understand why the double lines that drop down from the rear lights and across the front wings and seemingly not around the door openings or upper part of the rear hood, that I ca see from those images, so it looks a bit 'confused' and then messy to my eye. But then perhaps there is a reason for that lining layout I don't understand? But not for me.
  11. Meets are a good place to sell (and buy) parts so good luck you If they don't sell and you want to use the forum to advertise then just follow the posting rules
  12. At a guess, I wonder if those wheels offsets do not clear Brembos so the guy thought he would make a saving/killing by flogging the Brembos and replacing them with jdms? Edit: Whatever, those brakes with 400BHP are for the very brave
  13. Post by Niko is fully compliant with the sub forum rule, for anyone wondering
  14. Looking back at your posts I see one pic you posted here: http://www.350z-uk.c...0z-oem-19-rays/ which looks like Titanium Grey to me which was only available for a short time. Checks out with the KAC code - see here: http://www.courtesyp...cPath=5906_5906 and here is an old brochure showing the colour 370Z_Customer_handout1.pdf
  15. If you two (StevoD & Jetpilot) turn this thread into another personal "I'm right - your wrong" one then not only are you spoiling the debate for others you both might be looking at some gardening leave......
  16. So that means the 'action' shots we see posted in any number of motoring magzines such as EVO where cars are being drifted, sorry tested, round hairpins on public roads will no longer feature With in-car cameras and social media these days they are just a recipe for similar reports. If so, hope that includes those drivers who drive at 40 everywhere (apart from anything resembling a bend when walking pace is the order) and whether the limit is 60 or 30 and usually identifed by a long queue of following drivers apart from built-up areas when the inconsiderate driver speeds through still at 40. They hold up other drivers who would much prefer to drive up, and down, to the prevailing speed limits, when conditions permit. At least the Scots recognize that issue of slower drivers on their single track roads: http://www.scotlandi...ds-in-scotland/ Something I wish the England and Wales would adopt.
  17. A water based engine degreser to get the lose stuff off and then gave it a good scrubbing with some brake fluid. Its a water based grime remover so it should be fine. The later was to see what you would say I didnt directly rub the pads anyway. So you like wasting our time.......no doubt Alex, I and others on here who try to steer those who are genuinely looking for help will have your card marked, you having pretended to be clueless and then like a wind-up with no hint of a bit of fun - a smilie maybe? The next time you seek help don't be surprised if it falls on deal ears
  18. Er, not sure that was a good idea as you will have contaminated the brake shoes and you will need to replace them. Had a feeling you might have used other than soapy water. The handrake on the ZEDs is never that great anyway and introducing those agents on the shoes will simply add to the loss of any substantive grip.
  19. what did liquid did you use?
  20. Well, that was good What a refreshing change and nice tributes for Jules - a life lost far, far too young and with so much talent.
  21. Have you been cleaning them with something, looking at the mark on the brake shoe and what appears to be liquid around the backplate etc?
  22. I see the pic Grundy posted looks to be the the car and guys involved...looking at the accident scene pics here: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/two-brits-dead-after-car-6130423 Sad loss of life.
  23. Think you will find that has been spotted just recently in Reigate. The badge on the back is a sure giveaway http://www.350z-uk.c...wheels-reigate/
  24. Yep A bit of info about you and your car?
