  1. In all honesty, I've added them (to the 370) for the looks but the difference in handling etc is indectable. But I did without them on the previous 350's but then with the LMGT4's wheels they were not necessary IMO, even for the looks. I come from an era when wide wheels/spacers etc were known to prematurely knock out wheel bearings but I can't recall in the 6 years+ I have been on here anyone with either a 350 or a 370 posting up about shot bearings as a result of using spacers.
  2. Not enough for you then to be tempted
  3. Mark has itemised the bits before: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=54314&start=0 (starts half way down on the first page) But as per the above post he has found more since then
  4. Locked as items sold
  5. You were a real lazy git then
  6. Good news Jay, but it would still get those witness statements while its still fresh in minds? I find in my professional role its better to get witness advice sooner rather than later - in the same way the police do, as it could make the difference if crunch time does come
  7. Great work Ian So where are the work in progress pics Col, or did you just sit back with a cold beer and watch
  8. Belated birthday wishes - hope you had a good-un
  9. Slight correction. Unlike the 350, the ecu on 370 does allow and keep performance increases, as it was found on mine - the Stillen Exhaust had added some extra 18bhp over stock (as claimed) for me a year or so earlier. BUT, those carrying out the uprevs have found the 370's are set to run overly rich from the factory whilst the mapping can be adjusted to suit personal preferences. What I found, and I believe it is much the same for others, is that although power increases can be maximised with the uprev to suit -the process of leaning off the mixture means the mpg is not adversely affected and can even be improved....as I have found on the motorway trips That said, the synchro rev works so well that together with the mods/uprev you just can't help yourself enjoying the combination so then the mpg goes back down But like anything to do with mpg (and if that really is a concern) it all comes back to how you use your right foot
  10. Good advice and remember, the reason why we require a minimum of 100 posts when someone wants to sell their ZED on here is so that buyers can get a better appreciation of car and at least some if not all of its history
  11. Yep, non GT but with the mods done that should really be no issue for potential buyers
  12. I didn't buy any of my 3 ZEDs with economy in mind, I leave that consideration for the +1's transport
  13. A little search, and for me and the photos on here are worth checking out, especially if you like something slammed (350's and 370's ) http://theautobible.blogspot.co.uk/2012 ... chive.html Samples - one from that link for wasso and one for the kerbs But getting back to the topic title

    Decent mats?

Moved your post from the 370 section
  15. Good to see a 370 this side of the pond turning making some decent power You may have said somewhere so forgive me for asking if that is the case, but what tyres are you using to handle that output?
  16. Initially thought it might have got caught up in a swollen river flood with that damage and then of course all the electrics would be shot, but the fact air-bags have gone off would seem to make that unlikely unless the cars was being driven at the time

    UK update
  18. Very tempted............ Negotiations in progress
  19. Its a bugger ain't it - I'm sure I've doubled my gear changes since I've had the 370
  20. Hope you and your ZED enjoy your break Expect you will come back with an itchy right foot, eh
  21. Great job
  22. And with a valet parking map on retricting the rpm it certainly does sound like there is soemthing very big under the bonnet warming up, eh Mark
  23. Reading the road well ahead (on motorways in particular) to see blockages like lorries taking 3 miles to overtake something so you can adjust your speed/lane to avoid the last minute brakers who simply tunnel vision on the car in front, certainly helps the mpg. Also makes life safer by anticipating the clowns who suddenly realise they are then slowing and want to swing out at the last moment. But its then that annoying factor when you do leave decent stopping room and idiots simply take the opportunity to jump in, often without signalling. And, then when traffic is heavy you inevitably find yourself bunching up more than you want to stop that 'jumping in' and going backwards (sic) and then causing impatience and under-cutting from behind. But the best thing I found to save fuel in the 370 on the motorway was having the UPREV - improved consumption by 2-3 mpg under the same driving conditions so that 30+ is achievable at the usual speeds, as well as delivering more power...... Before the UPREV it was a bit frustrating I could not get near 30mpg unless I kept under............(censored). Er:
