  1. As Atkin666 suggests, I am sure you will find it is the system has 'lost' temporary contact with the key and it might possibly be a conflict with other electronics. I've had it happen on occasions and you will invariably find either by moving the key when in the car or when you get out its working perfectly OK. Same thing happens on the odd occasion with the bluetooth connection - just one of those oddities you get with wireless connections - the times I've sworn when the TV remote won't operate at the crucial moment No doubt the battery in the fob(s) will need replacing at some point - something I plan to ask to be checked/done at the 3year service coming up in October.
  2. I thought the username was a pretty good clue......
  3. Great pics Andrew

  5. Here you go - this the guide I was thinking of: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=21318&start=0
  6. Much appreciated buddy thanks You are best off searching via Google than directly through the search function on here due to the site being very very slow atm - an issue currently beuing worked on. There certainly is a fix to your speaker problem
  7. +1 - get well soon
  8. Sadly you're right, and whilst I know he's trying to fight it as best he can it was almost embarrassing to see a great man like him having a carer by his side pushing his arm up and telling him to wave For the sake of his legend, I hope he's not paraded in front of the world like that too many more times in his life. Agreed, and I'm afraid its about time they pensioned off Paul M from these ceremonies - he's not doing himself any favours now But it was a good show and quite amazing how they got all those volunteers to move the sets about it what seemed a faultless show
  9. The first one of those two is not a 313 as advertised So if that is what you are after (and I would suggest you would do better looking for a HR 313 engined facelift) then you forget that one
  10. Ah, you didn't see the first post then
  11. and another http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-19010407

  13. That was lomoto's 350 (the first UK owner) - some great mods on there
  14. Welcome along Paul - and man after my own heart in a way with you coming from old school Minis as when I bought my first ZED in 2005 I traded in a Smart against it (It was a Brabus version though, but the bhp difference was, er, noticable )
  15. Trade-in to a large trader where the car is likely to be moved onin the trade - agreed Trade-in where the garage would try to retail it themselves then if has a decent amount of unexpired tax and they think they have a potential buyer lined up then I would expect them to include it as part of the valuation - always check. Trade-in to a small time trader - they would bite your hand off to leave the tax on, especially if it is expensive tax or a low value car - you only have to look at the ebay listings to see the carrot of remaining tax. But also, as we have a family member who specializes in selling sub £1.5k cars for those who want 'sheds' or can't afford anything more, when he is sourcing new stock it certainly is a factor if the car has good tax on it as invariably the buyers expect that and a decent MOT and he dosen't want to buy 6 months worth if he can avoid it. So your use of the word "Ever" is not real world Dan. But then if you run a tarted up beetle the tax is small change anyway
  16. Uisng the A24 on Wednesday, one other benefit is the roads being used are all wonderfully pot-hole free with proper re-surfacing and all along the cycle routes everywhere has been tided up. God knows what that all cost as well as the cycling monument on the roundabout at Denbies winery entrance.
  17. Was this the link Al? (Zooming in retains the image quality) http://metafaq.nissan.co.uk/resources/n ... 190605.pdf
  18. Dealer can't claim the money on the tax - but he might have taken into account when pricing the vehicle - need to check if it is included in the valuation, otherwise you simply apply for a refund for the unexpired months http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/motoring/ow ... g_10012526 He can't these days, unless he registers the car in his name
  19. Price aside - it looks a stunning car
  20. I can't agree at all. In 50k miles of driving the Zed on 452's I have never had any grip problems with them including the 2 nasty Winters with lots of snow. For the money they can't be beaten. They also wear extermely well. I think this is the point so many people miss, for the money, they perform ok. Yes they won't ever be as good as Michelins or Goodyears, but then they are half the price and my philosophy is that there are no such thing as 'ditch-finding tyres, only with finding drivers' drive within the limits of the tyre and mostly things will be fine. Well said Col and I absolutely agree, after my experience with the 452's on 19" Nismos that I had on the last 350 and they performed fine, wet or dry, including numerous spirited drives with other ZED owners in Wales and Scotland. Great value for the money But will the 453's be better on the ZEDs...............hmmmm
  21. Here is a very good enough reason not to cheapskate on your spacers viewtopic.php?f=102&t=62092 And no problems since - enough said.
