Personally, I think that pouring water over an iced up car is never a good idea as chances are when you park up and its still freezing you are likely to end up with doors frozen to the rubber seals. Drying seals if wet and a freeze is expected might help prevent the doors jaming. De-icer or a heat source would be best for the locks, IMO.

Hi tonys Using the "attach files" for pics does limit the size of the pics. But much, much better is to use something like Photobucket or Flicker that then allows any size of pic to be posted up on here by pasteing the URL into the green 'Image' box :wink: Look forward to seeing the pics then

As regards the warning light on the dash that a door is open, I would check all the sensors in the door shuts, boot and bonnet - one may have just got stuck to throw the light. Pulling back the rubber sleeve to get some WD40 in might be all that is needed.

Maybe the same one as I see parked in Grange Road, Sutton - has the 370 logos along the sides :wink:
