  1. Suggest you put the removed weight in a pocket Mark - I have visions of you hanging on the lid trying to shut it back down as you are hardly a great lump like the rest of us 370 owners
  2. Search for "fuel damper" that could be your ticking noise - common issue and easily fixed
  3. Why is it though that DIY things on the car always happen in the winter? Is it just me or is life just out to get me ! I got half way through your first post and thought Victor Meldrew had signed up Not another
  4. It certainly won't be Doom & Gloom Oh, Come On, they certainly about to Not Fade Away
  5. dErZ - you mustn't shown Chris things like that he will be having wet dreams
  6. Some good skills going on there - Spike in the S2000 with the 2 'volunteers' was particularly impressive. Yes Jay you are getting old well before your years mate Gives a clue as to why the Irish have been so good at autotesting and road rallying..........
  7. Hang on, this is Leeroys car and he sold to RobPhoboS and they have both been posting today http://www.350z-uk.c...tc/#entry966639 Scam seemingly going on here Globalslater - someone has just nicked Leeroys for sale post and is trying it on
  8. You were expecting a lot of chips buying 3 I got one of those myself a while back from the US that I keep in the car and has been just as good as the 3-stage stuff bought here for stone chip touch ups, which cost a lot more.
  9. I expect you will be one of the youngest at that OAP get-to-gether Graham (I'm only jealous)
  10. One of the most challenging issues I find is that you know you have read a guide or answer for 'how-to', but you can spend ages tracking it down, even using the search functions you think should pin-point it. A good thread heading is eseential in my book rather than (say) "Look what I did today" , that turns out to offer something really useful.
  11. Welcome to the forum and look forward to seeing some pics, and yes if you are using the "attach files" method each pic is restricted to 2mb. (That method consumes a disproportionate amount of our storage space, hence the restriction). BUT, if you have your pics saved on the net, just copy the URL of each use the little green box (in the more reply options section) to post pics as big as you like
  12. Amazing what you can do with a wire coathanger
  13. When the first turbo Saabs came out they were loved by everyone under 30, the thump in the back from the turbo lag was a whole new power thing then being one of the first FI cars that ordinary peeps could reasonably afford. Sadly the latest generation Saabs hold no appeal at all for me but then I haven't grown up, when it coms to cars, with my age
  14. That's Russia off my list of countries to visit
  15. I expect the dealer did this Roadster trunk release.pdf
  16. Can you paste up the literature you have drawn from? I'm assuming your car is a UK supplied GT4 (asking that as there was an unusual variation/specification on a GT4 a while back that originated in Cyprus iirc) In fact I'm not sure we have see any pics of yours yet? Just trying to narrow down the problem for you......
  17. The pages I added are for a 2006 350, but then having had a 2004 350 (both UK) the alarm opration was the same, IIRC. I'm struggling to understand the buzzer bit you mention - I don't recall that - activation/deactivation was confirmed by the hazard lights and the immobilizer light on the dash. Can someone else help longsh07?
  18. If Caroline does lose her job, losing 'her' car as well might seem like a double whammy And it does seem the HR engine has less issues than the DE's, so far so as a long termer............ .
  19. Have a read of the attached, if you have not seen that before in case it helps. 2006-Nissan-350Z - alarm.pdf You haven't mentioned if the immobilizer light is working (page 2.21) - if that is not then something is certainly amiss
  20. I've lost count of the replica parts we have seen on ebay for 350 parts, most of which from reports back turn out to be absolute shite and a waste of money. But not wishing to generalize, sometimes the replicas turn out to be sound and feedback has been a few are considered better than the genuine article. For me, I would always want to see others experiences with said item, whether that is from a recognized supplier or a copier, before I parted with my hard-earned. So I would advise about doing an advanced search on here for info, or if that doesn't come up trumps, to then post an ask.
  21. Go into "My Settings" and then " Notifications" - sounds like the new forum has defaulted to ticking more boxes than you want
  22. At least if the Bitch goes green with envy Chris, it won't show.
  23. 4pm from my office today Just my basic Panasonic DMC-FZ100 on full zoom with no fancy lens and just using the 'sunset setting' option. Quite pleased with that hand held pic, and not being into photography in any serious way.
