  1. Have a good one............or two................or three............or forget counting and just enjoy
  2. There is no need to take the brake assemblies apart to check for pad wear..........its a simple visual check.
  3. I don't get that. As there is no way you would have needed new pads with that mileage (and I hope you were not charged for any), so it should have been a simple visual check as part of the 'service'. So quite why it started happening after the 'service' is baffling. I see Wessex are a HPC dealer which is somewhat alarming when they then want to charge you £150 to cure a brake noise that from your description is certainly "not characteristic" - a term you might like to use in further discussions. I would take it to another dealer - hopefully that is what Nissan will say.
  4. +1 that was really handy. Picking up on that concern, by clicking on "archive conversation" at the foot of the last message it will send that series of messages to your email. Might help those who like to keep their stuff and is also a way of helping the forum.
  5. As others had suggested, you will need a min of 2 days and get there early to avoid the queues A little taster from this year http://www.350z-uk.c...+goodwood +2012 and you will see, it is not only the fans that get excited
  6. Depreciation???. I would sell early next spring and then if the bug is still, 1 year, 2 years etc down the line get another at what will be a lower price, or get a later model with the money put aside when you are ready. That is head and not heart so, your decision at the end of the day.......
  7. In the "more reply options" click on the green box (image) and simply add the URL of your pic(s) you have stored in photobucket (or whathaveyou) - job done!
  8. Here for example http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/64381-4-michelin-ss-ordered/page__st__20
  9. Not jealous!!! +1 Enjoy - building up for a great end of season finale.
  10. PM Ebized, he has them on the 370 and rates them highly For the price (around £760 for a set in Sept 2011), I have found them excellent and very predictable with the TC off, noting the other thread currently running Like glrnet, I had understood they were being discontinued. Seeing a set MPSS for the 370 can be had for under a grand now that is likely to be my next choice.
  11. You can turn it off or on when driving - when it is off you get the little warning symbol on the dash. By default it is always on when you start the car. One of the 'attractons' of having an older car or something like a TVR where you don't have TC. While it is no doubt a 'safety' feature that will benefit those who do not like to fully explore the car and/or their abilities, for those who do like the challenge and used correctly, having the TC off brings the car 'alive' and is in a ZED that is very rewarding in my experience. Its there for a reason Colin - not many of our members have 40+ yrs driving and motorsport experience! Many of our members aren't even 40+ Might be why old farts get cheaper insurance

  13. Given the good fortune of having the firework remanents including the bar code, I reckon you might well have a very case to make a successful claim. They will (and certainly if the event was Council sanctioned) be required to have PI in place for 'x' milions - and given this last year: http://www.itv.com/news/meridian/2012-10-20/man-charged-over-motorway-deaths/ Go for it
  14. Having never had a front-engine rear wheel drive sports car prior to my first ZED 7 years ago, it was a little while before I started exploring the TC options and found the confidence to turn it off within my skill level. Nowadays it is: Normal road driving I don't bother turning it off. Spirited driving it gets turned off - nothing worse on tight corners or at junctions having the TC kicking in but if there is heavy rain or standing water it will get switched on - no point in pushing the limits in that sort of weather. When I really have no choice and have to use the car on snow it will get switched off as it will help the traction. (Brakes more or less get 'switched off' and I just use the gears/handbrake for slowing - that comes from early off-road motorsport experience.) On sheet ice I pray.
  15. Always my concern at this time of year having to leave the ZED outside You won't get anywhere with the Council - they will just say "prove it was one or ours" But, this might help maybe http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/64682-vinyl-wrapping-business/#entry958197
  16. Click on the more reply options to post and then the green box (image) and put in the URL (from photobucket or wherever you have your pics stored on the net) - easy peasy
  17. Did you have this sorted? http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/59847-wifey-is-now-banned/page__hl__wheel and they stil have the locking nut key, or they put it in the car somewhere that you haven't checked since then?
