Hiya, A couple of questions if you could help me with? I have just bought my second Z (2006 coupe), but I cannot get my head around the below: - How does Navigation switch off? I found out how to switch off the display but the unit still runs in the background. - Where can I find an updated maps DVD? The one that came with the car is pretty scratched and doesn't work properly (if not at all) and the ones they sell on satnavi are either for models up to 2005 or for imports. Could anyone help in exchange for a beer? Thanks Babbis

you replace the speakers without replacing the amp, you will blow your amp. That is what ohm is about. more ohm = more resistance = more power consumption. it will still work as long as you keep the volume down. But why changing the speakers if you are not planning to get the volume up?

Normal impedance for car-stereo is 4ohm. For hifi home stereo is 8ohm (and 12ohm for some tweeters). The bose stereo is on 1ohm, to minimise power consumption and produce loudness from a mini-amplifier. However, quality is sacrificed. This is why the standard Bose system is using a very small amplifier for all those speakers. If you are about changing speakers, it is better to take the whole amplifier off the new speakers and plug them straight in the new stereo, or the 4ohm speakers that you have just got will be always thirsty for more power (4 times more) that the poor mini-amp does not have.

Just checked it on mine (05 Roadster GT). The button works even with the lights off. Also sometimes when I do the windscreen wash, the headlight washer goes on as well (1 out of 5 times). Dunno why, maybe it is random? edit: I read in a Lexus forum that the headlight washers are additionaly meant to go on every third windscreen wash when the Lights are on.

I think mine only the "slippery road" light goes on.
