  1. That's what I did But use a HPC dealer who knows what they are dealing with. Chances are Nissan will say to the dealer a rebuild* but as Zmanalex says, under warranty you should insist on a new box and that is where you need to have the service manager on board to support you. (*Edit: that was from my experience)
  2. Outstanding pics - really show off the light changes that so much better than OEM
  3. Which one of your country estates was it where the pics were taken? You will be giving madmarky a run for his money is the most modded Zed on here - oh, and better add the Bitch to that comparison too.
  4. 2009/2010 models at the moment Will. Low mileage cars tho, but perhaps it is an age/exposure to sunlight/weathering thing that exacerbates the colour match issue on some cars? (In addition to the plastic/metal paint-from-factory issue) The issue starts with the painting by Nissan (and other manufacturers are the same - my wife's Mazda is even worse) and I can honestly say it does not seem to have changed over the 4+ years I have had GUNS. The painters who I have spoken to and who have done excellent work on members cars on here do say it is a regular issue - no doubt if you were prepared to pay for super car quality it could be addressed but I think you would find Andy that you would soon not worry about it as you see your chosen car is much the same as others, avoiding of course the poorer examples, like Sipar mentions ^^^^
  5. Andy I am so disappointed you have not looked at my car closer . Cos like every other pearl white 370 I have seen, the painted plastic bits are different shades to the metal parts, but then again it has been issue with the 350's. The strange thing is the "shade" can look darker than the adjacent metal painted section from one angle and then you look at it from another angle and it appears lighter. I took up the issue with the Nissan dealer and he advised mine was little different to every other 370 that had passed through their premises and even showed me other marques, including BMW, where you could see excactly the same situation - accepting of course some were more evident than others. When I had my sills repainted (by a Nissan approved paintshop and paid by me because of stone-chipping), they too are a different shade although the match externally was better than before. But open the doors and the more creamy looking colour compares more drastically with the rear wing. But I've got over the concerns and what I will say the paint is far easier to maintain than my previous Ebisu 350, the main irritation being the stone chipping as I am completely hopeless at touching those in with the 3 stage stuff and more often than not looks worse that when I started Just wish there were specialists out there (not the chips away outfits that are akin kwik fit in my book) that I could entrust to do a pro job as the last thing I want is to have the front end repainted....
  6. If the opportunity arises ask her if, on reflection having having considered the Director's stance, she was 100% satsified with her email. If she says yes then say nothing more, unless she asks you what you think and that may lead to an opportunity to suggest other ways of kicking ass. If she says maybe she was a bit OT, that just might have the desired effect. We see any number of posts on here that get interpreted clearly differently to what the author had intended. And we have heard of some members or their family members losing their jobs as a result of work emails that have gone wrong for them. The downside of us all using keyboards nowadays rather than face to face discussion as the evidence is there in black and white. So as her nearest and dearest she might well value your thoughts but always best if you can tease her asking rather than going into the minefield of giving advice and on that note I'll now shut up
  7. Colin, You're welcome to have a go in it when we'll see eachother next! The Woodman meet maybe? Er, very kind Adrian but can I pass on that offer until the s/c's are fitted But I will be bringing the camera along to the Woodman now the car is looking what I would have largely done..... if I had the balls and were a few years younger A few (cough) Sent from the golf club... By a few I was thinking 60, but is that still too old to be modding
  8. Hey Dave, didn't know you did TV adverts, kinda uncanny or maybe I haven't seen you for a while
  9. If it is the LCD one it says "MAINTENANCE" with the oil can diagram, so I suggest a visit to specsavers is in order
  10. Hyundai/Kia are much improved brands no doubt learning a lot from Japs who showed the west what could be offered for lot less money and more equipment as standard. Yes, some of the models are dire but then some Nissan models have left much to be desired. Given what you get for your buck, I wouldn't dismiss them on name alone, but then I guess if you are measuring them against Porsche etc it's a bit of a come down.......
  11. Have you not seen the in-car aids Graham has to get him around the countryside....but then I guess when one says go one way and another says go another route..........he he
  12. so what are you trying to tell us here colin ? " High Risk Zone" and coping with the plethora of fixed cameras out for your cash has come in quite useful at times, and particuarly when you are responsible for helping others find their way round the countryside
  13. When have you seen Adrian ever drive a straight line in Wales?
  14. Aberdeen...Scotland ''/ ha Just a liitle up the road from Keyser then Clark Motorsport might be a better option for you, if necessary : http://www.clarkmoto...tact-Us/42.html
  15. Agreed - the bluetoooth connectivity works perfectly with the S3 I use. No idea about the music side of things - there are a couple of holes for plugs-in the cubby, but I bought the car to listen to its music..... Although the non-connect premium does not have the postcode - the search facility automatically limits the options as you type in the town/road and will offer house numbers at the end and each time it has literally taken me to the door. I have updated the CD to the latest version (about £12 off the tinternet) and that has helped with advance warnings about road closures etc. It does not have the speed camera locations but then I use a snooper to help keep my licence The sat nav works the same as the connect premium and I have used it for countless Z drives and it has never let me down (famous last words ). Although it takes patience entering routes and waypoints - get it right and it is spot on. Even my +1 has given up trying to map read as she did before we had the 370 and I tried to rely on co-pilot on my phone and she out-shone it every outing

  17. Stiff as in it won't turn? Try some WD40, years of not being used (never used mine in 7 years) will stiffen it up a bit . Pete Pete - you are being a touch naughty there , but more seriously you should be be able to get in using the key lock. Might help the experts on here if you say here what electrics you played around with before the issue.
  18. That is now looking very nice Be interesting to hear your thoughts on how it drives compared to OEM suspension etc changes you have made...........before the s/c's are added
  19. We know, one of our ZED owners (from your neck of these Isles) jumped ship for a Saab, but she misses us so much she's given up trying to spark interest on the forum so she stays on here. Nice pics BTW
  20. That's good then - don't want any unwanted penetrations grabbing the headlines
  21. Given the strength of the noses to withstand frontal impacts, makes you wonder if anyone has considered the potential damage of one car T-boning another?
