    Little tweak to the car

Oh, and these are sat behind them now too.....
  3. Finally got round to it. Hard work finding something a little rare, that I like, for the right money (ie not 30%+ what the car is worth!) 6. Driver training - way out of date Speed limit - only relevant because of the above I don't even think it is down to the size of the engine in a car for a new driver. It should be one with no brake servo, skinny little tyres, no power steering and only then do you learn to drive IMO.....
  7. There are other clubs going yep. We are speaking with the usuals about a mass site.
  8. One for the sun, drifting and a great location.....
  9. Of course - that's basically what Wales is...
  10. This is simply setting the standard. It is a club drive out, not a track session, and is something that is done with the public all around us. No flags, no recovery trucks, no crash helmets - and children and families coming the other way. When they are the consequences, there is no other option. That said, I am happier writing on this thread than anything more serious. And it should be said that overall the club events are attended and treated with the utmost respect, resulting in some of the best car based events I have ever been part of.
  11. Great meet, and there are shows coming up all over the summer. Get your names down people

    Wales weekend

Am about to set off - anyone else heading from the south that wants to meet up let me know!
  15. Er, why wasn't I there when that happened?! To be honest, I did notice a load of hand prints on the boot - I will take the pictures to prove it! Not bad pics though!
  16. But you don't get yolk and white wrapped in pastry when you ask for an egg roll.
  17. Yep, definitely did the pads! I've done the pads before, so it was just the lines I didn't get to do. Looking at it, am I right thinking the line replacement is literally in place of all the flexible elements?? Chris - how do I know if I need to have this skimming at all?? Initially there is huge stopping power and decent feel. Will look for Bennets threads.... Will have a look for a brakeline spanner - any suggestions where to get such a thing? Thanks for the help
  18. Sorry to hear this. IMO, if you need to get rid of a sports car, then get the most sensible thing you can. A compromise will cost you more than a diesel eco warrior and still not give you the performance or looks you want. So take the hit, save a load of cash in insurance, tax and fuel and then come back sooner with another Zed mate. And I am speaking from experience mate Hope you can find a way to avoid it at all of course
  19. After yesterday's track session, here is the effort on the brake change.....! The kit - Performance Friction front discs, DBA 4000 slotted rear discs, Performance Frictions pads front and rear, HEL brake lines and Motul RBF600 fluid The front discs exposed It took us an hour to get the car raised enough to get the ramp mounts in place so there was nothing putting weight on the skirts. Really frustrating! Got the wheels off And proof the change was needed! And then managed to get them changed over! After the time to get the car up on the ramp, I didn't have time to change the lines. Will do that in a couple of weeks - need to get some pictures to check the line change as well.....
  20. Great pics and great weather! Biggest thanks to the Z club for their organisation as ever, this is easily one of the best shows going. And to Martin for helping get numbers up. Was nice meeting some of the new people, sorry if I didn't get to say hi.... Thanks for getting the video footage while I was on track, was a really well behaved session. I made sure I gave the brakes some stick as I now have some new ones!
  21. Check the traders to see what they can offer.
  22. http://www.porscheenginefailure.com/ http://www.total911.com/news/466/ Informed means in control! A good friend had one go pop. It took a LOT of work getting Porsche to do anything.
