  1. Eh?! How'd that happen??
  2. For all it is cracked up to be I am sure it is really enjoyable. It would just be looking at that Griffin that would get to me! Enjoy it mate
  3. I think it's more about getting the handling as the manufacturer intended rather than anything else. For example, if a car was known to understeer massively in the wet in 'standard' guise, then you might try some better performing wet weather tyres on the front to 'dial in' you own front end grip. But the point is unless you really know what you're doing it is a dangerous game to play! For example, if you owned a Vectra you would put Conti Eco Contact Sports on the front and run the rears on the wheel rims in the vague hope it might turn a corner. I think the post explains itself.
  4. Aaah, so hella flush is ghetto for 'looks like a roller skate'!!! Is flush an English term for wheels hidden in the arches No - 'tis a term described for removing waste from a loo....
  5. Aaah, so hella flush is ghetto for 'looks like a roller skate'!!!
  6. For a flush looking wheel fit you are generally looking at high 'teens or low twenties for your offsets. From that list, 20 would be the one I'd go for....
  7. V2 bumper - started you a new thread as this one is for wheels.....
  8. There are 4 captive nuts on the top of the engine that you undo, nothing much to it.
  9. Good to see them on now!! Very nice indeed
  10. Suggested routine: Cling film any connectors / air intakes Spray with a degreaser (I use AG Engine & Machine Cleaner) Agitate with various brushes. Re-apply degreaser if needed, do not let it dry. Rinse with a light running hose so as not to blast anything out the way / break anything. Dry thoroughly. Dress plastics / polish as needed. (AG Vinyl and Rubber care is good for the plastics) Mine:-
  11. Good luck with the work now!
  12. As for the engine bay, cling film any electrical connectors. Spend plenty of time doing it making sure you've got them all.
  13. Until they take your front bumper with them!!
  14. I like that. Just a shame the thing is full of lead shot or whatever it is to make it so damn heavy!!
  15. Everyone will have their own routines.... I wash every week or two if needed (ie if it has been out of the garage!) You can top up the wax whenever Once you have the wax / sealant on the car, you don't really want to polish. You need to remove the protection you have built up so you will need to use a more concentrated wash to strip the surface. Then you go through the clay / polish stuff again. How often you leave it between polishing efforts depends on how often you top the wax up and what wax you use. As CLB noted, there are waxes that can protect for up to 12 months so with a top up of some Red Mist for example, you would just need to keep it mildly washed. As for washing technique, most people go for the two buscket method. This is one bucket with the car wash in, and another with clean water and a grit guard in the bottom. And do NOT use a sponge. Reason being the flat surface of a sponge simply moves the grit around the car, therefore putting swirls and scratches into the surface. A wash mitt allows the grit to absorb a bit. You then use the clean bucket to rinse the dirty mitt before dipping back into the wash bucket and hitting the car again. Hope that makes sense!
  16. Swerve the Mer! Pick up some Chemical Guys / Poorboys / Dodo Juice products and you'll notice the difference...... I use a CG wash, Sonus clay, Poorboys Super Swirl Remover (if needed), Poorboys White Diamond glaze, CG jetSEAL 109 sealant and then either P21S (R222) or Dodo Juice wax
  17. Mentioning that there are x hundred views of your story on hear might help too - and that if you type in 350Z warranty issues into Google we're in the first 10 results..... They can be pretty good when they get an incentive.
  18. Nicely done. Now you can show your mates how much quicker / better looking / better sounding it is than all the others!
  19. Get pictures taken before end of warranty AND send them to Nissan Customer Services. That is pretty much the only way you can prove that it was in the state you claim before the warranty period. Get something else in the pic to prove it is yours too.
  20. For that money, I'd be getting some different components (TV, tuner, dvd player etc) and get it all installed with some nice custom finishing.....

    Little tweak to the car

I know it's taken a while, but all good things......!! And you should know better Bronzee, it's gunmetal!!! I have to say the front wheel with those brakes behind does look a bit good IMO......

    Little tweak to the car

Performance Friction (fronts only) and DBA 4000 slotted for the rear. No noisier in any way, apart from the noise a passenger makes when I hit the middle pedal!
