i think the EK9 engine fits in there fairly easily, best bet is to check out the civic forums for the info you want, they have done many an engine swap. there is a new member on here, who has come over from the CTR so he would probably have a better idea, jerry somebody.

+1 for the iphone, i looked at all the other phones, but the ipohne offers the best quality. my wife just got ride of her nokia as it was useless. dropping calls, freezing programmes, bought herself the samsung tocco and loves it.

as said so many times before, tyres are a personal preference, horses for courses, no matter how many people you get post on here there won't be a unanimous decision on what to use. me personally, i will be putting vredestein ssantas on all four corners when the stones run out. other options on here are your toyos and falkens. to put in simple terms you gets what you pays for (quote from popeye) ultra high performance tyres -Michelin Pilot sports -vredestein ssantas -bridgestone re040's and 50's midrange/budget -toyo proxies t1r -falkens 452 cheap crap - nankang - marshall these are just a few your UHP tyres will cost the most and strike a balance between wear, stiffness, grip lifespan and tyre noise, the firther you go down the more the differences vary, some have better dry grip but are a softer compound and wear out quicker etc. me personally wouldn't stick anything other than UHP tyres on the ZED. midrange and budgets are good, but they are not as progressive as the UHP the grip is great until the point that they let go. but it all depends on how hard you drive the car. if you drive the car on the edge all the time and like totrack a car, or just want that piece of mind then get UHP if your a sporadic blatter and tend to blip the throttle on the straights and the occassional energetic drive, then save your money and get the midrange. if you have a death wish and want to turn your car into a ditch finding missle then fit the cheap crap ones. hope that helps. just my view, and i'm sure others will agree and disagree. same as has been said in all the other tyre posted threads

they will either sell or they won't used this technique all the time, took down examples off autotrader to local nissan, there car was £4k over priced. most he would knock off was a couple of hundred. his response was if you won't buy it someone else will. if you find one cheaper else where, why not just go and buy that one. i haven't bought a car locally since my very first one. i live in suffolk and bought my zed from harrowgate, my last car was from stoke on trent, and the ca rbefore that was enfield. if the savings worht the travel then travel. i didn't even test drive the zed i bought, saw it asked the right questions agreed on a px, they brought it down for me and took mine away. as it was from a dealer the miles were low i wasn't worried, as you have comeback on things and a warranty.

SUNDAY 19TH APRIL > BLUEWATER MEET!!! *POST MEET*!
rtbiscuit replied to jerry3167's topic in Meets, Shows and Events
i might make a few of these -
if it makes things worse, i'm going to replace all my bridgestones with Vredestein Ssantas. very good tires, not hughly known about. favourites of the corvette scene. some members on here sue them and swear by them. for me the falkens and toyos are mid range tyres, they do a damn good job, they are better than the stones in the wet, but there breakawy isn't as progressive. stones will out perform both those tyres on a good hot day. i've had stones on my last 3 cars, and also put toyos on several cars as well. stones have a great stong side wall, but they do tramline a bit and can be noisey, toyos tend to be softer and quiter, but offer better wet weather grip. toyos are progressive to a point but when they go its almost instant, where at least the bridgestones are more progressive. what you have to go for is what your happy with. if you like what you have, and it hasn't caused you any problem, then stick with it. only change if you feel you need to.

have worked out that when i do mine, i am going to sand the 3.5 and V6 bits off completely, and then re add them with a decal as a perfect match. that way i don't needto line it up, just reapply once painted. was thinknig about this for ages and then it hit me. far easier than trying to mask it all off.

no probs martin, i'm a master bodger, can fix anything with a bit of gaffa tape and bailer twine

i did find i was missing one part, which was the long bolt nut and washer that goes through the toeing eye socket and holds the long arm of the air scoop in place. so i've improvised and used a length of electrical wire. that puppy aint going no where. (i ahd no bolts or washers to hand )

not sur eon sound as it was late when i finished, and my wifes car was blocking me in the garage, so packed up and came on here, will find out tommorow morning. all i could tell while running the engine and checking for leaks was that when you lift off it does seem to make more of a suck noise. look forward to the drive to work

Finally got round to fitting my typhoon system took me around 3 hours (started at 7.30pm finished 10.30 pm) is that a new world record? it has gone from this to this i have stripped all the decals off and polished the main pipe, i also repainted the air box. must admit, it was one bitch of a job, i didn't know there were so many bolts on the splash tray of the car. and getting access or even a spanner on to some of the bots you have to remove is time consuming, especially the one that holds the plate down over the short plastic OEM air intake built into the bumper and the one that holds the maf cable to the engine block. but once in it looks good, but i have no intention of removing it for a long time yet. as i need to get over the scrapes up my arm hands and fingers.

Yes it has a special place in my heart (of my bottom)! Mind you local drivers in Manchester as always trying to get ahead of the trendies in the South have developed worse behaviour! I blame the credit crunch - muppets saving on usage of indicator and headlamp bulbs and not pressing the brake pedal for a red traffic light in an attempt to make their brake pads last longer! i hate driving in london

i tend to find there are 2 types of drivers men and women ... here me out as it has some logic to it before i get beat up for being sexist. there are 2 types of drivers male and female. male drivers tend to be more decisive, good spacial awareness, quicker on the pedal and have less accidents, but when they do have one it tends to be all or nothing, majority like to go in a blaze of glory. can be quite an aggressive driver female drivers tend to be more cautious, sometimes indecisisve, spacial awareness is not great, take 2-3 atempts to park, more sensible, but tend to have lots of little prangs due to lack of attention. ... just because i use the term male and female doesn't mean that the driving styles are unique to the sexes. for instance you can have a female with male driving tendancies and vice versa you can have a male with female driving tendencies. best example is my wife has a very male driving style, she can be quite aggressive, tailgate, and drives how a car should be driven (shes a crap passenger though) on the other hand, my younger brother has a very female driving style, he is cautious, slow and has hair brain moments when he seems to turn his brain off at the most in oportune moments, like confusing a layby for the exit of the slip road or heading up the slip road to stansted and not slowing for the roundabout as he seemed to have gone vacant and left the building. i'm not saying that there is a prefered style, but most fit the stereo type in some shape or form. and some like to flick between the 2

how did you do the carbon covering on that rear strut, the only ones i've seen are the ones with the cut out z already done and i heard they don't fit that well. did you ping the zed badge off (is that easy?) and then use a carbon vinyl cover over the original?
-
cheeky so you picking one up while your out there?

might have to get arron to bring them back for us next time he's over there

350 my arse if his is 350 bhp, mine can hit warp 3

thats not so bad, more affordable than the haltech, which starts at £900 and then add tuning time
-
i thought the Utec from turbo xs was just for the WRX its not as pricey as the haltech at $1049 just didn't know it was usable on the 350. is it as good as the haltech? i don't know

what a load of bolloxs, maybe we should pressure america for repararations after ahving to live with the stupidity. point 1. deaths caused by americans, there are the obvious ones the vietnam war, korea, iraq afganistan, south america, africa to name but a few. all situations where they put there nose in to places it should never have been and caused more problems due to there lack of understanding in global affairs. point 2.they may blame us for inventing the gun, but they buy and sell more than anyone in the world, making money from this invention so should they not help pay the costs. then take into account the amount of americans that die in there home country through gun crime. it is around 3,000 a year, as a comparison canada is next door, has the same gun laws, but only 300 people died. another glowing point of american stupidity. point 3. we may be blamed for global warming form industrialisation, but what about there nuclear bombs and all there testing, letting one of those puppies off must do at least 20 years of global warming damage in one go. and they tested loads of those. point 4. joining WWII late. if they had got off there arse earlier, it would have finished earlier saving thousands of lives. and no they didn't win it single handedly, it was a joint effort. we already know they cant win wars by them selves cough *vietnam* cough. point 5. NASA owe germany and the uk millions, as the majority of the ideas and technology come from europe. all those nazis they let off scott free and gave a big pay check to in exchange for furthering there rocket programme. if it wasn't for europe, NASA's space programme would still be flying kites in thunder storms. point 6. far east terrorism has increased 10 fold since the USA put its big size 11's in. have you noticed how all major attacks have been on american soil, the ones on uk soil are only because the yanks have draged us in because blair was to weak to say no (the big poof) if americans stayed inside there own borders the world would be a safer place. point 7. i'm just ranting now because that website was such a bucket of terd stories. but american cars kill loads of people, maybe the yanks should spend money on designing cars that actually go round corners and don't blow up on impact. loads of american capatilists have made millions on cars even when they know they should be recalled. and it shows now as american car sales were falling and european sales rising. don't forget the majority of early american settlers were religious extremists made up of quakers and mourmans who were thown out for there mental views. they went across the antlantic and wiped out loads of tribes with desease and guns. i can't be arsed to write anymore, but i'm fairly certain someone with a degree in american history could fill this up even more. it shouldn't take that long as there history only goes back 500 years, thats why there doing so much trying to make sure they have a decent history to look back on as most of it is screw ups through the ages. there like th international you've been framed country. ... sorry to any americans, i have no problems with individuals, the ones i've met have been very nice. but as a political giant it does iritate me somewhat.

HELP please. Broken engine belt has slashed hose
rtbiscuit replied to IanS16's topic in 350Z General
parts shouldn't be that expensive but the air con may need re gassing. actually i think that pipe is just a moisture hose, to remove liquid from the unit. all the refrigerant is passed around the copper pipes. -
lots of those answers sounds like they come from the ASDAN students especially as lots of answers seem to come from health and social care. i suppose you could refer to ASDAN students as the cream of the crop, but at the wrong end. i love working withthose kind of students, they are great fun to teach, and as you can see have some of the best repsonses to questions.
