i only have 1 years no claims and mine is £750 and i'm 27 with admiral
-
they are similar to the rays, but your car does look very good, beautiful example

Fancy a classic? (maybe this should be in jokes!)

more likely its his car, and he's trying to work out how to pay to fix again because its stuffed up again. my dad had one of these, he used to rally it back in the late 70's early 80's -
i think i have enough projects on the go at the moment, am going to have to step back, before i ovr stretch myself. if i do this then i'd want to fit a plenum spacer at the same time just because i had the plenum off, 2 birds 1 stone situation, just starts to get to pricey. maybe later in the year i'll re evaluate
-
i should learn to read better. its very tempting
-
if i sold my plenum to someone else how much would i get for it rought estimate. its an idea to fit yours and sell mine on for someoen else to get it polished up?
-
Thats come out really well, am glad you like it.

i know what you mean, but i like it, its the fact that it re styles the rear dramatically, got really frustrated recently when someone commented on how nice my car was. then when trying to remember what it was said ... its one of those audi TT things. i know she was complimenting it. but it really annoyed me and i want my car not to associated with an audi TT. not that i don't like the TT, i think the new TTS is very nice. but i think the ZED is a rarer car, and i don't like it when people think its a more common car like the TT. sorry if i have offended any previous TT owners as thats not what i'm trying to do.

i agree with alot of what has been said both by john howard and others on here. We have partly been our own worst enemy especially when it comes to political correctness. i heard a while back people in the civil service being told to only send cards at xmas that said seasonal greetings not merry xmas so as to avoid upsetting other religions. i know for a fact that the majority of other religions couldn't give a toss what we get up to and when. i enjoy the fact that we have many cultures. i have talked to friends during ede (not sure on spelling) have enjoyed the fireworks at my mates during the festival of light. enjoyed and shared different foods with friends who are muslim and hindu. (particualy enjoyed my mates creole cooking (mauritian muslim)) and i used to get pi**ed off with the norrow minded folk down my old local who were not educated enough to read more than one paper and build there own view, or have an understanding of current and global affairs current and past to make an opinion that wasn't taken from the mail or the sun. the old saying of "knowledge is power" is very true, as the "poorly educated in my opinion had no view of there own and followed a sensationalised media opinion that was poorly written and badly guided with statistics that aren't true. i was always brought up that you take what the media says with a pinch of salt. many poeple i spoke to believed that all muslims were terrorists. it may be that all terrorists are muslim, but many forget not all muslims are terorists. if i go to another country i would always respect there views and culture. i don't have to follow it, but should show the respect to not do things that would be frowned upon. and as said before if you don't like it go somewhere else. you don't go to a friends house and suddenly start making changes to how they do things because you don't like it, and i think the same respect should be shown to any country. and if your a visitor or guest and you break the law, you should be shown the door and kicked out.

i'm in a similar dilemma, i like the nismo v2 but from some angles i'm not sure. i can't work out if i leave it with the lip or go for the big wing, to go with the nismo kit. i don't mind the ings, i think i would need to see both in the flesh side by side to make a choice. if you went nismo, why not get rid of the burger and get the tommy K badge to put in place. which is what i'm going to do.

kitchen care... sooooooooo off topic it's unbelievable!
rtbiscuit replied to Stew's topic in Off Topic Discussion
depends what the material is, but all the gloss finish kitchens i've heard of can be a bitch to keep clean and apparently scratch really easy. same as granite can be an arse as well. there are advantages to cheaper laminate finishes. -
really hope that's right! Will check that this evening so! It's not brembo's do you know when the pads were last changed. you'll sometimes find as pads where out the piston that pushes the pad out and keeps it on the disc can bind in place. normallly its only an issue when you come to reset it and put new pads in because you'll need a new caliper. my guess is that the squeeze motion that puts the pad on the disc when you break isn't returning fully. make sure brake fluid levels are good as a lack of pressure may cause this. try and free them up witha lubricante, WD40 on a fine nozzle directed into the moving parts might do it. but it could require a dismantle and rebuild. but if pads are low change them at the same time and make it an all in one job. or even swap them over, i believe P17LT (think i got the name wrong(the one with the big mean green car ) wmight do brembo conversion kits or zmanalex is another person who might do a bremo conversion set. i think Zmanalex even has a store of old standard calipers etc so might be able to get a new one off him.
-
i didn't either, i payed for mine
-
you'll be lucky, i p/x my civic in in november and managed £10,000 and that was a 2007 with 19k on it.
-
my guess is a siezing caliper, fine on a cold start, as it warms up it starts to bind, doesn't retract properly after a few breaks and as you go round the corner the disk rubs against the pad. are they brembos or standard calipers fitted.

bit to much of a halfords glue car ram raid. nice try, but the car needs to be more suttle, the original shape is good, and these extras haven't complemented the car

So........ promised myself i wasn't........ but..........

i know lola cars, saw alot of there stuff last year at formula schools as i took a group of students to compete at it and lola was sponsoring the event. was good fun, and they have some nice stuff. would happily go and play in their workshops for days on end. -
i have the instructions for my kit i think in the boot of my car, as i fitted my grounding kit at the weekend. you can have them if you like as mine are all in place. if you come over at the weekend i'll even help you fit it if i'm free.
-
good price, but you can't get them for the rear tyres, so you'd be running odd tyres front and rear. i thought about them but gave up after i couldn't find them for the rear

depends on the dealer, some are good, most are hopeless. i won't touch glyn hopkins in ipswich there sales team put in enough hard work to put me off ever stepping foot through the doors again. so i'm not giving there service department the same opportunity to wind me up. i've found a good independent who work on race tuned cars etc, and know the zed well. so they get my business instead. i'm sure there are some good independents up your way, thats where most of them tend to be. its difficult finfing them down south, i have to go to the london outskirts for mine
