  1. Thanks again for more great suggestions. The impact sensor is an interesting one - I've had an aftermarket bumper fitted and it has been taken off and put back on a fair few times. i wonder if that could have upset something! Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the very detailed reply! Unfortunately I have had a Nissan mechanic (who does homers) reset the system with the proper Nissan diagnostics machine - and the error has come back after 250 miles. Interestingly it came on just after I drove over a bumpy cobblestone area. £40 for a second hand replacement unit is not bad at all!
  3. Hi all, Has anyone needed to get their drivers airbag module (in the steering wheel) replaced? Mine is throwing an error, initially thought it was the spiral cable but that has not fixed it. Just wondering if anyone knew off hand a rough cost. Thanks, J
  4. Holy old thread! Lol. Had the Milltek for a short while myself - way too quiet with standard cats. Quieter than OEM. Swapped for the Ark Grip and couldn't be happier.
  5. lol I remember when I was on PoF back in the day, so many girls has profiles saying that they wanted to be 'treated like princesses', bahahah, dead on, NEXT.
  6. I always thought if i was to go back to the dating scene again (I pray that never happens!) that I would go with speed dating. Get a couple of bevs in and it would be great bant.
  7. Have to agree with what the others have said here. A complete break of all contact is what you need to do. You're currently putting her on a pedestal and putting her first. Just look after number 1 and you'll be much happier much quicker. You visiting to make her son happy is only making her life easier while making yours harder. Screw that, she can deal with the full fallout of her decision.
  8. Hi guys, Did your rust stay away after your got this work done?
  9. Hi, I'm sorry to hear about the issues you had with the courtesy vehicle. Normally I believe these vehicles are generally covered by the supplying garage. Was there any reason they wouldn't cover the vehicle for you? Regards, Dan. Hi Dan, Thanks for the response. They seemed to think it was normal for customers' insurance to cover the courtesy car. Perhaps it's just a N. Ireland thing!
  10. Have to say they've given me fairly decent quotes, and I am currently with them. My only complaint is that I was once getting some paintwork done, and the bodyshop offered me a courtesy car for free. Adrian Flux were going to charge me some absolutely extortionate rate to insure the courtesy car as they said I was essentially taking out a temporary insurance policy. Absolutely crazy and put me off recommending to anyone else.
  11. The weird things you find when digging around a car! When I had a Celica I found a bunch of little white rocks in the toolkit .... Also had purple glitter and specks of glass in buried deep within the back seats lol. Could never get that out. God knows.
  12. First few times about 25 but now I go over at about 5mph but it is annoying. 25mph! Flip, my Z would die if I tried that. They're low cars, even when stock. Just part of ownership!
  13. Lol mine is called Norm (the Nissan). Helps me not be too mad at it when something breaks.
  14. Flip, that car jacking attempt sounds crazy. Be safe in the Z - I'm sure it will draw a lot of attention.
  15. Did any of you struggle when first starting to squat? I can deadlift, OHP, etc., but squats just feel so unnatural! If I try to focus on hamstrings rather than quads it feels like I'm going to fall backwards. And because I seem to be doing them in a 'quad dominant' way, one of my knees is killing me, even with light weights . Really demotivating!
  16. Hi all, Would you mind running your ear over this video of my Z and let me know if this is normal, or if it is a gearbox issue or perhaps just plastics rattling from vibration? Basically the higher pitch rattle seems to come from around the gearstick, and happens from 5k rpm to redline. Its a 2005 Z. Thanks so much as always guys.
  17. Hi all, Hope you all had a great Christmas break. I have an area of bubbling on my rear driver side arch, not far from the fuel flap. It has been slowly getting worse, and originally I wasn't really concerned as I thought it would be a simple matter of getting a small area cut out, patched up and painted. Now that I have read into it, I see that the rear arches on the Z have two layers, and therefore once rust sets in, repairs may only last a few months before rust shows up again. Has anyone successfully repaired rust spots on their rear arches, and had the rust stay away permanently? If so, what method was used? I do love this car but don't fancy starting a losing battle with rust if any fixes are only temporary! Would love to hear your experiences. Thanks!
  18. Aaaand you've just reminded me to check how manky mine is lol.
  19. Pfffft, didn't even give him a new W brace. jk . That red is absolutely stunning.
  20. Love: 1. The sound of the Ark Grip exhaust bouncing off walls next to you 2. Random exhaust pops when coming off the accelerator <3 3. The aggressive look of the car 4. The fact that the car is over 11 years old, relatively cheap to buy, and still turns heads. 5. The seating position. Hate: 1. The clutch - feels like it is made out of sponge. 2. That nervous feeling every time a clank / rattle / smell appears, wondering how many hundreds its going to cost. **** 3. That flashing airbag light. Tried all the usual fixes. It's gonna cost me a fortune I'm sure. 4. The fact that it is quite old meaning that expensive things are needing replaced fairly often. 5. The attention. Whilst it does it a lot of positive attention (which is nice), it does get a lot of jealousy too. Would sometimes be nice to just blend in and not care at all where I park it. Bonus hate: My warped brake discs are starting to **** me off. Spose I might need to just get some nice slotted ones . **** Story time: I went over a speedbump leading into my apartment a few weeks ago. When I came down over the other side of it, there was a massive bang. Sounded like my exhaust had somehow smashed off the ground really badly, or my suspension had just died. Turns out it was actually a bottle of prossecco that had blasted off its cork and sprayed half the car. Good times lol.
  21. That actually looks really good! I wonder is it real or a photoshop?
  22. Hi Kyle, Argh I have literally only just seen this! Thanks very much for the offer. All sorted now though - got the Eibach bolt kit fitted and we are now all back in line. Thanks again.
