  1. Just got my insurance renewal quote this evening. Absolutely burst out laughing. £150 increase for being a loyal customer and having no claims and living in a very low crime area. Also told in my letter that the money will be taken from my debit card a 'few days' before renewal. Genuinely have not laughed so hard in ages. So now I'm expected to do this typical stupid song and dance where I call another rival company, they give me a great quote, and then you offer to match it, and the only reason I stay is because I can't be bothered filling out the new insurer's forms. How about you show some respect to loyal customers and don't try to take the absolute mick out of them? Not sure if I can be bothered with the hassle of doing the dance with Flux this year. May just go elsewhere.
  2. Oh jesus . Aye I remember mine was quite costly to replace when all the additional parts were put on top of the brace. At least it's sorted now and you'll never need to do it again. Good job Adrian is sorting MDMetal out with a discount.
  3. Not sure if he is referring to the brackets that are needed to fit it maybe? They are as expensive as the brace.
  4. You might also need the brackets to mount them.
  5. Looks fantastic! Are you enjoying it? Will have mine installed very soon .
  6. I had seen the Kenwood but preferred the form factor of the Sony. Note that you can get all your DAB through android auto. Glad you're both happy with your head units!
  7. As Colin has kindly updated you.. it needs an adaptor to fit. I'll get the car around Tuesday or so. I've had a play with the head unit and it seems very high quality. It gets great reviews all around. I'm sure you'll be very happy.
  8. Mine is being fitted on Monday. Will let you know how it goes.
  9. Mine just arrived today! Fitting next week. This won't be helpful to you though as I never use the steering controls either way.
  10. Just out of interest, why do you prefer turbo over a big NA? My only experience with a turbo is with small engine cars, and I found I really missed the oomph in low rpm, maybe its much different with performance cars?
  11. Mine were seized when changing and therefore required new bushes also.
  12. Oh, meant to say, the brake vibration could be easily fixed hopefully. You can re-bed the brakes by accelerating to 60 then braking hard (without abs kicking in) to 20, 10 times. Note that your brakes will barely function by the end of that for a short while. Dont hold the brake on after that, just cruise about for a bit.
  13. Beautiful example. Love a nismo v1 kit. Good luck with the sale.
  14. Ordered a big service pack and some other bits from H Dev. Have to say their service was second to none. They followed up on some queries/requests straight away on the phone, and everything arrived very promptly. Had to laugh at you apologising on the phone for the pronunciation of Fuchs Oil bahhahah.
  15. Absolutely fantastic idea. Can't wait to see this happen.
  16. Do you guys ever get a week where you're much weaker than usual? This whole week ive just been exhausted. Sleeping loads, always feeling a little bit nauseous, craving junk food. My lifts are so bad this week that there just seems like there's no point in going. After any exertion I feel like I'm going to throw up. I dont think its over training - I felt amazing the week before... Do I just push on with reduced weight? Or completely stop until I feel back to normal?
  17. Sorry for your pain, but made a great story!
  18. Hi Colin, That looks like any other Z at that age - it's all surface rust. I would recommend undersealing it. Wax oil under seal has rust inhibitors. The brace bar needs replaced as it is rotten.
  19. Those rear lights... jesus wept.........
  20. I gave this a go last night as I have the same issue. Problem is that you need to do it late at night when the roads are empty - my exhaust was making an absolute racket lol, which usually I'm a fan of but I'm sure it had people wondering wtf was going on, and I saw 3 police cars around the same time. Need to find a better spot!
  21. Best result if that is the case! A good free fix is always nice.
  22. You could try doing the procedure which involves braking from 60 -> 20 hard, 8-10 times in quick succession. People have had a lot of success with that. I'm due to try that but need to find a good stretch of road to do it on!
