  1. When there's an underground car park there's no helping it! This is with stock cats and stock intake.
  2. I put together this intentionally short video to show how to fix a common problem with the 350z - limited washer flow. As others have said, this is due to the non-return valve, and costs about £1.50 and 30 seconds of your time to fix. Note this will only work if you can actually hear your washer pump working. Hope it helps!
  3. Wait a minute.. the white bit IS the non-return valve. Bahahaha. Please lock the post!
  4. Hi all, I'm having the common problem of dribbly windscreen washers. I've looked through the forum and see that it's commonly the non-return valve that is the problem. I've had a look at the rough location (see pic), and disconnected the bit where the black pipe reaches the y-pipe. Water comes out with good force from the black pipe when doing this, then when reconnecting, there is good power in the washers for about a second before it starts to dribble again. Could anyone tell me where the non-return valve is from this location? Is it further along the Y pipe direction to the right or left, or is it along the black pipe? I had a good look around it last night and couldn't seem to find it. Thanks in advance!
  5. Some mad stuff there. Couldn't help but lol at the ones trying to stab truck tyres. Surely that first one wasn't an exploding tyre?!
  6. Jesus wept. Ive just been staring at this thread screwing my face up while shouting 'wha...?!' Over and over with each post. I thought the title said 'four' seats.... Not frost...
  7. I was in Slovenia a few years ago. What an absolutely beautiful place. Lake Bled and Ljubljana were both phenomenal.
  8. Uploading now. Haven't watched your vid but there's a fair bit of movement in mine before you feel any resistance.
  9. Good question lol. I'll record a video of mine in a minute for you.
  10. Just had my diff oil changed a few days ago. Probably too early to tell if there were any negative effects but everything seems great so far.
  11. The time I owned my Z and my old Celica!
  12. hmmmm not sure that's normal at idle bud Uh oh! Hahah. Even the occasional random pop ? Oh dear. Something I'll worry about another day.

  14. Whilst your idle is low, I get the occasional pop when idling too - I think that is normal.
  15. You'll absolutely love Japan. We went there about 7 years ago for my brother's wedding. He taught English over there and then met his wife. Unlike most of Europe, or even the states, it's the sort of place that no matter where you look, you always know you're on the other side of the world. The food was fantastic, and everything was so photogenic. We really REALLY benefited from having a Japanese speaker with us though. I'm not sure how well we would have coped without. Though it perhaps depends where abouts in Japan you go. We were on the outskirts of Osaka.
  16. The glimpses of good weather the last few days has got me excited about summer! Does anyone have any trips away lined up? My gf is treating me to a long weekend in Dubrovnik, Croatia in June. I've been to Prague before and loved it, and apparently this place is quite similar.
  17. To bring things slightly back on topic, can I just say how beautiful Payco's Z was (is?), and how Payco was the man who inspired me to get an Ark Grip. The gentleman even recorded a few sound clips of it for me as I was struggling to decide between it and the invidia gemini. For that, Payco forever has a place in my heart.
  18. would really really recommend parkrun. Even if you're not in to running. They're organised runs all over the UK. Every sat at 9.30am. There's an amazing community at them and no shortage of good looking women!! Always tea and coffee afterwards which is a great opp to chat.
  19. Can't think of a better man to buy a car from, I'm sure it has only had the best treatment. Good luck with the sale.
  20. Definitely will be my go-to guy from now on I think, only issue is he can be quite difficult to get a hold of - long waiting list!
  21. Sounds like cash in hand, so not unreasonable. Yes cash in hand! He had it for quite a few evenings so I don't think he rushed the job. Fingers crossed! He gave me a really detailed overview of everything he found with the airbag issue too.
  22. Thats certainly cheap, especially with the spark plugs because they could take a bit of time on their own if you haven't done them a number of times before. Where was this? He works for Nissan but does evening jobs. Really knowledgeable guy that seems to know the cars inside and out. He has told me things about the Z I have never heard anywhere else. One example is he mentioned there can be water in the bottom of the fuse box. Right enough, opens mine up, water.
  23. Thanks for the responses, I got charged £250 for all that, so I'm definitely happy to see it's not above what you guys would expect!
