  1. The alloys have now been sold. If anyone wants the springs and ARBs, they can have them for free if they can pick them up from Orpington at the weekend. I'll bin them if they're still here in a couple of weeks.
  2. I used to know them as manifolds, but it seems like everyone calls them headers now. I guess times have changed
  3. That's correct regarding the plenum spacer. Nissan fixed that with the HR I think the thing with headers is that they're a ball ache to fit, like coldel said. You will see a power gain from what I've read (and it'll change / improve the sound). Only you can decide if it's worth the cash - lots of people would say any modification is a waste of money

  5. I was thinking about posting similar about mine actually. It makes a kind of ticking noise, sounds like it's coming from the dash, only at around 4k revs and disappears after about 20 minutes of driving. Be interesting to see what you find (I need to have a proper dig around my engine bay too).

  7. Steve's choices get my vote. The MX-5 sounds like what I might choose for a track car if I had the cash for one, and I've always liked the E92 beemers. I could never live with a 996 911 - they just made such a mess of a fundamentally decent shape, I'd cringe every time I looked at it

  10. 1. I would have to say Gal. Gal is my no.1 virtual girlfriend and knocked Keira from the top spot. Never thought it would happen but poor old Keira has been relegated. You are off course my no.1 real life girlfriend 2. Yellow. 3. I would love to but I have invested so much money in my Teg now that I would be crazy to change it at this stage. I was going to do this years track days and then seriously change it next year for a Zed but now I have spent another £3k on brakes (same as Ferrari F40 and R35 GTR ) as well as all the other bits, not sure I should. If I write it off at Spa and somehow survive, then the Zed will be the replacement. Trust me, it is so hard to not just go and buy one and I totally adore yours. If you ever sold it, I would buy it. 4. Next week I hope. You know I'm always free to take you out, just say when and its a date. My shout and anywhere you want.   11. No no just one of those crazy thoughts. There's quite a few 350s round Aberdeen so started to think but I've now had my realisation of how stupid it seems to get rid of her so I'll be keeping her and continuing to make her more awesome Phew, you've seen sense. Panic over!

No they dont, hence 5th gear is resigned to some lowly sat channel, car people (us lot mainly) are as boring as f**k, you have obviously never sat at a table of Porsche owners banging on about diff/traction settings etc I have to agree with this. I haven't found one person yet who's interested in hearing about the benefits of my new 380RS accelerator pedal
  15. I know it's subjective, but for me the 350 is far and away the better looking car. Now admittedly I've never driven a 370, but on paper it doesn't appeal to me either, even discounting the looks thing. Plenty of upgrades to do to my zed (which is far more fun and rewarding than just buying another car IMO), and it's already plenty fast enough in both a straight line and round corners.
  16. Well personally I haven't watched TG for years - hardly any of the episodes in the previous format (with May and Hammond), because, let's be honest, they were rubbish. The sort of rubbish that lots of people find entertaining, but very little genuinely interesting car-related stuff. I probably still won't watch it now because I can't really be arsed, and I can get proper car stuff on YT (although I guess not Chris Harris any more!), but if I was going to watch it, it would be because they have good drivers who can articulate their thoughts about a car well. Boring, I know

  19. Well, as per the first part of my post, I doubt Ferrari care as long as people hand over their cash.
  20. To be fair, the only pointless design for a company is one that doesn't make them any money. Don't get me wrong, I would rather that companies stuck to their roots (same thing with Porsche and the Cayenne), but I think the industry has moved on.

By the same token then I hope that insurance companies would not load premiums for those who have done a SAC to the same extent as those who just take the points as you would hope (back to my pigs and sky thought) that doing a course at least shows a preparedness to 'learn'. Having said that I expect those insurance companies who want to know simply look at the fact you got caught so.......PAY US MORE MONEY! Cynic in me says I expect they just apply a rule that attendance carried out was simply to avoid points being issued so don't expect any leniency with your new premium....... Let's be honest here, no one actually attends these courses to learn about speed
