Profile is a percentage of width, yes... I'm not sure at what point the TC throws a wobbler, but 295/30 is closer in diameter to 255/35 than 295/35 is (295/30 is a 0.23% difference in diameter to 255/35), so I guess it would make sense. They'll be 19s in the OP anyway. 35 profile on an 18" rim would be a tiny diameter.

Well, I got tramlining on the stock 225/45 245/45, and I still get it now on 255/35 285/35. I haven't decided if it's worse or not yet, but so far it hasn't done anything truly alarming. It would be down to front tyre size anyway, yes. Regarding the exhaust, I think the quad pipes look pretty good, although I don't think I'd go for it (which is a bonus IMO, because it would be boring if we all did the same stuff).
-
Just to clarify, I can't see how the ride would suffer - surely bigger tyres = better ride. I can agree that it could potentially introduce too much understeer or make the rear of the car feel very 'dead', but that's dependent on a lot of other things.
-
In what way do you think ride and handling will suffer?

*** TORQEN *** 350z Nismo 380RS Acceleration pedal
BobbyZ replied to Adrian@TORQEN's topic in TORQEN
Cool, so if I order on the website today, when should I expect delivery? -
I agree about the RX-7 - great looking shape. The NSX as standard wasn't bad, but looked a touch tame. The best looking Japanese cars for me off the top of my head have been Supra MkIV, RX-7, R32 Skyline (in a brutal and functional way, rather than being beautiful) and 350z (of course!). Re Rocket Bunny, I would say that although they all follow the same format, the actual shape of the kits is adapted very well to complement the car.

Are these in stock Adrian? -
I generally like the look of wide kits, as long as they're well designed and executed (Rocket Bunny being a good example, even if they are super lairy). Every Veilside kit I've ever seen though looks like it was designed by someone that hadn't seen the car it's intended for.

Really? That's the first time I've heard that.

Yeah, quotas are crazy - it's nothing more than using racism to try to counter racism. I accept that there's no perfect solution, but I can't believe that quotas are the best way.
-
Did you come up with this on your own or read it on a t-shirt? Great attitude Something can't be made perfect, so it's pointless to try and improve it. If everyone thought like that we'd all still be living in caves, eating raw meat with a life expectancy of 23 The problem though is that complaining about trivial things which may or may not be true as if they really matter doesn't help the people that really need help. If anything, it makes people turn away from the real issues (boy who cried wolf syndrome, if you like). I'm sure if Pinkett Smith chose to use her status to highlight the plight of people that are truly oppressed, there would be far fewer dissenters.

Most of what's posted in this thread is controversial. My post was only particularly controversial if you didn't pick up that it was sarcastic. Thanks for the helpful smiley advice though I think this was the ops (and others) point SS, where is the evidence there is clear and defined racism in the Oscar choices by means of the board? It was two prominent black actors having a pop. America have a black president ffs and STILL people seem to want to find places where things arent equal. As much as your points are valid, the world is not an equal place, it never has been and never will be. Ask Jada what she would prefer to be, a incredibly wealthy black woman or some white us female citizen living in a trailer park and what do you think the answer would be....and then where is the equality in that? Some people just want the moon on a stick This is the gist of what I would have typed if I wasn't a sarcastic tw@t. It is true that there is inequality in the world, no doubt. The kind that stops people from having a meaningful life is genuinely stupid, and I would like nothing more than for it to end (although that isn't possible, because there will always be stupid people in the world). I doubt that racism is the reason behind black actors not getting Oscar-worthy roles and the resultant nominations, but if it is then to be honest they can cry me a river from their multi-million dollar estates. There are bigger fish to fry. I hope that cleared up my thoughts on the matter

You might want to turn on the old sarcasm detector

I wouldn't say that - lots of things get made into sexism issues also. At the end of the day though, it's hardly fair that white males get everything handed to them on a plate for F all work, whilst everyone else slaves (deliberate use of 'provocative given the context' word ) away for little to no recognition. I'm half Asian, so was oh-so-close to being in that privileged group. Hey ho, next life maybe... Oh, and if there isn't a half Asian, half white male on the panel at the next Oscars (not to mention nominated for an award), I'm writing a strongly-worded letter.

The APR does look nicer also. Is it worth the extra cash? Only you can answer that

I can't believe I bothered to read all this crap and no one's got banned or anything. Dan, I'll take one of those free dyno runs if they're still going
-
Bad driver they may be, but I'm not sure you should be referring to them by their colour!
-
Not sure I would want to die just to sell some records! Pfft... no dedication to the cause.
-
Bear in mind that liking the music is far from the only reason people buy music, whether the artist is dead or alive. Dying is a good (and free!) way to get your name in the spotlight.

Not sure that's genuine... I know the trains are quick, but they're not THAT quick

Thank you too Mr. Pilot. I've gone with the Hosetechniks anyway. I'm sure the HELs are fine, but the difference in cash isn't a deal breaker and I don't want to find out that the HELs are in fact dodgy by driving it through a wall, or worse.
-
Cheers mate. I'd read one or two things about the HELs having a bad rep around here, but couldn't actually find what had happened. For sure if there is a question mark over their reliability, I'll pay the extra.
-
Evening guys, just a quick question. I'm upgrading to braided lines soon, and was wondering if there's any difference between the brands. I'm seeing the Goodridge and Hosetechnik at £150, and the HEL ones at about half that. Is there any difference? I don't mind paying the extra, but only if I'm actually getting a better product. Thanks in advance.

Was this originally going to be a NA build? I can't see where you said what the planned spec was, and most of the pictures have died for me.
