  1. It's aluminium. A quick google of '350z aluminium bonnet' gave a few results, many from this forum
  2. Long story short - buy a Nissan instead EDIT: Sorry, not trying to sound like a dick, just a joke. Nice motor
  3. For me as a new owner, my priorities are lighter wheels (currently have the GT4s which look good but are heavy), coilovers and some minor brake mods. Everyone has different priorities though, and it's a great car as standard IMO. Don't know about weak clutches, but for in that respect I'd never buy a car which had dodgy feeling transmission.
  4. Sounds like a pretty poor deal when you put it like that!
  5. Doesn't it just I've always loved the 350 shape, and for me this is the best spec. Just a few choice mods and she'll be there
  6. Thanks mate Yeah I saw the 19s that went up for a grand or so... was thiiiiis close to going for them No rush though, I'm happy to wait for the right ones
  7. Just thought I'd update this quickly - I haven't done anything that warrants a build log, but have added a stubby and cargo net. Also picked up some great detailing tips here . Amazed actually that she looks so shiny in this pic - sadly not quite so great close up in real life as I haven't washed her in a couple of weeks... Planned mods having owned the z a little while are coilovers, braided brake hoses and lighter wheels - hopefully LMGT4s if I can find the right ones (don't want to use spacers hopefully). Still feel I absolutely made the right choice of car Looking forward to the Woodman meet in a week!
  8. Here's a stupid question - what are the rear adjustment extenders for?
  9. Welcome, and damn you for putting 'The Right Stuff' by NKOTB in my head
  10. Lovely pics what spacers / wheels / suspension have you got? The stance looks great!
  11. Didn't realise wraps were so expensive. To me they seem like a strictly temporary solution, as I can't imagine it's easy to sell a wrapped car (I know I wouldn't). Edit: wouldn't want to buy one!
  12. Couldn't find it in Halfords the other day on my shopping list though. I tried a clay bar the other week for the first time after reading this forum, with less than stellar results
  13. One thing which puts me off a bit is I think they need quite regular maintenance... anyone able to confirm, and does anyone have experience of the alternatives? The cusco for example, which is more expensive, but for lower maintenace I'd certainly consider it.
  14. Well I'm swaying more towards a diff and ARBs if / when I get my arse in gear and start with some upgrades, from originally thinking about springs and spacers. Decided I like how the z looks as standard
  15. Yes they will fit all models Thanks mate
  16. Quick (noob) question - are these compatible with an HR? I don't know if there's any difference, but the listings I've seen seem to specify the DE model. Thanks
  17. Thanks guys, appreciate the comments and warm welcome
  18. Evening all, So, after years of thinking that the 350z was the car for me, I've got one! Picked this beauty up a week ago, and so far the best way to describe my feelings are that I'm in love! Nice and comfortable for cruising, great balance of power across the rev range, good honest RWD handling, and I smile like an idiot every time I see her on my drive. In short, everything I'd hoped for! I'm based in Orpington, so if you see me give me a wave! AFAIK the car is standard - not planning any serious mods to start with, but am looking to get a stubby antenna and cargo net to stop my groceries from taking flight in the boot. Also looking to get the wheels refurbished as there's some minor damage and corrosion, and get the suspension aligned to check that everything's in order. On my 'possible' list are the Tein S springs and 20ishmm spacers, and maybe a couple of mods to the induction / exhaust and a remap, but not until next year for sure. Bob
