  1. Nice HR in dark blue with cream leather and gorgeous wheels at Horsham Developments today. 08 plate.
  2. EVO motors in Wiltshire. Speak to Mark.
  3. Most people buy a complete arm with bushes in place. Best to get genuine parts but try to avoid nissan dealer prices. Some have the old bushes pressed out and uprated polybush replacements. Try independent traders on this site. Also replace the little rubber cone bushes when doing the bannana arms. I paid around 230 each from a trader on here which compared to the 300 plus nissan wanted was a bargain.
  4. A shaker platform rarely diagnoses a compression arm bush fail (bannana bar). I've had this with mine and since replacing them it's gone. Both had zero movement when inspected before replacement and even passed an MOT. The other option is drop links but they are normally easier to diagnose.
  5. Where are you based there is a trader in Wiltshire who gets a few sub 80k milers in.
  6. I've just replaced my cats but they only rattled on idle. Both were shot.I also found the rear heat shield loose but a washer sorted that out.
  7. Don't get me started on the NSX lol. If I wanted to buy that back it would cost me 9k more than I sold it for 9 years ago.
  8. I think we've all owned cars that 20 years on are worth a mint. My two of note were a Mk1 gti campaign and a Cossie Sierra, if only I had kept those lol.
  9. That's what I thought. That was the plan with my mint FRP but my patience ran out. I think I might get it and make a profit on it after using it as a winter hack this year. I'm getting it for a song due to a bereavement and the owners family wanting it gone. It's on 55k miles with a full service history. I could make a grand profit on it. The last VAG car I acquired was a mint lupo gti 6 speed with leather part exed by the previous owner when he bought my FRP. He was 1500 short and offered it to me in part ex. I made 1500 profit on that little beauty selling it for 3000. I'm a bit of a wheeler dealer anyway They want 4.5k for the TT and having looked at current values I'm going to take a punt on it.
  10. I've been offered a run out model Mk1 TT quattro sport with reasonable mileage on a 55 plate. Now I've always been a fan of the original TT design but never bought one as I felt the driving experience was under par. I've always had a second car tucked away in the garage until recently selling my FRP and was just wondering what everyone's opinions are on these as appreciating future assets? It's nicely appointed and won't be a replacement for my Z just an investment. It's a nice blue one with black roof and bucket seats all in good order. Some of my more knowledgeable VAG mates say it's a good investment as they sold in limited numbers (800 in UK I think). Opinions welcome
  11. Nice car my line manger has one. I also like the smaller XF. Jaguars are bang on the money these days and I've considered buying one on many occasions.
  12. Good work there but personally I prefer the new system and a nice clean windscreen.
  13. That's probably the runts of the collection, the decent cars are in a nice air conditioned lock up somewhere
  14. Excellent write up there. I'm going to wait for the oil to run out first though
  15. I will find out who it is though as we use the same garage, that's how I heard about it. The chap has recently bought it from elsewhere in the country.
  16. I didn't even know there was a boosted Z in my area. I wouldn't mind seeing your car for inspiration
  17. I recently had to replace the two rear tyres after puncturing them both at the same time. It was running on Avon ZZ3 which to be fair were good tyres. However the only tyres I could get short notice were Bridgestone RE050 A. So far they have been ok if a little noisier but that's due to a stiffer side wall. Michelin pilot series tyres have always been my preferred choice on other cars as they combine good wet grip and are quieter overall. I've also run Eagle F1s and Conti contact sports on previous BMWS which were also great tyres.
  18. Azure blue coupe with dark grey Rays. Look out for it.
  19. Apparently this guy picked it up this week. Do you know Autobarn?
  20. I like a 370 in black or white they have grown on me.Both the 50 and 70 are great cars.
