  1. I still get the urge to ride again from time to time until the flashback kicks in and I agree with you Jetpilot they were good days. 15 of us did a euro tour one year, two months of some of the best roads and scenery coupled with good company camping and lots of beer:) Probably the best care free holiday I've ever had.
  2. Well the fastest bike I ever owned was a 900 fireblade back in the 90s. The bike that nearly killed me was a lowly zxr750. Three months after my accident I was still in a wheelchair. I should have got back on them as soon as I could but left it to long, I don't want that sort of pain again tbh my Z is plenty fast enough thanks
  3. A7TAK without a doubt.
  4. When changing wiper arms I always use masking tape along the windscreen just above the blades. This way when I replace the arms I know exactly where the arms need to be positioned when refitting.
  5. I did get the cel light back on the other day though. Rear o2 sensor bank 2. However this one was post the previous bad cat so it's probably buggered.
  6. Wider track may increase the tramlining effect off camber with road imperfections etc may pull either way to be fair. 15 and 20 set up shouldn't be to much of an issue. Probably better answered by someone who has the same set up tbh.
  7. Well I bought a Z because of the way it felt to drive not its outright pace.My M3 was quicker on paper but didn't feel it and to be fair I would rather have a car that handles well on the road and makes it fun on a track. As for the civic type r I loved mine but I learned my lesson on the road many years ago when I received a months ban for 94 in a 60! As previous posters have said it's all relative and paper stats on our roads mean bugger all. I also own a base spec Merc Citan van (kangoo) and that will also hustle along quite nicely with only 110bhp lol.
  8. I bet that causes tongues to wag on the estate Very nice.
  9. I would choose anything other than the utilitarian dull as dishwater soulless corporate faced same old crap uber express from Inglostat.
  10. I'm in Basingstoke now but still up for a meet at some point.
  11. Have you checked the bonnet and door switches, boot contacts etc
  12. Yeah I have a habit of buying cars in need of tlc. Spending a fortune on new OEM parts and selling them for more but still making a small loss overall lol.
  13. I had a Sinclair C5 once, does that count
  14. Lol a lot more than a tenner to be fair. £60 each side from Nissan
  15. I just went a bought new arms . The old ones came of really easy too. They have a plastic washer type arrangement that moulds to the splines and avoids the issue of seizing in place like most other cars.
  16. Happy to report no hesitation issues mated to the miltek system. I still think it's cars fitted with Y pipes it affects more. There is a tangible improvement in the way it revs now, doesn't feel stodgy anymore. Sounds a little more raspy too.Me likey
  17. Nothing wrong with the advancement of technology. Harmonising EV with an ever improving solar tech industry will result I'm sure in a vehicle that uses less mains power overall. I'm currently keeping tabs on the solar plane adventure taking place. Yes the tech probably has decades to go before becoming mainstream but it will happen. In the interim we see more small blown petrol hybrid crossovers and I imagine diesels becoming less popular due to emissions regs. I think it's great to finally see EV taking shape in vehicles people can buy. The tech is also there to emulate any audible sound a petrol car makes, my point being that EV could eventually sound and drive the same way. To me a car is a visceral experience combining all of the senses in unison. To lose any one of these lessens the enjoyment for an enthusiast. This doesn't apply to Mr A to B in general who sees a car as a tool to do a job. As soon as EV begins to emulate the characteristics or improve on the sensual experience of the driver they will have cracked it.
  18. I only knew the answer to this because my bank 2 cat is faulty and it's on the passenger side
  19. Heading towards Theale A4 a wide bodied low big winged stealth mobile.Looked really good.
  20. Currently on 80k miles with some bearing chatter in neutral with the clutch released. Slightly notchy into second gear but it still bites ok.
