Every year I receive a new quote slightly higher than the year before. My ritual is the same every time, a quick check of a comparison site to ascertain the cheapest quote. Then a call to my current insurer asking why after another claim free year I'm being charged more. I then ask to speak to a line manger where I rant on about loyalty and customer retention etc. After ten minutes or so I finally end up with a cheaper quote than seen online. Job done.
