  1. Hijacking this thread somewhat. So it's not a straight swap because of the arch liners and washers. I assume the mounting points for the bumper are the same though? What about the grill aperture, can a face lifted grill be attached to a pre face bumper or is it a different shape etc?
  2. Damn I would have snapped these up.
  3. I use the megs to start and autosol to finish a job.
  4. Ironically I've not yet had any issues in 6 months of Z ownership. Like my keeping up with the joneses audi driving image conscious sister says "It's just a Nissan". My M3 and many years ago a CTR were the worst for attracting negativity.
  5. Best thing to do is take it somewhere where they can dye test it.
  6. Ahh ok a little to far for me to travel. No worries mate and thanks for replying.
  7. Result for the gooners and great news for Liverpool and Southampton too.
  8. Lol I went the other way german to jap. 335 is a good car.
  9. It was the replacement drop links they were faulty. New set sorted the noise. New pads sorted the knock.
  10. We did the same, always had newer cars on loans but when looking at house buying they went. I ran a 98 focus for 12 months and the missus had a primera Once we had established ourselves in the new house and refurbished what we needed to our policy on cars changed a little. I now buy outright the cars I lusted after 10 years ago rather than financing or getting loans. The missus does the same. I may one day go out and buy a newer car again but I'm quite enjoying the debt free life.
  11. Another thank you for today. No more knocks, see you soon for the HFCs.
  12. Just a quick thanks for the prompt delivery of my bonnet struts and badges. They arrived at 2 this afternoon in good order and are now on the car. Top service.
  13. I've driven one of these although it was a 2005 model. Great car but the throttle was literally a hair trigger job. Great motorway cruisers but be careful on the b roads
  14. My rear diff whined a little and quietened down noticeably once the fluid was changed. I also had a high pitched whine when the car was cold but again since changing the oils in the engine and gearbox it's been fine.
  15. The only thing I can do is replace the pads and fit shims. Plus a new set of links to rule that out. Brakes function ok and all the other bushes including arb's are sound. The noise is only evident at low speed and my head is saying drop links.
  16. So, all that's left to replace now are the front pads and a new set of drop links. Now the thing is this,I'm still getting a low speed rattle over rough ground emanating from both sides of the car. I've had the compression/banana arms plus cones done and to be fair there is no movement in the drop links but they are being replaced next week. The only thing that's loose is the pads as no shims are present. My question is, has anyone experienced pads knocking before? I know they clunk slightly when coming to a standstill after reversing which highlighted the missing shims in the first place but is it possible they can rattle at low speed? I've ruled out the ARB bushes so drop links aside the pads are the only thing left to do.
  17. Mine follows the camber of the road occasionally but otherwise it's normal. When my n/s lower arm bush was knackered it pulled harder to the left. All good now though.
  18. Exhaust leak more than likely.
  19. The members on here are fairly normal compared to the last club/forum I regularly frequented. I have attended one meet so far and plan to do a few more this year if work allows.
  20. Not as stupid as the DE dipstick... Haha agreed my other pet hate is checking the oil on my DE.
