  1. Killing an ideology however twisted is a fruitless task. Stopping the disillusioned from becoming radicalised is also very difficult in this age of global communication. However over time things will improve but the unknown is always just around the corner. Our intelligence services do a sterling job and it would probably surprise you just how many possible incidents are avoided. With a net so wide it's inevitable someone's going to slip through from time to time. The global response to such incidents proves there is no tolerance for such dispicable acts of murder.
  2. Yeah BC for me too. Just need to fit them
  3. I still rate Live and Let Die as the definitive Bond movie. Sod Connery he was before my time . Exotic locations and Jane Seymour perfect.
  4. Certainly caught my attention, looked nice. What suspension are you running on it?
  5. Oooooo I like the look of that black S. I think a refurbish on your existing rims in a nice shadow chrome finish.
  6. Wheels were nice and shiny mate
  7. I personally think younger voters will turn out in higher numbers this time round. We shall see.
  8. Seeing as statistics show only 50% of 18-24 year olds actually exercise their vote, i doubt the Tories care to be honest, if you want to see cracks in armour, take a look at Diane Abbott, utterly hopeless individual and if thats what Labour is fielding to answer questions, well i dont believe even the hardened Labour supporter would have faith in that! Indeed, if you look back further in this thread I was the first one to post on the Dianne Abbot police budget fiasco
  9. It would appear that outside of the media propaganda ring there is an undercurrent of labour support building. I'm now of the view that although the Tories will still win, the majority may not be as high as we all think. This is obviously just my opinion based on observations on social media and the like. I suppose the bottom line is there are plenty of people out there who like the labour mantra but with all the recent infighting feel less confident about the leader. They know his heart is in the right place but feel he is to submissive for the road ahead. My work colleague is a Falklands vet and a multiple visitor to Northern Ireland during the troubles. He detests Corbyn based purely on his historical ties to Sinn Fein. Even though I have pointed out Thatchers and the Americans behind closed doors communication with them were a fundamental part of paving the road to peace he sees Corbyn as a traitor. The Tories are starting to show cracks in the armour through lack of available information and they need to tread very carefully especially with the younger voters.
  10. I had my DE clutch changed at 95k, this was more for peace of mind. When the old one was removed there was still plenty of life in it. The biting point is high on the Z as stated and when I purchased mine on 83k I had exactly the same worry as you Up to you really, if you want peace of mind then change it. However if it's not slipping just put the cash aside and wait until it actually needs doing.
  11. Cracking cars and looking cool.
  12. I have this issue but it's intermittent. I fill the car up and occasionally the gauge reads just under a full tank. However I park on a slope nose down and if left for a few minutes the gauge reads OK again until the next time I fill up. I panicked the first time it happened and refuelled after I had used what the gauge was proporting to be half a tank. I only managed to squeeze in £21 so knew the fault was under reading not over reading.
  13. I replaced my heavy Nismo gear knob today for a stock OEM item. I've had it on since buying the car two years ago and never knew any different. I was getting tired of awkward shifting as it was a tapered cylindrical shape. The OEM knob has improved two things. Firstly it's shorter and the ball shape makes gear changes easier and they feel more precise. Secondly the annoying centre console rattle I had at about 3k revs has gone because it's lighter.
  14. I would say this is a true statement in general. As far as chassis dynamics are concerned definately. However to say new equals better for all cars isn't necessarily correct. New tech also means new issues and more things to go wrong as they push the boundaries. Trial and error still applies after millions of pounds of development even in the 21st century
  15. Spotted at the roundabout by the station. I was in my van so didn't flash lol. Very nice Z indeed.

    Audi S1

Just another boring to look at hot hatch, it certainly wouldn't make me turn around to catch a glance on a garage forecourt I bet it understeers like a boss too, every Audi I've ever driven scrubs out for Britain when pushed, I've not driven one of these though .
  17. He certainly does a cracking job, your car looks mint.
  18. This ^ I stay with the AA but always check out the new business offers elsewhere including the AA. This is then my benchmark for renewal. As a "loyal" long term customer I throw my toys out if they can't match a rivals offer. In general they give me the discount rather than lose the business. I have probably only called them out 5 times since I joined over 20 years ago so I buggered if I'm going to pay more each year. If they ever dig in I wouldn't hesitate in moving to someone else
  19. Rather than totally refer back to my earlier posts I will reiterate. This election is nothing but a Tory exercise in affirming TM in the PM position pre Brexit negotiations. After all when DC stood down none of us elected her. There is absolutely no point in talking about a forgone conclusion and another 5 years of Tory government. Bored now! TT350 your spot on mate.
  20. A test drive is essential, all versions suffer from suspension ancillary wear, bushings and ball joints. Make sure there are no knocks on the drive. When I was looking I found the HR was a smoother engine less course and the clutch a tad lighter and the Rev limit is higher. I bought a DE though as I wanted a modding budget. I'm happy with it. Interior revisions from 06 on the Rev up include a revised centre consul and revised door cards. Later facelift cars came with better bi xenon headlights and led tail lights and a slightly reshaped front bumper and my opinion look more contemporary. Your budget should get you a nice facelift version so a Revup or a leggy HR. Don't discount early cars though and buy on condition as the exterior can be updated fairly easily although interior wise changing the centre consul is a real faff The Bose stereos are pretty pants so if you can find one with an aftermarket stereo it's a bonus. Happy hunting.
  21. First one a nice red shooting up the ring road this morning from the Winchester road roundabout. Second this evening a nice tidy blue heading towards the M3 roundabout from Viables. Both had large aftermarket spoilers.
