  1. Cheers chaps Not herd of agnostic before, every days a school day. Evolution is a theory and the complexity of the earth and everything living is not as a result of chance and randomness in my mind. Supposedly we were made in his image, thus already made like you and I.
  2. I'm not a hardcore bible dude, I rarely but do drink, live in sin, lie, get jealous of mates with nice cars LOL like anyone else ultimately like most try to live and show others respect. many aspect of the bible I like, I guess most from what I understand, but parts I don't like again partly due to my understanding maybe. Not a hater of science or technology, however never been sold on the idea ok monkey to man. But yes 1000000000% believer in Jehovah God. Genuinely enjoying this thread, debates over the age old debate and its been kept respectful which I think is great of the forum
  3. Made with 100% freewill the same as the angels and yes left to it so to speak. Why, that's the big question. Its to show him (the red angel with the long pointy tail) and his boys, that good can prevail over bad. To me its a massive game of pride and honour, as all the other angels are watching this pet project unfold. If I made the best race engine ever and said this is unbreakable, no amount of abuse could break the engine. My mate goes 'give us the key and we'll see how strong your build is'? Well ive said it now and everyone is watching as I hand over the keys. I can't then ask for the keys back until he is satisfied the build is good. 6021 years and many services later, the build is still holding up............................. just.
  4. makes perfect sense, one of the most green long serving car builders in the world if not the
  5. Never really thought about it until this thread to be fair. Time scale wise is a tough one, however the good book says: Day 1 - heavens and the earth. Day 2 - the sky. Day 3 - dry land. Day 4 - stars and heavenly bodies ''the sun which is the primary source of light and the moon which reflects the light of the sun. The movement of these bodies will distinguish day from night'' (at this point I guess one day is created as we know it today ie 24hrs) however the word day was used before to explain time so surely must be different in terms of length. Day 5 - all life that lives in the water. Day 6 - all the creatures that live on dry land including man. Day 7 - He chilled and watched the moto GP, which I make it to be about 6000 years ago and still continues today. If day 6 was the start of all land animals, that might give an indication into the length of a God day and not a earth day of 24hr.
  6. There were four of use at the services for 8am, two 50z and two 70z. Think we left around 8:15am as any later was pushing our luck. Upon entry I managed to blag a ticket from npoc to get in and parked, not the experience one would hope for. Few of my videos from the day.
  7. I have a problem with that calculation too
  8. The whole topic I find intriguing. It's said the earth was made at zero degrees axis with no seasons, clouds would foam much like today and cool on the late evening allowing for rain at night fall. Ta damn, rain with no sun light means no rainbow. Seems far out to me and not what some Christians believe.
  9. God's scale of time is very different to ours, put it this way we're still in the seventh day. It's said there was never a rainbow in the sky before the great flood in Noah's day? Very interesting to know why, or rather ideas about this.
  10. Finding truth in something man made is a sure given and not something people dispute. Its finding truth in things not man made which is the kicker? Wouldn't it be nice know how the Egyptian pyramids were actually made? CERN is a project a lot more scary than particle collision, another one of my pet concerns haha
  11. and yet around the world on race day you see grand stands that are half full
  12. Or fully never quite know for sure...........
  13. I agree with the one gear idea about religion, and not all of the bible sits well with me and no doubt if I read more there would be more I don't agree with. I guess this would be down to how its written (rewrote, translated edited and rehashed) and my own understanding of the piece. If science is ever evolving on a quest for truth, how does one know once truth has been reached?
  14. When Science does do a u turn of supposed facts, I myself do see this as a sign of weakness. As up until that point people will scream until their blue in the face this thinking is correct. However tomorrow, their believes will change completely and now today they are right. From what I gather faith isn't correct today and wrong tomorrow, its set motion from the get go as being correct in a persons belief if that's ones bag LOL
  15. No one is intending on making this thread a science v religion debate, not something that can be won either side. You choose to comment on part of my post which is fine, we're all busy and such like. Point was how we perceive proof. No one on this forum can view more evidence for example about said vehicles top speed any more than they can a mk6 Golf TDi factory emission test when new. IE living witnesses, produced data, pictures, video and documents. Doubt many people cared about the Golf at the time, however it was taken that in all conditions the engines emissions would be legal and above board. Later proven to be false, however all the evidence was presented to show otherwise. How big was the Roman empire? yes almost all of Europe as we know it today and parts of north Africa. Yes we all believe it to be true with no more evidence than what is written in the Bible about documented events as an example. Not everything can be proven by conventional methods as per my last post. Aspect in science are based in theory which is fine and has to be that way.
  16. Alot of what we hear and are told is believed. Back in the 90's as an example the fastest road car ever made did 241mph. Very few people have ever witness it physical doing this speed. Yet we all believe it to be true. Man to the moon, again most folks believe this to be true. Point is belief is not based on individuals witnessing events for themselves, but a belief or faith in what we are told without individual proof. My man who we all loved very much, I would not be able to prove to anyone how much I loved her or if I did at all, doesn't mean it's not true. Maybe AI will present it's findings soon on the matter lol I fear for heads of state, as true AI won't like corruption even if it's asked to turn a blind eye.
  17. Was this a joke? https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4384770/amp/Jared-Kushner-hires-horror-film-publicist-Josh-Raffel.html

  21. Appreciate replies with thoughts and ideas, great place to vent ideas and gain more info/understanding. Im getting this twisted im sure haha and like to share ideas, nothing more. The below found online similar to most things these days. 1. The August eclipse occurs exactly 33 days before the Revelation 12 Sign, beginning in the 33rd state (Oregon), and ending in South Carolina at the 33rd parallel. I've personally verified each of these details (see here, here, and here). Can you really chalk up the significance of this to pure coincidence or confirmation bias? It's been noted that an eclipse like this hasn't happened in 99 years. That would be 3 x 33 years. What might God be communicating? One of our readers noticed Ezekiel 33: The word of the Lord came to me: "Son of man, speak to your people and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword against a land, and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchman, and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people, then if anyone hears the trumpet but does not heed the warning and the sword comes and takes their life, their blood will be on their own head. Since they heard the sound of the trumpet but did not heed the warning, their blood will be on their own head. If they had heeded the warning, they would have saved themselves. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.’ " Ideas of the second coming, ie Jesus. In numbers which is universal the world over. What number could be used to best hint towards JC? Foot size, house number when on the earth, his favourite number hhmmmmm no. What number could relate to JC and be accessible to everyone in a moment? Age at death maybe?................
  22. Haha thought provoking at at least. Religion or not it's concepts of thinking how everything came to be and questioning ones surroundings. Either it's been built or its here today through pure chance without ultimate meaning or direction. The Bible for example explained the earth to be round long before science had chance to catch up. However of late the thinking is its gone back flat, sooooo funny. New topic..... Flat earth theory anyone? Lol
  23. In truth no one knows for sure and it would make sense not to pin all ones hopes said prophecies, hell with all the latest technology in 2017 Carol still can get the weather forecast right for the afternoon. From what I gather although a description of the stars, moon and planets are shown in the Bible, many religious groups aren't on this at all. This topic is not on JW radar and possibly not Christianity as a whole. Via technology we can plot the stars and accurately predict events like solar eclipse to the second. Unless its a con this constellation will happen and it is noted in the Bible which was written circa 3500 years ago. The Bible has been proven to have forecast events in the future with confirmed accuracy ahead of time. Location mentioned in the bible have later been proven to exist. The Bible, Quran, Mudra, Bandha and such like can be interpreted countless ways. A JW knocked my door Sunday, which tricked me as I knew it to be a Saturday they spread their good word door to door. I had him there for 40mins asking about this topic and many other asking why this?and then well why this? And although in terms of 'a' religion I myself align with JW the most, granted less than 1% worth of reading into other religions but faith is just that, faith. Religion as a whole can be used to spark personal agendas, like war - I don't like some religious view on gay people (just thinking out loud with no judgement made) from what I gather religion see it as turning away from God. Now of course I understand that its not a progressive way of life and in one generation humanity would be no more. But for example JW see it as turning away willing from GOD, presenting their ideas as its a choice. I don't think its a choice how you are born. Many young people that come out during school or college get tormented for this daily. Why would any choose to put themselves through this if it was a choice? I myself find the whole topic fascinating and its nice for me to think there's more to what we can see and measure. For me there are bad people that believe in a form of creator, there are bad people that don't. There are good people that believe in a creator, there are good people that don't.
