I've always found I enjoy a show much more if I keep my lens in my pocket. But then I get home and have to rely on memory for all the lovely cars I had seen that day. Pictures and more so videos allow me to snap the moment and enjoy the cars after the show.
If I pulled up at local fuel station and saw an LFA I'd reach for my phone straight away to capture the moment. Not to post for views, but to view and share locally amount friends.
I think YouTube vloggers can be incredibly creative which above cars is their passion ie photography. I lovely photography and can appreciate most genres cars, bikes, birds, planes, weddings, landscape, space.
For me the difference is car guys taking pictures, verses folks that don't know the difference nor care between a spark plug and a glow plug and mainly shoot for likes, but then car guys can genuinely appreciate the content so go figure.
