  1. Lovely meeting you pal, great stand out example HR motor also.
  2. Sadly the very last thing I'd dream of is remote opening the rear door ready for when i get out walk round the back of the car, to unclip my child - utterly nightmare situation with an open invite for the worst. Lot of messed up folks out there, not worth the risk in public imo.
  3. Pretty scary how talks between Russia and the USA are right now, will be military personnel that have waited for years for it to escalate. I just really don't see the situation being resolved anytime soon sadly, only getting worst. Now its become the norm to hear of attacks on the news. War is business, more like stupidity. My Nan said once Trumps President, we're all doomed *she lives in Florida. Makes good sense to stock a pantry or similar. EMP??? maybe id still be able to get about in my carb'd Sunny with no ecu lol
  4. Why does the SMF result in extra noise at idle and low rpm, over the more complex DMF?
  5. Personally like most i don’t see myself buying any EV or Fuel Cell vehicle any time soon, well not until i have little choice but too. I’ve driven both EV’s and now fuel cell however while they’re feats of engineering i don’t find them exciting at all from an ownership view. Part of the excitement for me is not only the speed, but the looks, feel, ability to personalise and sound of a vehicle - yes i know these days are numbered. Toyota aren’t the biggest car manufacture in the world because they waste money or make many poor decisions. Im not going to pretend im smarter than their boffins and to be fair neither is anyone else on the forum. Almost everything we buy is a personal choice, nothing more As a side note, can i ask what made you choose to go EV and specifically the vehicle you did?
  6. http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2017-Sport-Auto-UHP-and-Track-Day-Tyre-Test.htm This is an interestying read - How much faster are track day tyres compared to the best road tyres? Shame the PS4S couldn't be used
  7. Fuel Cell Stack - The Oxygen and Hydrogen chemically react within the fuel cell stack to generate power in the form of electricity.
  8. Totally unfair to compare EV and hydrogen directly, the infrastruction for EV at present out weighs Hydro refills. Hydro cars produce power, EV's consume it. Where were EV's 15yrs ago.... It's hydro first potential mass produced passenger vehicle the concept is way more interesting than EV and can potentially appeal to more buyers once the government back it's and the infrastructure is in place. I'd be expecting for that cost Tesla to offer free charge points at home, install and KW/P at least Toyota give free refills for life granted not a great help today, however going forward who knows.
  9. 12v power probe and set it once........
  10. Pretty sure our children's kids will look back at the internal combustion engine, the same way most of us lot do the steam engine.
  11. Grand progress there, i read the maf ideally should be at the same angle as OE ie maf plug at the 1 o'clock position....... Gutting about the bump on the rear pal.
  12. Yep all old news sadly, issue is we can't store the power generated from these sources. Then can't react to peak times to keep all the lights on. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/earth/energy/windpower/11218297/Wind-farms-paid-43m-to-switch-off.html
  13. Clean it out, the butterfly goes in at the top so if you push on top from behind it wont move when cleaning. However to clean properly you will need to move the butterfly.
  14. ahhh that makes sense, as when i hear N1 i think.............. http://classicregist...4-gtr-v-spec-n1
  15. All the best chap with the investigations
  16. Not all households have a drive or assigned parking................ What if you have two EV's, use a splitter? Go out at 2am ever night to swap the cars around.............

    ACF 50

Used them before on coilovers, great product. But for the length of time taking all the arches out. id use a dedicated underseal product.
  18. As with anything, only time will tell. Hydrogen vehicles orbeit commercial vehicles have been around for many years like EV. Right now for the masses the big wave is hybrid, then it'll be EV's in one form or another. Tesla is the new Prius, it's fashionable as was the Prius 15yrs ago in Hollywood. Tesla don't just do cars so can draw from experience from many industries much like Toyota.
  19. Id guess on a UK car, it will have the loom.
  20. They'll never be a 'free' fuel, ie produced, obtained, stored or transported with zero costs to the environment. The general consensus is, as long as the overall costs to implement fuel cell vehicles is less than that of full EV then it's progression. Fuel cell vehicles are essentially EV, however they produce there own electricity. This power goes to the wheels and the batteries are charged via this and regenerative media. Batteries don't power the wheels under normal driving only to start the vehicle and at stand still.
