i have been after a decent example of a Nissan Pulsar GTi-R for a long long time. I found one a couple of days back. It was mint and standard. One owner and had been garaged for 11 years. low mileage, no rott. It was just down the road from me. i couldn't believe my luck. But, alas it was sold within 10 minutes of me getting in the car for a viewing. Needless to say i was royally pi**ed off.

After years of waiting and searching for the right car, i thought i had found it yesterday only to be beaten to the punch while on the way to see it I have conceded it would probably be easier just to import one. So, my question is: Has anyone done it before and what company did you use? I have had a look online and none of the sites seem to be too user friendly or give the price in $. I had a look at Newera and as i thought, they charge a king's ransom. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i've seen a white R32 GTR in Cambridge a couple of times on the way to work. Every time i've seen the driver he's always smiling from ear to ear and i don't blame him, it looks stunning.

i only ask as Mark at Abbey deleted the TC limits. So instead of a 3:1 ratio to the pedal it's now 1:1

OEM ones are fine. You may find that the life of the shock is reduced somewhat. Depends on the age of the shock and so on and so fourth.

what mods did you have before the remap Velocity stacker, dry gel air filter, plenum spacer, Hfcs, new exhaust system. That's it.

Just going to put this out there ~ You can only really say that though if you had the car put on the dyno & tested firstly in standard form, ....then proceed to fit the aftermarket parts and re-test the power of the car on the dyno under the same conditions as before (E.g: same ambient temperatures, same day, same tyre pressures etc etc). Also a car manufacturer may say on paper that their car has 276Bhp as new from the factory but the truth could be it's got more power as standard (used to be fairly common with Japanese cars from the 90's) or even less power. Plus each dyno make will give different readouts as well as the same dyno make giving different readouts for the same car on different days. Again coming down to so many different variables. Oh and just to put this in the mix as well, tests have shown that a car running on new engine oil as appose to 12 months or older engine oil will show an increase in Bhp. Very true. That's why i had it on a dyno prior to any mods. It made 269 @ the fly. But as you say, not even that really proves anything as it wasn't the same dyno. I'm merely suggesting it may not be placebo. Or at least i think to think so. It also had an oil change before the map, so maybe that's where the increase in BHP came from In some respect i hope it did as it will be the cheapest way i have ever gained more ponies.

i don't know how much truth is in it, but apparently they are well known for vacuum problems. Vacuum pipes splitting (and there are quite a few of them) So it turns into a game of Sherlock Holmes.

i was surprised to find out that all the mods i had done to my Zed prior to it being mapped, gave me an extra 4 bhp over what it says it is on paper (276) O.k, i concede that 4 bhp is nothing to get the DJ and beers out for but, it shows it can make a difference and that it's not just placebo.
