If they're coming lose then I'd say try some locking washers or thread lock on the nuts. Fyi my Invidia has been on over 10 months and the tips clamps haven't come lose at all, ...just double checked them too. Example below of a locking washer:

Yeah that sort of thing really pi**es me off as it can be very dangerous ~ it's literally like some people think it's illegal to overtake other vehicles nowadays. Last time I had it happen to me this was the scenario: Driving home through some lanes which open out into a 60mph part of road section, it is unlit but fairly straight for long distances in places. I came up behind a car doing 40mph and I was doing around 55mph. Stayed behind them for awhile at a safe distance but when they slowed further I decided to overtake them on the next safe straight bit of road. Checked my mirrors, indicated, pulled out & overtook swiftly only to be blinded by the other driver as I was pulling back in safely. They continued to flash me for the next 100 yards or so before I was out of their range. Just no need for that at all. -
Oooohh it's going to be a long a** week for you. No sleep for you on Wednesday night either. Hope it all goes well and you enjoy your new Zed.

Ok so after having my UpRev done and getting the new alloys on I decided to sit back and enjoy my Zed for what it was. So did very little for awhile except a lot of this.... That lasted a short while before I started making my big "secret" plans. I didn't want to advertise what I was planning and slowly I started to do my research on the subject of supercharging the VQ35DE motor. At first I started by reading as many of the build threads from other members that had supercharged their Zeds ~ particularly good threads for this where octets, the chubby ninja, Vlads, Darren-B, and evilscorp. Thanks guys. This then led me into the "forced induction" section of the forum where I started to learn more valuable information especially in the "Vortech supercharging technical & reliability" thread which holds some great pointers with regards to pitfalls, fixes & the important PCV for the Zed. I also started looking at "my350z.com" an American site which has an incredible 109 page thread dedicated to Vortech information. Learned so much from reading my way through that. Now that I felt I had enough knowledge behind me to start seriously looking at this I began by making a comprehensive list of parts and possible extras I may also need so that I could budget for as much as possible including possibly unforeseen outcomes. Anyway this didn't occur overnight and in the mean time I was still addicted to this place like a crack baby is to crack so couldn't help but carry on with some non performance related mods after reading other members threads. This time it was Lyndzzz who made me do it. ^^ Cr*p picture I know but it was Friday night and I was drinking lager so it looked ok at the time. Painted gloss black upper plenum. Tbh I was pretty pleased with how it turned out, ..mainly because, I decided, either because of pure skill or just laziness that I'd paint it without removing the strut brace bar like a normal person would have but also because I was slightly inebriated at the time. More to follow....

Yep it's a sensible thing to have if you can. Very popular in Russia & China. Plenty here now in the UK too and I can only see the numbers increasing with the cameras getting cheaper & other road users skill levels seemingly being so poor nowadays it would seem. -
Welcome aboard Simon. Love the E type, ...very nice clean & original looking car. Good luck with the Zed hunt.

Pictures look much better now, ...I mean now that I can actually see them. Nice looking Zed and hope you're enjoying it.

Fair enough. Depending on the size of the vents you may want to think about using "water catch/drain trays" from another car ~ I suggest this because I know my old 96 JDM Subaru Impreza had two bonnet vents (one on either side of the bonnet) and these had water trays on the other side. Probably be a pretty cheap thing to get hold of from a scrappy or from eBay.

OH Media Photography did some great photos of my Zed!! Pics in thread!!

Red looks great on the Zed. Last pictures my favourite one just for how the paint colour looks. Your engine is a "VQ35DE" btw. -
^^ Gorgeous look to that Zed Pete.

Love the colour, ..gonna be a very interesting build then by the looks of the plan & those seats will look amazing. Got to ask though; Why the bonnet vents? Imo unless it's a functional thing, e.g. to allow more hot air out of the engine bay or to aid air flow to filters/intercooler, ...then I wouldn't bother. Will just end up letting water in all over the engine & electronics. What about the HR hump bonnet instead? Personally I love the look of those but each to their own if the vents are what you want.

Enjoy the holiday.

None on mine but obviously not a problem for me as I don't have Teins with EDFC or bonnet vents. If you measure the hole you could always just buy a rubber bung/grommet to cover them Vlad. Like these on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Open-amp-Closed-Blind-Blanking-Hole-Rubber-Grommets-20-25-32-38-50mm-Cable-Wiring-/350823212637?_trksid=p2054897.l4275
