Don't fret. It can be repaired. Place's like this; http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/locations/cardiff-cwmbran/ ....can repair the alloy to a good as new condition. Usually they can do just the one alloy that's damaged so it shouldn't cost you too much money. Maybe £40-£80 at a guess? If on the rare occasion though they can't match the colour then you may have to get all four done as otherwise the colour won't match perfectly but I'm sure with Ford alloys they'll have no problem matching the colour especially on a car so new. Totally Andy. Going out for a drive tomorrow as I'm picking up the Mrs from work at 4pm, ...going the long way there & back. Sure you'll feel just as happy with the turbo once that's all sorted.

It is so good to drive with the S/c, ...so glad I went this route with it. As long as your wife pays for the build I can't see the problem. Better than shoes & handbags. I intend to don't worry. Much more fun that way.

Welcome Ed. It's all personal taste tbh but yes Cobra is a decent upgrade over the standard system, ...whether it will give you the sound you want I can't answer that. If you're in no rush it's best to listen to a few different exhaust systems in person if you can so you can decide what you like best. Local meets or shows are a great place to do this.

Cheers Neil. Literally look forward to every day waking up even on work days as I know the first thing I get to do is drive my Zed, ....I was like that before anyway but having the s/c just makes it even better.

Nobody will ever see the underneath of that bumper unless the cars up on ramps or you've rolled it onto it's roof so I think it doesn't really matter as in either scenario you'll have more to worry about then a few scrapes under the bumper.

Thanks ~ worth the money I'd say. You only live once & all that so I'm glad I did it. Spent probably the same amount of cash roughly some 5 years ago now on an old JDM Impreza WRX that I used to own & tbh it was nowhere near as good as my Zed is now. Doesn't even come close.

^^ Keep quite Chris. Feels great to me ~ no traction problems or anything really although obviously I'm not being stupid with it & am driving to the road/weather conditions. Put's the power down very nicely in part to my wider rear tyres I'm sure and just pulls & pulls all the way through the rev range.

Thanks Zeus. Love the dials and it's great being able to check the oil temperature ~ that's my favourite dial as it let's me know when I can give it the beans. I did kind of try to keep it on the down low, ....didn't want to be one of those people banging on about getting a supercharger for months shortly followed by not getting one. It's not really a "blow off valve" as such as my car is supercharged so it's a "bypass valve" but very similar. Honestly if you plan on keeping your Zed then I'd really consider this as it's obviously made an extreme difference to how it drives now performance wise. Over the moon with it thanks. Such a shame though it can't be done so "easily" to your HR. Cheers Rock_Steady. I prefer kind of a stealthier look to my car rather than all body kitted up etc and have tried to add little touches where I see appropriate without being too OTT. Also got a few more small additions I've added in the last week or so but I'm saving those pictures for tomorrow night.

Glad you're pleased with your new system, ...tbh as soon as I read the thread title I thought "oh no, he's just bought one & is having issues fitting". If you're pleased with it then that's all that matters.

Welcome aboard. Any problems have a search as the answers may already be on here for you, ...if no luck then post up to ask members as it's what this place is for.

So on the 12th of October I had one important question to ask myself. Will this all fit in the Zed? Unbelievably it did and with some space left over too. So the next day off I popped to Horsham Developments for Jez and Craig to work their magic. It took a little longer for them to fit everything than was originally planned but they where very busy and also a small problem popped up with my car when it came time to change the plugs. Yep it had oil in the spark plug tubes so two new cam covers where needed along with the gaskets which where all sourced from Clark Motorsport who did an excellent job of getting Jez & Craig the parts pretty darn quick so it didn't add too much of a delay. I was kept well informed by Jez the entire time and this was very reassuring, ..also he sent me a few teaser pictures as the build was progressing & parts where trialed & fitted. Like below. Eventually though the inevitable happened, .....no nothing went wrong, ...I just went to collect my car, paid a rather large bill, thanked Jez & Craig for all their hard work (including a late night dyno session by Jez) and started the drive home to South Wales in what can only be described as the best driving, sounding, looking car I've ever had the pleasure to own. Anyway I'm sure some of you just want to know the dyno result so let's get that out of the way so here it is which I'm very pleased with. Mishimoto oil cooler fitted (on rubber mounts with supporting mount underneath) & Vortech intercooler. BOV fitted position. I actually love the sound this thing makes (how sad ). The night I got it home and my first picture of the gauges all lit up in all their glory. Thanks again Ian & no I won't sell you them back sorry. And a nice pair of engine bay shot's of how it looked last weekend (I've already changed somethings but I'll leave that to another update tomorrow).

Oh and hope the collection of the Zed went well Steve.

It's definitely worth a shot imo. I'm glad I did it myself and even now you can't tell where it was damaged so I'm chuffed. Yeah, show us the damage when you get a chance.
