  1. Benjy it's not easy but I managed to remove and refit my engine cover with the brace still in situ. The two nuts at the front are easy and the bolt on the drivers side is accessible so it's really only the one on the passengers side that will cause you any grief. I used a long 10mm ring spanner which I was able to get at the bolt with & slowly remove it. Hopefully soon I'm going to be getting a CF engine cover for my Zed and I'm not planning on removing the brace to fit it, ...no way jose.
  2. Thanks Mitz. Still love my alloys, ...one of the best decisions I made was getting those from you. Thanks Gareth - you've got a very tidy car there Cheers Jez ~ wouldn't be as good without the help from you & the guys at Horsham Developments, so thanks again. Thanks for all your help along the way Bennett. Really appreciate the time you spent advising me on supercharger matters. Thanks Davey ~ well you have a good idea where to look for new alloys. Made such a difference to my car looks & handling wise. Big improvement.
  3. Go ahead Andy ~ couldn't patent it as its not commercially viable to do so. That's a real shame but if need's must Ian. Keep buying those lotto tickets as you never know, ..it could be you. Thanks. Anyway, what's wrong with pink Graham, ...pretty sure I've seen a picture of you on here wearing pink!. It is white though really yes.
  4. Thanks a lot man! Though I have Matt Bronze Loving the progress on your zed mate. Really good work! As others have said... keep it coming! Doh!. Have edited it now to read matt bronze. I'll update as often as I can, ..almost at the good stuff now.
  5. Heard quite a few complaints about FK453's, Hankook Ventus V12's or Kumho KU39's would be better choices IMO. No complaints from me ~ I really like them.
  6. Look's great Graham and matches the colour scheme nicely.
  7. Something like this?.... Never done it myself but here are some similar threads on the subject although fairly old ones: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/16258-dash-re-trim/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/1124-leatheralcantara-interior/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/21328-alcantara-re-trim/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/89402-flocking-dash-who-to-use/ Hope that helps.
  8. Thanks mate. You still selling then or have you decided to keep it? Thanks ~ this will be you a year from now Pat once Zeditus fully takes hold.
  9. Thanks. Definitely need to do a tunnel run in convoy I think to truly appreciate the sound.
  10. As most people who use this forum will be aware it's hard sometimes not to want what others have bought and after reading several threads about wheel spacers I was now starting to seriously consider getting some for my Zed. I contacted Mitz from The Cougar Store to discuss it ~ Mitz is a great guy, super helpful and very knowledgeable when it comes to Zeds imo. With the price of spacers plus a full set of new tyre's which I knew I would be needing very soon I started to wonder if I could get some sort of alloy wheel package deal to kill two birds with one stone & negate the need for wheel spacers at all. I also enjoy reading lot's of the other member's build thread's and one in particular that I really enjoy is Scott_f91 "Project Zed". He's done some great styling mod's to his Zed imo and I really loved the new alloy's that he bought for his Gun Metal Zed which where Rota Grids in matt bronze. After discussing it with Scott and nagging him for some different pictures I eventually started discussing prices with Mitz and tried to see if he was able to sort me out a wheel & tyre package as I just wanted to fit them without the hassle of taking them somewhere to get tyre's fitted afterwards. A deal was done and so I bought 19" Rota Grids in "steel grey". Thanks again Mitz. Offset: ET20 Front: 19 x 9.5J with 245/35/19 tyres (Falken 453) Rear: 19 x 10.5J with 275/35/19 tyres (Falken 453) Oh and before anyone mentions it yes my Zed looks very high in the pics but I had literally just fitted the alloys so the suspension hadn't settled yet ~ it does sit lower nowadays although lowering springs or coilovers are still on the cards some day. I also did a small mod whilst I was at it so I could carry my chrome 4 way wheel wrench without it rattling around in the boot. Patent pending so no copying. More to follow...
  11. Welcome aboard Bopat. Lovely roadster, ...really like the colour.
  12. ^^ What they all said. Don't think it's anything to necessarily worry about. Welcome aboard.
  13. I think red & black is great, ...look's good on just about anything. If my Zed was black, believe me I'd have some red on it too.
  14. Great work Pat and you can't beat a bit of red & black.
  15. Some progress being made then Mike which is good. I didn't mention it but I started my own build thread as my Zed is supercharged now so I thought I'd add all the pictures I've built up over the last year. It's in the "members build" threads if you fancy a look, ...not got to the good bit yet but won't be long before I add those pictures.
  16. Great sound. Love driving my Zed through tunnels whenever I can, ...one of the best things to experience just for the sound.
  17. It's worse when garages just take it upon themselves to put stickers on your car. For example I had a Longlife exhaust system fitted to my old Civic Type R, ...nice workmanship & sounded pretty good but annoyingly they stuck a sticker advertising Longlife exhausts on my rear bumper. Took it off 5 minutes after I got home. Cheeky s*ds.
  18. He means are they Rays alloys? GT4 alloys? etc Generally the Zed is supposed to run a staggered tyre set up. E.g: With Rays alloys for example the tyre sizes would be 225/45/18 Front and 245/45/18 Rear.
  19. Just waiting on a response from a PM I sent Dashurik but you are second inline now Durk should Dashurik not want them. Will keep this updated & let you know as soon as I know. Thanks for your interest.
