  1. Almost Thursday Steve. Good luck tomorrow.
  2. Look's great and glad you're enjoying your Zed.
  3. See, if I were the warden, it'd be a commodore 64 with a cassette loading system. To kind, ...give them a commodore 64 fine but with only Sega Mega Drive games to try & play. Mwha ha ha, ..see how much fun they have with that. Seriously though sentences for offences & prison in general is a f**king joke nowadays.
  4. Thanks for the praise all and glad you're having a good read. Couple more bits arrived following some more research. After trying to digest as much as I could regarding the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) system on our Zeds from American sites and this site I eventually bought all the bits to do my system. ^^ Above is: a Rutland mini oil catch can, 10mm nylon non-return valve, mini oil breather filter, jubilee clips & some 10mm I/D Gates fuel/oil hose. The reason this is important is because the VQ35DE is not designed for forced induction so you need to address the PCV system in order to avoid the boost pressure from the plenum boosting the crankcase which can cause all sorts of problems. More info here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/82588-vortech-supecharging-technical-and-reliability-thread/ I also stumbled upon a "how to" written by Sam Mcgoo about doing a CAI (cold air induction) for the Vortech supercharger although as he mentions in his thread it could just as easily be used on an na Zed. Thanks for the great write up & instructions Sam. Link here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/59915-how-to-diy-cold-air-intake-cai/ After collecting all the parts I needed to build my CAI this is what I had created in preparation for my build. Wouldn't know until I eventually got the supercharger fitted whether it would work or not but I followed Sams measurements to a T so was pretty confident. Update again soon.
  5. Welcome aboard. Hope you enjoy your new Zed.
  6. I am and I'm seriously contemplating letting you organise a SC for me í ½í¸‰
  7. Ok so now I had my list of parts that I definitely needed for my supercharger install as well as a list of "possible" extras that I may need. There where of course lot's of things I'd like to have done but as I don't earn all that much I had to be sensible and budget for what I could afford at first to get the bare minimum needed for a safe reliable s/c set up. Other things could follow later when funds allowed. With this in mind I set my budget and started contacting various parts suppliers, ...mainly traders on the forum tbh as I found these to be giving the best prices around on the specific parts I was after. Started small at first; "Nismo low temperature thermostat" from Clark Motorsport for a bargain £50 delivered. Thanks again Ewen. That got the ball rolling though and was quickly followed by an absolute bargain deal from eBay: a "Mishimoto 19 row oil cooler kit" . It came direct from Mishimoto UK so I knew all was good but the only problem was that I had wanted a "thermostatic oil sandwich plate" version of this kit for my build but I couldn't pass this one up on eBay as the price was just too good. Besides with the money I saved it was more than enough to buy the thermostatic sandwich plate separate and have some change left over afterwards. Next up was a red set of Mishimoto silicone coolant hoses. I had intended to leave these off my build but it seemed daft not to do them at the same time in part because I knew I would need new coolant after having the low temperature thermostat fitted but also because I still had the original Nissan hose's fitted so didn't want one of them to go & spoil my fun. I also then got a Samco stainless steel jubilee style hose clip pack as it would be a shame to have fitted them with the nasty old OEM clips. With my parts collection slowly increasing I thought I was done with anything else but after reading that Vlad had stopped dipping parts for the 350Z owners a deal was done with him to buy some old interior parts for my Zed that he was selling off. I bought those so that I could send away those parts for dipping, leaving me free still to drive my Zed without stripping out the interior. I contacted AquaGraphix to do the dipping as they are fairly local to me and I wanted to support a local firm ~ plus they do very good work at a reasonable price. Link: https://www.aquagraphix.co.uk/ I asked them to match a carbon fibre part which I already had in my Zed that a previous owner had fitted.... ..this wasn't a problem & they could have done it but then I saw some more carbon fibre dipped parts. I then decided to go with a black base coat, covered with a gold carbon fibre weave sealed in with a clear gloss lacquer. Out with the old... In with the new... More to follow, if anyone's actually still reading this.
  8. Should be enough thread to do that, ....good idea.
  9. Nope. I'd rather give some other prisoner £20 to "shank" the guy that robbed my house.
  10. Have you done any mods firstly? Personally I don't think it's worth doing at all until you've done a few performance mods so that you will hopefully see more of an improvement over the car as standard, ...although as standard there will still be some improvement (from a better throttle response as the standard Nissan ECU reduces throttle response in the first few gears) it just won't be as noticeable imo as if you've replaced the standard more restrictive parts first. Basically do: air intake, exhaust, Cats, and plenum spacer minimum. After I had my UpRev done the biggest difference for me was the throttle response in the first few gears ~ another plus is the 155mph limiter removed should you find yourself on a disused runway or the Autobahn.
  11. Always do Bobby, ..always do. Quite a few of us who have had members of families etc serving, ...both my great grand father (WW1) & grand father (WW2) where in the Army. Link: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/88939-dont-forget-to-honour-the-ww-dead-at-10pm/
  12. Great news on passing the MOT, ...always a relief.
  13. If you're going to change the nuts then you might as well try to get these exhaust locking nuts to try like below.
  14. It's ironic that because of your "little mistake" when choosing your alloys to fit your Zed you are now probably one of the most knowledgeable people to ask about fitting alloys on a Zed.
