    Cayman 718

Having recently bought a Cayman S 987.2 I would stick with the 6 pot. I also drove a mates Boxster 987.2 and the top end power wasn't there and it felt very flat but it drove nicely at low revs. Yeah the new one will be quicker but for me if I was spending that much I would sacrifice a little straight line speed for the sound and driving enjoyment.
  2. When I had my S2000 and my Zed I had my no claims on the S2000 as it was my daily I was keeping and I just insured the Zed with a 3k limit while it was advertised and it was about £300 for a year with zero no claims. I was 33 at the time, clean licence and no accidents not that it seems to make any real difference.
  3. There is one tomorrow night that I know of, a couple of mates are going to it
  4. I was close to signing up to the finance package on the CTR but I couldn't bring myself to sign up to it knowing I was paying that much and after 36 months I knew I had to pay the same again. Once you start on that route it's very hard because you get nothing back if you give it back. Also I got offered 6k for my 2007 350z with 50k full history and good spec as part ex. For now I have stuck with my old car and spend the extra money on track days or autosolos
  5. TGM gets my recommendation
  6. It's the same with any road that someone is going to drive spiritedly. Unless it's clear and you can see a very long distance on the road or you have driven it once already stick to the speed limit or just a couple of mph over not silly speeds. As I have got older I'm much happier to sit at 60 and take the corner properly rather than trying to just drive 'fast'
  7. That video makes me not want to be associated with owning an S2000, but I do own one and love it. Stick to the track if you must drive like a dick or don't film it and post it online.
  8. I always found my 350z boot useless and the S2000 has a more usable space due to the extra height, this could change things as I keep looking at 370z Nismo cars, guessing the same could be done on there?
  9. I suck at your rules no lights on
  10. I've nearly always use Shell as there are 4 with 2 miles of my house, so whichever direction I go I can fill up easily. Yeah it costs a bit more but it's convenient and the advert says the engine will be better treated due to the additives In my old E39 M5, it made 12 more hp on the same rollers with tesco momentum, not scientific as different days etc but that is a big variance for the same car with no changes apart from fuel between the runs, about a month apart on a standard car.
  11. For a little while I have wanted a little more noise from the exhaust. I already have the UK exhaust mod with 28mm pipe and I've heard other cars with a larger pipe and wasn't sure. There were a few exhausts that came up for sale recently and after me being very indecisive I picked up a second hand mugen ap1 exhaust. This one appealed because it doesn't have 4 inch tailpipes which I do not want on the back of my car, hopefully this should be subtle enough. Fitted it this afternoon and so far I'm liking the sound, it's a deeper sound than I was expecting but not too loud and doesn't drone so for me a great compromise I think I need to tweak the position slightly but it's dark and it's not causing issues just me wanting it to sit perfectly

  13. Fairly sure I saw your car as I walked through the car park
  14. Honda S2000 - 46,590 miles Car was serviced by Honda Bracknell today, yet again they have done a good job. I went for a 12+ service, gearbox and diff oil was also changed. There is a click from the rear which wasn't identified but now I'm thinking about it, it may be the hub nut so I will get a couple of new ones to put on. I like the fact that they collect it and drop it back to me lazy but means I have no hassle and it keeps the full Honda history. Plans are now to fit the winter alloys when the temps drop a bit and continue to use it daily and enjoy it
  15. And I thought my 2004 S2000 had a lot of Blue at least it wasn't cloth
