  1. Doesn't it hold the hands free microphones?
  2. I can't get over how tacky that cockpit is....
  3. Edited my previous message, so you might have missed the link to an old thread, its not the one I remember but suggests they should be 2 speed.
  4. I did warn that might be the case. I'm fairly sure there was a thread discussing the single speed issues and newer versions were supposed to be 2 speed, but the wiring required modding. Couldn't find the thread I remember, but this one suggest they should be 2 speed. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/91876-mishimoto-fan-help/
  5. I didn't installed it myself but... The power magic pro is install in the driver foot well The leads to my rear one go through the boot lid as described. A couple of other things, I think the wifi alert will only work if your on the same wifi network I.e. parked on your drive it may be okay, parked in town and out shopping center its not okay. I have the Wifi turned off as it saves battery life, see my next point.... Leaving the camera running whilst parked will kill your battery. I used to have mine set up to stay alert for as long as it could - it makes 2-3 days on a fully charged battery new battery. However I don't drive very often an when I do its generally under 20 minutes so the battery never gets fully recharged. Car batteries are not designed to run down and then be fully recharged, so you will need to replace your battery often. I killed a battery in under a year, but part of that may be because I left it uncharged for long periods. To get round this I now have the dashcam set up to run for 3 hours in parking mode and have 2 batteries which I swap out and fully charge every 2-3 weeks. Bit of a pain, especially with the Zeds poorly designed battery holder. I've had to use this device more than I hoped ... http://www.350z-uk.c...-that-start-v8/
  6. Yeap, I have doubts over that first one! Was pumping up my tyres with a bike pump on Sunday and the local loon came up up to me and told me I should be letting air out as it was a warm day...
  7. OEM fans are better than the Mishimotos - better air flow and a lot quieter. But a new set of Mishimotos is a lot cheaper than a new set of OEMs. The air flow from the mishimotos is still fine for most use though. I have Mishimotos but wish I hadn't as IMO it ruins the sound of the car.
  8. Not exactly the same, but water can run down the boot lid and pool in the rear lights and from there it could end up in the boot. Do you park on an incline? http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/86683-water-in-my-zed-solved/
  9. I've started to have this as well. I find if i just rapidly click it a few times it opens. I hear a click every time i press it but not sure if its the switch or the actuator. (I've got mono hearing, I cant tell sound direction)
  10. Change the batteries, would be my first guess and clean the contacts whilst the key fobs open.
  11. Its probably just a broken fan - common problem. If the air con is on and the cars stationary both fans should be on. However when the fans start to go it can be intermittent so just because both fans come on doesn't mean there isn't a problem. When this happens the coolant gets heated, expands and comes out of the same place you put in. You can either take the fans out and recondition them - cheap Buy a mishimoto fan shroud - next cheapest but can be noisy Buy new OEM fans - Expensive
  12. The cargo net in all the examples pics is tied to the floor, you can get a lot more under there if you tie it to the strut bar. I might be able to take some photos at the weekend. You don't get any more width but you pretty much get the height of the boot. Helps to have a tonneau as well.
  13. The cargo net is pretty stretchy and can be clipped to the underside of the brace to give more room (i.e not clipped to the floor). If you look under the brace there are 2 clips, its the kind of thing you only notice by accident! There's also a boot release latch hidden under the brace; you know, just in case you get locked in that tiny boot...
  14. This is the 'official' thread for your issue. http://www.350z-uk.c...pod-hack-guide/ As Strudel said the tape source needs to be selected in order for it to work, its simple aux connection so it should work with any input. There are a few other possibilities. Depending on how the hack has been done you may or may not needs to have a blank tape playing at the same time for it to work. Have you disconnected the battery? Every time you disconnect the battery you need perform the tape deck reset. Instructions are in the link above. if you don't do this it won't work. Turn the igntionon on and press teh tape eject button, if it makes a wiring noise for 15 seconds then you know it needs to be reset.
  15. You just need to give them a coating in anything with UV protection. Clear coatings a bit OTT. When I did mine last year I used Gtechnic C4 to protect from UV. There are plenty of threads on this topic: http://www.350z-uk.c...ealight-refurb/ http://www.350z-uk.c...ht-restoration/ http://www.350z-uk.c...ht-restoration/ http://www.350z-uk.c...light-restored/ http://www.350z-uk.c...udy-headlights/ http://www.350z-uk.c...-be-cleaned-up/ http://www.350z-uk.c...tion-using-srp/ http://www.350z-uk.c...fogged-up-help/ You should be able to do both lights in under 10-15 minutes (if you are using powertools), it will obviously take a bit longer if your doing it by hand.
  16. Its all in this thread: I created a shared template so you can track your own service schedule, its the top post on this page. http://www.350z-uk.c...0z/page__st__60
  17. I have a set you can have for £50, they don't include the actual mirrors but its everything else including the fixings. they are off a GT so have a heating element connection.
  18. You want one of these, as advertised on these very forums. As someones whose dashcam can kill a battery in under a year I can vouch for how great they are. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/93077-super-powerpack-palm-size-jump-pack-that-start-v8/
  19. I'd guess doncaster, boith phone numbers are registered against a white goods company.... http://doncasterappliances.co.uk/contacts.html
  20. I've had my blade silver resprayed in a few locations and a couple of times the people have specifically told me that there were a number of different color combinations brought back by the one code. It seemed a bit odd, but I've been told them same things by multiple garages. They sprayed a bit of each onto some test strips and held it against the car to get the right mix. One of the garages showed me the test pieces and to be honest I couldn't tell the difference between them. I've not heard of anybody respraying a whole panel without blending it into the surrounding areas. although in your case the colour difference looks too great. How much did you pay?
  21. Have you tried googling it, i just did and there are plenty of hits.
  22. The scratches on the windows are a common problem, there's a few threads about it on here. Sorry to say this, but your not getting them out. Toothpaste will work on the plastic headlights but not on the glass.
