  1. Hayward rotary offer warranty with any of their builds, so if perusing, keep your eye out for that name
  2. I think a well sorted Rx7 would float your boat given your car history and usage, worth keeping your eye on
  3. I've had a year off from having a track/weekend toy whilst I built a house, so had plenty of time to watch the market and decide where I am heading car wise for early spring. I did have my heart set on a gtr, but my head decided for the intended use (quite a lot of track days) its probably going to be too costly (tyres, brakes, servicing etc) and budget would only get 11 ish plate and again not so sure it was wise for hard track work with that age. So, am pretty much set on a 4c, with some decent upgrades, alfaworks ecu which will net over 300hp, 17/18 wheel combo, sticky tyres, suspension tweaks and a few other bits will make for a very decent track proposition.
  4. So whats everyones 2019 plans with their cars. anyone thinking of a change etc etc
  5. £40k in 1993 is roughly £77k now, so way below inflation. Good to see a decent platform from the Japanese manufacturers though, albeit in conjunction with BMW, i doubt there are many of us on here that bought our 350's or 370z new, but a few years down the line, a sensible jdm choice for us for a change and you know it will be massively tuneable I have never bought a new car and probably never will, i just couldnt stomach the loss and if i had £50k burning a hole in my pocket, you can buy one hell of a 2nd car
  6. It shows, you almost managed to park in one space
  7. Do we know if the interiors are shared/common to each other?
  8. Toyota have played a blinder really, kept the intrigue going, I bet forums are alight with chat, it wouldnt surprise me if they had leaked that photo themselves to keep it going. Will be interesting to see the final launch photos and to see in the flesh, stats (weight), interior, the price of one with decent spec and as Doc says if there is any difference in maintenance and warranty schedules, which is doubtful, although Subaru and Toyota were different on the gt86 and brz.
  9. Gorgeous and a 370z side repeater to boot
  10. Are you not, you have been declaring an interest in buying most things, 4c, gtr, new z, 370z + nismo, cayman, ctr to name a few
  11. I have had experiences of larger throttle bodies in a couple of cars and neither particularly good, great for a few more hp, but in both experiences part throttle they were horrible, great if you are on a drag strip though. Unless you want to spend an absolute fortune on dyno time getting the mapping just right, i really wouldnt bother, all depends what you use the car for i guess.
  12. I doubt they are much more than std, but all the same its probably because lights are common to damage in crashes, so hefty mark ups as they know they will sell loads, you cant believe some moulded plastic costs a lot to make.
  13. I agree with the majority, way to Lexus for me
  14. Hear its legendary engine and look at its HUuuugggeee front lights!
  15. Dam i enjoy anti lag, got to love that truck
  16. So whilst i may not have a 350z anymore I stayed with the 350z format, Nissan Elgrand Highway Star 3.5ltr VQ engine auto people carrier
  17. Sure Tarmac can still get them (i doubt he carried stock anyway), give them a shout, great bunch of guys!
  18. Such a shame we cant have pop up headlights anymore We can certainly thank the EU commission for that one
  19. Lmgt4 are light so not sure where that comes from, the probable reason for the steering feeling heavier would be the guy probably ran a 245 front to match the extra width of the lmgt4. Plenty of light wheels around op, depends how deep your pockets are and I would also suggest that if its anything but serious track work I just dont think it makes benefit to cost sense, std rays will do the job
  20. ^^^ This. If I had a gun to my head to buy a muscle car I would have one of these over a Mustang any day of the week.
  21. I am with Coldel, I think the mk4 was pretty wild for 90's styling, I remember a dude had one in the marina where I worked and it it didnt look out of place with the usual exotica the boat crowd owned, although it was circa £40k, not cheap for a Toyota. Still think they look good today but they havent aged as well as say a Rx7. I am not sure how the M2 as an example could be called subtle, safe or conservative, a very striking car imho
  22. Sorry to derail, wings look great, will look forward to a new thread
  23. I was torn between the Rx8 and 350z, they are a great drive, the only problem i would guess for Andy is they are classed as 2.6 for any competitive events, although I bet that series would be great fun.
