  1. When are you planning to do your one ? (if you need any help let me know)
  2. Nostrils are about £25 on eBay (cf as well) iirc...
  3. Yeah just do that, doesn't sound right and double check you put them on the right way up. They don't jitter.
  4. Ah cheers for that mate, just done the front and having new rears popped on now... Already waaaay sharper steering! But actually what I meant was any suggestions on the camber/caster
  5. I'm popping the Eibach's on tomorrow, and will re-visit possibly next weekend if required. What would your thoughts be for road use (not DD in my case though) ?
  6. Great info and clarification sir I believe they dialled a bit of cross caster in as it's largely driven on the road, and to do with the 'crown' or 'cross slope' of the road and the drainage being on the left (? - something to do with that as Tony and I were talking about it ) And that it was better to have a little bit of disparity between them on the caster rather than the camber to achieve this. - don't quote me as that's my memory trying to work there.
  7. I saw these myself, the quality of them are fantastic, I really would if I could !!! 8 pot FTW
  8. £60 is a bargain for this but I'm after a mines lip or very similar myself.
  9. Yey, got my Eibach arbs and 380RS pedal this evening,as well as some help with the abs last week, many thanks again Adrian I saw some of the brake kits, superchargers and coilovers - lovely quality stuff indeed.
  10. Completely disagree, it's not about falling asleep it's about the quality and how you feel during the day afterwards. But what it's blatantly obvious, we're all different and there's no harm whatsoever in trying different ways out over several days/weeks to see how you feel (not just a one off).
  11. Find a different place for MOT and always use those guys
  12. Yeah best to have an orange light source (can use candles) when winding down for an hour or so, and for the room to be pitch black - so no LED's creating pockets of illumination, and lastly silicone ear plugs are pretty good too.
  13. I've got the standard bolts on the rear (I think that's what you're referring to right?), however I do have a pair of Eibach rear bolts but I've not used them yet as I didn't think it required it. So if I want a bit more neg camber up front for turn in, they should be able to push the rear a bit more even with the standard bits out in the rear then ? In regards to the caster and the SAI - what would you think is more ideal ? I can't judge the true feel of it just yet as I only came back on the m25 straight home, I need to nip out and have a play. But needless to say I was a bit nervous Typically I like having responsive turn in, I'm not sure how much of a difference the Eibach ARB's are going to be affecting that feeling after I get them on, as I'm sure they will affect it (well, for the balancing of weight).
  14. Yep, I agree at low speeds it can feel a little harder but otherwise these are a must (imho) if wanting standard ride heigh, slightly lower with Tein S or far lower with the B8's and matched springs. I'm very pleased, just the ARB's to fit now
  15. Sounds very similar to my car. (but more than likely louder as it's single exit)
  16. Do what Ekona said to do first - just do it safely and DONT put the handbrake on either See how you get on, then come back and let us know. (I use Yellow Stuff which are a step up, no noisey issues in that regard)
  17. Phew - that was a great experience, excellent place guys ! No matter where you are in the country I'd strongly advise heading to them, especially if you have adjustable suspension parts. Their particular hunter system is brilliant, and of course it's only as good as the operator, in my case Joe was straight on it and Tony (bless him, he's not well at the moment) was overseeing and chatting to me about it all. The very first thing Joe did once the kit was on and it was in the air, was to rectify the issue I had about not being able to get the split pin through the bolt. This was before I even mentioned it, he realised there was a collar that I didn't require on my particular car and once it was off, he got the pins in place. Next up was just a query as to why I wanted -2 camber, and how having it set like that without being able to adjust the rears (standard OEM bits) enough would create some interesting turn-in oversteer..which I don't fancy cheers So they advised what they set, and I guess in the future if I want it more aggressive I'll need the rear adjustable camber arms as well. The car drives far better now, it's not pulling to the left, nor did I have that issue with the pins and needles - so I retract my earlier statement, it must have been due to the odd angles I initially had it It was more expensive than I realised it was going to be but I'm happy with the work done by Joe and WIM. Here is my print out, probably worth ignoring the before as that was me tarting around last weekend and giving up:
  18. Same happened with my one after putting on the new cobra y-pipe, just needed exhaust sealant despite being very tight.
  19. Actually the before is pretty nice, what did you clean it up with ? I've got some black wrinkle to go on my one but that champagne colour could look pretty nice - depending I guess on the whole bay
  20. It seems to be the highest rated one to go for but there are some others of course, I'll find out some details. Perhaps a few of us could do something, I'd be aiming for April/May. Colin over at CAT is highly regarded: http://www.catdrivertraining.co.uk/ Don Palmer: http://www.donpalmer.co.uk/car-control.html And I'm good friends with Mike Wilds, so I might be able to arrange something with him.
  21. http://www.carlimits...irfieldtraining I did it in high summer, it was 34 degrees or so and my tyres took a punishing! I've been meaning to do this for ages, shame nothing available until July
  22. Stick to buying from owner clubs, it's what I've always done. Their (dealers) warranties aren't worth crap IMHO - better off with warranty wise if it's THAT important.
  23. Well I'm off to Wheels In Motion tomorrow, Tony has been ever helpful and has informed (warned? haha) Joe about the arms. (edit - Tony is actually coming down tomorrow as well ) So all being well I can report back tomorrow on how it goes but my last experience with them was fantastic (fully adjustable coilovers and suspension parts on my old MR2)
  24. If you didn't use gasket sealant...drip drip
