  1. Yeah just some guff in the wind to be honest. I personally think someone has accidentally deleted the edits, so just buying time whilst off air
  2. http://www.carsceneuk.com/?p=11553 I personally don't really care about what happens, sure it's a fun entertaining show but the best car stuff is on youtube now. The only annoying thing if it's on Sky... adverts
  3. I've just seen a thread that made me twitch and feel all weird. I had to bump this up.
  4. So that you don't brake the cable on the actual headphones/earphones (better on planes) - just buy a small extension cable or two.

Tyres need to say MPSS though
  6. My very kind mother got me a Dodo Juice - Spin Doctor rotary one Christmas, I really like it !
  7. I remember this from a few years ago - I enjoy cleaning the car myself, wouldn't dream of using a car wash place, machine or underpaid chaps...
  8. I had the pleasure of driving a very, very nice NSX around my local roads yesterday and one of the many things which stood out to me was the beautifully short, precise gear shift. So yep, now I want a short shifter. I'm slightly unsure as to which one to go for, the Stillen one sounds like it's very well built and nearly 60% shorter throw ! Or, as a couple of you have had the B&M, this could be good but it's around 33% shorter (and I hear conflicting thoughts about how it rattles or generally a POS). However, I wonder if it was re-designed as a couple of you guys rated it ?
  9. That's cool - and the more I learn about working on cars the more logical most of it seems to be "just a bunch of bolts" but my understanding is mostly theoretical - I need to practice getting my hands dirty! Having the correct tools… that's the other area I'm lacking! Ho hum! Easter weekend coming up, so I shall certainly be back down, if you're free, we can meet up. I can show you the bits and pieces I've bought to work on the car but inevitably there are always things which are best left to the pro's
  10. Ahh I had assumed for some reason you had done tons of work on the car yourself, doh. No I've not done it before but it's just a bunch of bolts . I've got the tools to make it a cinch but if it's in the safe hands of Jez, I'd get him to do it as it would probably take us 5+ hours going slowly and carefully
  11. When are you planning to do your one ? (if you need any help let me know)
  12. Nostrils are about £25 on eBay (cf as well) iirc...
  13. Yeah just do that, doesn't sound right and double check you put them on the right way up. They don't jitter.
  14. Ah cheers for that mate, just done the front and having new rears popped on now... Already waaaay sharper steering! But actually what I meant was any suggestions on the camber/caster
  15. I'm popping the Eibach's on tomorrow, and will re-visit possibly next weekend if required. What would your thoughts be for road use (not DD in my case though) ?
  16. Great info and clarification sir I believe they dialled a bit of cross caster in as it's largely driven on the road, and to do with the 'crown' or 'cross slope' of the road and the drainage being on the left (? - something to do with that as Tony and I were talking about it ) And that it was better to have a little bit of disparity between them on the caster rather than the camber to achieve this. - don't quote me as that's my memory trying to work there.
  17. I saw these myself, the quality of them are fantastic, I really would if I could !!! 8 pot FTW
  18. £60 is a bargain for this but I'm after a mines lip or very similar myself.
  19. Yey, got my Eibach arbs and 380RS pedal this evening,as well as some help with the abs last week, many thanks again Adrian I saw some of the brake kits, superchargers and coilovers - lovely quality stuff indeed.
  20. Completely disagree, it's not about falling asleep it's about the quality and how you feel during the day afterwards. But what it's blatantly obvious, we're all different and there's no harm whatsoever in trying different ways out over several days/weeks to see how you feel (not just a one off).
  21. Find a different place for MOT and always use those guys
  22. Yeah best to have an orange light source (can use candles) when winding down for an hour or so, and for the room to be pitch black - so no LED's creating pockets of illumination, and lastly silicone ear plugs are pretty good too.
  23. I've got the standard bolts on the rear (I think that's what you're referring to right?), however I do have a pair of Eibach rear bolts but I've not used them yet as I didn't think it required it. So if I want a bit more neg camber up front for turn in, they should be able to push the rear a bit more even with the standard bits out in the rear then ? In regards to the caster and the SAI - what would you think is more ideal ? I can't judge the true feel of it just yet as I only came back on the m25 straight home, I need to nip out and have a play. But needless to say I was a bit nervous Typically I like having responsive turn in, I'm not sure how much of a difference the Eibach ARB's are going to be affecting that feeling after I get them on, as I'm sure they will affect it (well, for the balancing of weight).
  24. Yep, I agree at low speeds it can feel a little harder but otherwise these are a must (imho) if wanting standard ride heigh, slightly lower with Tein S or far lower with the B8's and matched springs. I'm very pleased, just the ARB's to fit now
