  1. It's a pity the stuff isn't shiny/reflective otherwise for me it would be perfect (and easy to do yourself). I get my plasti from http://matt-pack.co.uk/ - it's the proper US stuff (definitely better than EU) - just to note they also do spraying as well
  2. That guy is an utter tool. I have friends that have had to endure working along side him.
  3. And I just re-read said bed in procedure... I didn't do it twice
  4. BTW - it's because of the WF front components, so doesn't seem like he can mount the ABS sensors iirc. (not through choice basically)
  5. Collection more than welcome, either central London (Covent Garden), Limehouse, Croydon or Surrey (weekends) - take yer pick Or post is fine. Used: Super Pro SPF2849K - Caster adjustable compression arm bushings - £75 inc postage (£165/175 new!) Used: Prothane Front lower control arm inner (transverse link) bushing - £30 +postage (I recommend grinding off the notches on the frame, as unbeknown to myself they'll catch the bushing - they aren't torn btw)
  6. Sooo, I've not totally forgotten about this but other parts arrived and I've been doing those bits when I can. One thing I did do is a 3d scan much like Jamie did, this is just a normal quality one and I'll be setting off a high quality version tonight. I shall also probably re-do the photography stage of it and use a few more markers to help it out. Anyway, this is what it looks like at the moment. Once I get it into Maya I'll be able to mock something up, is it really necessary ? If you have to ask that, you get a punch to the BALLS I can see one issue immediately which are the hard brake lines, they are most likely in the way...
  7. For once I'm not Wanted to show him that way of searching if he hadn't spotted it.
  8. Try searching on the US one mate, example thread: http://my350z.com/forum/autocross-road/566460-abs-problem-on-track-video-how-to-abs-delete.html paste this into Google: site:my350z.com remove abs site:my350z.com delete abs etc etc
  9. I'll do them again but I pretty much did the 60-ish down to 10 x 8-10 times. I didn't bother with any copper grease or shims.
  10. I've not popped up a review yet of my RC5+ (will do at some point) - for the road they are VERY noisy but I couldn't give a toss Pedal feel and strength of braking is immense.
  11. I only take the car to a specialist when I can't do the job myself, although I'm pushing myself a wee bit more as time goes on as I enjoy it (and have access to a lift ). Also I like to think when I hand these jobs over to the guys, they always know it won't be a boring P1/2/3 or whatever. I'm thoughtful like that
  12. My ones were well and truly done by 80k. I think I remember reading around 60-70k is about all you're good for from oem.
  13. I ended up wiring my one the same as ZEUS, although I kind of think I should have done it with the running lights now, ho hum. It wasn't too bad aside from the top white clips that you have to rotate 90deg,and getting it back on required a helper. One light also had the wrong notch sticking out at the end so I had to dremel a bit away from the bumper housing so that it's slotted together. Spent far too long fannying around today, and don't really want to remove the bumper again!
  14. Should be a handy vid (as it's similar):
  15. I've posted this one (Z33 garage) before but the other one I just found, hopefully will help noobs and vets alike: https://www.youtube.com/user/emsotakon/videos https://www.youtube.com/user/AnthonyJ350/videos

    NSX GT3

Yep that looks ACE ! It should still have a V10 though. Speaking of NSX's - getting to drive the NA2 - Type R very, very soon :yahoo:
  17. I'm pretty sure Clark (new) and ZMANALEX (used?) both have these.

    Bonnet struts

Whilst we're on this topic, I do like my ones (good quality) BUT they don't lift the bonnet high enough (I bought them for practical reasons working on the car, not showing off). Are there any high lifting ones available ?
  19. I've been addicted to watching this guys channel for the last week, I'm pretty sure a bunch of you will dig it as well: https://www.youtube....Ixk8a_4xXzyqepw A mate told me about the MX5 LS3 build, so I thought, yep that sounds cool to watch and it was: It's fairly dry but the guy is likeable and the occasional humour chucked in is usually good. I say it's useful because the concepts of changing parts or working on the car is universal pretty much, so for those guys out there thinking these vids HAVE to be on the 350z, well you're missing out. I'm now on the 'Project Street Sleeper' vids
  20. Please search dude, it's asked all of the time
  21. I'd like to change the HU, without a doubt (there's a handy YT vid for it too), however I want it to match the fascia properly.
  22. Search and look for the 'how' to posts, see if you can do it. Just have the correct tools for the job ! (and maybe a spare bolt/nut or two - for just-in-case) That's really it. Bonus bits: Torque wrench (best to do this, or too loose or tight WILL cause problems at some point) Plus Gas (spray the bolts/nuts with this, leave for 10-15 mins) Grip sockets for any rounded bolts/nuts (like these http://www.ebay.co.u...DsAAOSwI-BWKoxY ) Decent 6 sided sockets
  23. No problem And oh, didn't realise you're Farnham-based. Hello! Not a midnight blue 350z by any chance? Just saw one at Sainsburys near Shepherd and Flock. I have a black car, and back in London late last night bud I bought some Granville Clear Silicone Sealant, it's exactly for this kind of thing too.
