  1. Crikey ! Yeah I'll have access to my tools next week, so I'll certainly try that first. I'll also see if I can replicate the error whilst driving too.
  2. Cheers, yep I had marked down the service manual suggestions. This hopefully shows the hiss sound: I've sprayed carb cleaner around the intake but no fluctuations in idle. The resistance of the coil packs was pretty much the same for all of them. I don't have all of my tools here today so what I can check is very limited.
  3. This is the car idling: When I rev the car it sounds like there is a slight vacuum leak as well, I'll upload another video for that a bit later.
  4. Technically I did (I guess). I did 2 laps, saw the error, cleared the code, went back out saw the error and checked it this time. I think I left a little bit more that I usually do in the oil bottle. (was just looking from what others have said)
  5. Bone dry, and around 6 deg. But one thing I'm just thinking here... The weekend before last, I changed gearbox\diff\engine oil. I'm just wondering if I needed to pop a bit more oil in the engine. As I mentioned, I wasn't going fast at all - honestly ! (my first time on track with the Z, and just getting used to it) I guess I'll know a bit more tomorrow, I've seen what the service manual describes as the potential issues. I just thought it was odd that it happened on track, the car felt and sounded normal to me.
  6. Bit of a weird one here. I was at Silverstone last weekend and had a P0300 code appear after a few (gentle) laps. Initially I thought it was the code from the exhaust due to no cats (I can't remember the 2 or 3 that pop up right now), as I get these sometimes from idling in the cold. I'm glad I came in and checked it out, I reset the error and left my car alone for the day. I haven't seen the error since last weekend, and have driven probably around 250 miles since. I know this tends to come up as a 'random misfire' but the car sounds normal to me. I'm just wondering what it could be, tomorrow I'll check the coilpacks with a multimeter. It shouldn't be the plugs as I did them back in March. I'll keep searching the forums for any potentials but any thoughts are much appreciated !
  7. Might as well bung it up here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SONAX-Xtreme-Brilliant-Shine-Detailer/dp/B007O9CXHI/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1467715456&sr=1-1&keywords=sonax+xtreme+brilliant+shine+detailer I use this every 3-5 weeks, it still beads after about 5 washes, and imho it's more like a quick sealant (as it's not as thick) than a QD.
  8. Yep, I was on the furthest left lane, the lights went green and just up ahead I see a 350z going pretty much sideways in front of us all. I didn't need to brake, I saw it and they looked fine, I just burst out laughing I couldn't tell if he jumped a red light trying to get into Frogmore road, or if in another lane and lost control.
  9. (Thur evening around 11pm) Still on Bridgestones are we ? (no it wasn't a controlled drift) Luckily you didn't plough into anyone, nor smash into the barrier\pavement. What the flying fook were you thinking ?
  10. Do you have a single frigging idea about who that monstrosity is ?
  11. No offense - this has been asked soooo many times, why cant ya search
  12. It's almost impossible to garner any 'facts' from this either way, no matter which way you swing. For example (note I do not want to talk about this) , if you look at migration stats, who has given them, how was it worked out and where are they from (as in what organisation gave these details) ? There is typically an agenda behind even the most simple sodding thing like the above (usually just simply follow the money) and hugely differing numbers etc. There is ALWAYS some form of bias selection when it comes to this stuff that we are all guilty of, simply as it strengthens our view, you can't change that.
  13. HUGE thanks for reminding me about this as well. How many did you buy ? (note, I'm miles away from the car, so can't check) I can see there is a need for 4 on the back part at that diameter. And maybe one larger one further down ?
  14. The funny thing I've noticed about this, bare in mind it's not happened before with elections, is that the more I see people on social media go on about 'in' - I've unfollowed/unfriended them. I can't remember doing things like this before, it's quite refreshing having a clean up.
  15. I've not driven the current gen, I love em though. I drove one in the same colour spec in the last gen, and it was soo much fun mate, I'd have one if I could.
  16. So you've tried speaking with both Cosworth and Kelford ?

    Shocks

I couldn't be arsed with coilovers so I went with Bilstein B6 - I paid £400 apx (can use OEM springs, or anything with a max drop of 30mm B8 for down to 50mm), I'm happy with them married up to Tein S springs. Just ensure stock no matter what you choose, or you could be waiting for ages.
  18. Spatt, get a litre of this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ATE-TYP200-Race-Quality-Brake-Fluid-Replaces-Super-Blue-Racing-DOT4-/201537586924?hash=item2eec9386ec:g:2BUAAOSwqu9VB3zg Use it for topping up (or fluid change) - although you shouldn't have to be topping it up frequently, so whilst you change the pads/discs, inspect your brake lines for leaks!
  19. Can you get a couple of photo's up - just to confirm it ?
  20. I remember that bloody advert, much mockery was made of it
  21. They have a good reputation, and with these cars I'd stick with specialists if you don't have the time/tools/space yourself. Are you supplying the bushings yourself ? If you are (cheeky plug ahoy), I have a couple for sale, an unused set and one that just came off of the car (pics coming) as I put monoball ones in: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/107093-brake-pads-poly-bushings-arms-etc-for-sale-new-used/
  22. Contact Japex, if you look they are one of the recommended garages here that aren't going to be far from you: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/110-japex/ http://www.japex.co.uk/contact-japex/ https://www.facebook.com/Japex-Automotive-76935616047/ It's a very simple job to do, you just need a press to get the old bushings out (or with a threaded rod and sockets). It really doesn't take long at all.
  23. Most likely the ball joint in the arm unfortunately. You can press out the poly bushings and reuse them on new arms though.
