  1. Voodo Vix, you can't just leave it at that I want to know exactly what you mean please
  2. Thanks everyone but this is an old post of mine that has been resurrected for some reason! I've got my tyres now but thanks for the recommendations anyway Greekman, my dentist is in Hull. I don't think it's you though. Look at my lovely shiny teeth
  3. Yikes SteveW That has to be the longest title ever, surely? It does sound impressive though Mr Biscuit, my husband isn't here until Wednesday so I will ask him for the specifics when I see him but I will PM you now with what details I can remember
  4. CrustyCrab, your job sounds Ha ha, DoogyRev, I think you would have to be in the UK and you are toddling off to foreign shores I believe
  5. Ooops! I seem to be repeating myself somewhat Recruiting is very hard It's my husband who needs to hire someone but I thought I'd try to help as he can't seem to find the right person and I have a vested interest in the company too! He's seeing two people later this week so one of them might fit the bill but if not ... I have found him potential candidates for previous posts but this one does need a pretty strong candidate with very specific skills.
  6. I'm not a he and I'm definitely not looking for someone to steal a car I can't say what I am looking for because I'm looking on behalf of someone else. I can say that the person that is needed would have to have particular IT skills and be interested in/already involved in the automotive industry in some capacity. Hope that narrows it down a tiny bit? Sorry for all the cloak and dagger stuff. I'm not trying to be deliberately annoying.
  7. Don't be so coy SteveW. I think we'd all like to hear about your official job title Personally, I am a company director with special responsibility for cleaning the lavatories and making tea, although not both at the same time Thanks Matt. I am looking for someone with a particular skill set but it isn't easy to find. Now I am the one being mysterious Come on then zebedee8, tell me more please
  8. Wasso, I feel as though I know you after that potted history of your life I think I will PM you actually as I have a question ... atkin666, yay, and I can tell at a glance what it is that you do, thanks to your signature MattH, that sounds intriguing, if somewhat mysterious. What type of people are you trying to recruit?
  9. DoogyRev, you could do both!! Zugara, can you say what area or is it top secret?
  10. I'm just being nosey really and wondering if anyone here works in the automotive industry and, if so, in what capacity?
  11. Oh no, another mod that I simply don't 'get' What's the point of that exactly and why did I click on the video clip - my husband's not even here and I get tortured by ACDC
  12. Aw, lovely pics. Can't go wrong with both horses and Zeds in the frame My friend once got stuck in roadworks with her horse and a bus pulled up alongside. The door was open and the driver leaned across to 'talk' to my friend's horse which promptly tried to get up the steps of the bus to see if the driver had any mints To make things worse, when it stepped backwards off the bus steps it demolished the temporary traffic lights with its backside. Ooops!
  13. I love a bit of future forecasting where car values are concerned
  14. Your wheels look nice Where did you get the badge? I like that too.
  15. Yay, more Skindred fans! Benji is great. If I win the lottery I am going to get him to come and play a gig in my garden. I'll invite you both Brummiestormer, my husband has to go to Germany next week and the airport nearest to where he wants to be is Ramstein (the air base from which Rammstein took their name). Unfortunately, since he's not in the military, he can't actually get a flight there and has to go via Amsterdam and Luxembourg I can imagine driving Mr Zedbelly to the delicate strains of "Feuer Frei" I have to confess
  16. "well stuff you then, there'll be no spooning tonight then it'll be like a ram raid, fast in and fast out and lots of carnage" rtbiscuit, methinks someone has forgotten to put his dose of bromide in his morning cuppa again
  17. Erm, thank you for your extremely kind offer but I think I'll stick to garment personalisation if it's all the same to you? I can write your name in rhinestones on the back of your lovely, long fur coat if you like?
  18. I think you are absolutely right because that's the advice I've been given by several other forum members. Dealer won't do anything to help though as they haven't witnessed the problem for themselves. I will get the work done by another garage at my own expense but I am a bit short of cash at the moment as I've just spent a large sum of money to get my business off the ground
  19. I'm not really a pootler and living in the middle of nowhere generally means that I can go at whatever speed suits me and the road conditions as there isn't much traffic on the local roads. I use 3rd or 4th for 30mph as a rule. In fact, I think that I only really use 4th when I am on a 30mph stretch of road, normally I change up from 3rd straight to 5th as 4th is a bit notchy on my gearbox. I am not mechanical in the least and wonder if this could be related to the other clutch issue that I have noticed i.e. clutch pedal staying depressed after lengthy drive? I initially thought that that problem occurred after I'd been driving in a lively manner but I have come to think that it is the length of time rather than how I am driving that affects the clutch.
  20. We have so many mad men (and possibly women?) on this forum it is untrue! You make me laugh out loud and I am supposed to be working so stop being so damned funny please
  21. Oh no, I think I'm being two-timed Is it my clown shoes that have finally put you off Builder49? I thought they looked really good teamed with my orange fright wig and white foundation. I know I overdid the lipstick a bit so I'm guessing you prefer Hannahbtw's more natural look. Right, I'll get me coat ... the orange one with purple checks and the lovely daisy buttonhole
  22. Hmm, no consensus of opinion on here then Husband is home from work now and I have decided to do the generous thing and let him drive to Wales in the Evoque. Sigh. It was a painful decision but he is making me dinner and mowing the lawns so I have to be nice to him sometimes ChrisS, your whereabouts will have to remain a mystery to me for the rest of time ...
