  1. I haven't exactly disappeared but I've been really busy getting my new business off the ground I haven't been out in Mr Z for ages either because of the weather and the five miles of potholed lanes that I have to negotiate to get onto a proper road. They are getting worse by the day
  2. I wish it was arty farty. I'd be slightly more at ease then! We have to attend a cocktail reception at an art gallery one evening so that may prove the high spot of the trip for me - lovely cocktails, a chance to wear a pair of killer heels and look at lots of lovely art!
  3. Sorry, Mrs Buster is right I can't believe anyone can actually remember me. I guess it is for all the wrong reasons but, hopefully, I don't have to get me coat just yet!
  4. ... bit of a long shot but I was just wondering if anyone had been to NADA? I have three trade fairs to attend next month and my husband has agreed to accompany me as long as I go to NADA. If anyone has been before could you please tell me if I will be a) slightly bored but will cope, after all it is a lot warmer in Florida than Yorkshire or extremely bored so should take a good book or c) terminally bored and will start thinking wistfully of the trip to Dignitas that I could have taken instead? I am guessing that there will be no responses at all because d) who the hell am I and what is NADA?
  5. Looks nicer than I thought it would from your description Lovely parking in the last pic
  6. Squee, you are funny The lane that I live on forms part of the Pennine Way and we get hundreds and hundreds of cyclists past over the summer months. I keep thinking of baking cakes and making tea to sell them on their way past. I've already got lots of garden chairs and tables. Hmm, I feel a business plan forming. On the "cycling eye candy front", I am usually disappointed because most of them turn out to be stringy old men with horrible skinny legs that should never, ever have been introduced to the dubious delights of lycra
  7. Ha ha, my first thought as the photo of all those trees was downloading was that it looked like a dogging site Lovely cars though and the hotel looks nice
  8. You're obviously a very determined woman Sarah! Glad you've finally got him home
  9. Wasn't around yesterday so Happy Belated Birthday Sarah Hope you had fun!!!!!
  10. Great thread guys! I've just had to explain why I was giggling and then I was instructed to read out loud and share the joke with the rest of the class I wish I could add something of my own to the list but, for once I agree that you've finally got the level of sexism just right so I'll keep my trap shut
  11. Aw, what's not to like? He's gorgeous
  12. Dave, has your mind really gone blank? That's got to be a first! When I read the thread title I thought I'd accidentally tuned into Radio 4 instead of the forum. Maybe it's time to retire to bed as I seem to be getting confused
  13. "Auto - for girls Manual - for REAL men" I don't think so!!!!! I've got biceps and I know how to use them! * *Disclaimer - as pointed out on a previous thread I don't have hairy legs to go with my overly large biceps
  14. Thanks Stew. It is a fabric product and I'll PM you with my USP CrustyCrab, I am guessing that you probably won't deal with soft, fabric products but I'll PM you too
  15. Thanks sunb12. I have Googled like a good 'un all day but I agree that there's plenty of scope to do more I've got a business advisor coming to see me later this week but I'm not convinced he'll have done anything other than Google it himself. We'll see
  16. This is a bit of a long shot but nothing ventured nothing gained and all that! Has anyone got any experience of designing and manufacturing a product? I am asking because, although I lack the talent to do either, I would like to hire someone to design and manufacture some baby toys for me. However, given the onerous burden of complying with the relevant safety regs. I am not sure how viable it is? I have still got the option to go ahead with Plan A, which is to get a third party to sort everything out for me but I would really like to do (or cause to have done) the work myself if it is at all possible because I want the flexibility to do short product runs without committing myself to thousands of pieces of product that might not sell. No idea how much sense the foregoing will make to anyone? I shall await the tumbleweed but, like I said, it's worth asking the question sometimes
  17. Lovely and shiny I think you need to get your weedkiller out though
  18. bronzee, no, car looks ok If anyone tells me that they saw 'me' driving yesterday though I will still be mad and will have to take his Evoque for a fun trip over the fields and goodness are there some muddy ruts to play in
  19. Ha,ha Stew, I did apologise for that misdemeanour.
  20. Hairy legs then? No, you must be confusing me with Mr Two Bears I am the one with smooth legs to the right of the photo
  21. Aw, you sound really excited and happy I still feel like that whenever I look at my Zed, sitting gleaming in his lovely 'shed'. Can't call it his Zed Shed as I believe that name is now copyrighted
  22. "...those pics, which I'm sure we are all wanting to see" Er, I can think of at least one of us who is happy not to see the pics

  24. Nope. But I'd been gone all day so plenty of time for it to have cooled down
