  1. Please give my love to Caroline x
  2. Err.. how big is your lawn? 5 acres?! Not quite. Do you want a photo? Happy to take one for you
  3. Wow, a really spectacular wedding I love the horse and yours and your wife's clothes. Congratulations to both of you
  4. Thats easy: Amazing work on the mole catching though, one day Im going to follow him and probably finish up watching him sleep all day. Been trying to convince him he can take down a deer, I love a bit of Venison me. Could have done with a hand from that cat when I found this slumbering on the landing a few weeks ago http:// Actually we put him outside and he flew off to catch some more insects for us
  5. That would make for an unusual 'To Do' list Go to Sainsburys Iron shirts Make packed lunches Wee on some moles
  6. My cat's never bought in anything larger than a mouse. In fact she normally limits herself to small shrews. No interest in moles at all. I'm still procrastinating. Got a number for a mole catcher (both sexes of moles catered for presumably Flex ) and tomorrow I'm going to the farm store where they sell traps of all kinds to get some rabbit-proof mesh to put on the one fence that doesn't have any on already but will I take any action? Dunno Maybe I should drop my iPad into the run and play Jasper Carrott clips to the moles on an eternal loop? Could work?
  7. Thanks everyone. All points of view noted I'm still only dreaming about owning another Zed at the moment because I'm elderly and my Fiesta is nice enough to drive, easy to park (I struggled a bit with my Roadster as I couldn't see out of the back window, although it was very easy with the roof down ) and the local garage gave me a great deal as I traded in my 20 month Fiesta for this one. I should be happy with what I've got but I still find myself looking at Zeds and feeling jealous because I have never loved a car so much
  8. And maybe a nice pair of trousers and a waistcoat with the leftovers
  9. Thanks very much for the link to that article. It was really informative and I can see why a mole is a formidable enemy now. I'll see if Mr Twobears will have a go at trapping them but I really can't bring myself to do it. Hypocritical I know but I just can't
  10. I guess you can't like all posters on here I'm amazed that anyone can remember me after all this time to be honest.
  11. I don't think I could kill them myself I will feel terrible asking someone else to do it but I can't have mole blood on my hands. I've seen one above ground. It had got into the duck enclosure for some reason and they were chasing it, presumably with a view to a lovely afternoon snack It was beautiful, so shiny and cute. I keep thinking they might give up and go somewhere else but I'm probably kidding myself.
  12. You're not that old! I'm older than you and I've retained most of my marbles!
  13. Ha ha, great minds think alike and so, obviously, do inferior ones Now where's my tin hat?
  14. I'm still waiting for the police to post my shotgun licence back (3 months and waiting) but I'll give it a try, ha ha
  15. I've got a huge problem with moles. They are completely ruining the lawn. There were over 100 molehills out there when I counted them yesterday. It's not just that they have made the back lawn look more like the Somme, it's also making it impossible to mow. I've got a Mountfield mower with a toothed belt and the moles are bringing flints and large stones to the surface which could easily cause the belt to break because it obviously doesn't slip if the blades catch on a stone. It is expensive to get it replaced if it does break but I chose this model because it's got really good grass collecting capability. So, does anyone know any way of getting rid of moles? I've resigned myself to the idea that I'll have to take the nuclear option, even though I hate the thought of it, because everyone I've spoken to says the electronic deterrents and other 'home remedies' don't work. I've no idea how many moles are out there but I'm guessing there are a lot and if I do get a mole catcher to deal with them will the moles just keep coming back? Well, different moles anyway? Do all the runs join up like a mole version of the M25? If anyone has experience in pest control I'd be very grateful for advice. Thanks
  16. Hi Graham, all good here thanks. Have moved again, to Lincs this time and am loving it but, like I said, I have Zed envy and am going to have to get another I think There's a second-hand 370 for sale locally and I keep looking ...
  17. Thanks both of you I was sitting at the petrol station behind a 350Z this evening and when he drove off I was consumed with envy I miss my Roadster so much but I had to sell it because I was living in a flat and the next door neighbour kept opening their door onto it. It was either sell up or commit murder I'm now on my second Fiesta ST3 and they are very practical cars but they aren't a patch on Mr Zedley
  18. Is the 370Z much different to drive than the 350Z or are they very similar? I keep buying sensible cars and then regretting it. I still long for a Zed and wonder if I should save up and get one. I'm not in a position to buy one at the moment though so only dreaming at this point
  19. Not the car for me coldel but it looks very shiny
  20. Thanks everyone Not a Vauxhall fan so definitely won't be getting one of those, red or otherwise GM, you are right that I love my cars and want the best for them but I am very lazy when it comes to cleaning them Luckily, MrTwoBears enjoys wielding the clay bar etc
  21. Thank you everyone I know from Googling that newer cars aren't meant to fade but I saw a 2004 plate in red today and it was definitely faded or at least its bonnet looked lighter than the rest of the bodywork. I suppose it could have had a different bonnet fitted or maybe it actually had faded? Couldn't really stop and ask the driver as we were going round a roundabout at the time. Still love Stanley and now that my daughter has left home and taken Fiona (her Fiesta) with her, Stanley has taken up residence under my version of the "Zed Shed". Can't bring myself to call it anything else as I still miss Mr Zedders. I only have him on a two year contract though - expires in September - and the car I have my eye on currently has a year's waiting time so I am trying to make a decision, hence the colour query as the potential new car does come in blue (my preferred colour for cars normally) but it's not a very exciting blue and the two reds on offer look quite appealing
  22. I am thinking of buying a red car, after mainly having blue ones, but am wondering if red paint still fades over time? I know it always used to but has it got any better nowadays?
  23. A Stannah car lift - love it Where's Dame Thora in my hour of need?
