The tech in these cars is incredible, it's just a shame that electric and ugly go hand in hand. They're not ugly because they're electric, designers just fail at just about every electric car they've ever drawn, maybe because they want them to stand out.

The 996 interior is horrid, but I could live with it in a Turbo don't forget the car came out around 98 so it was designed about the same time as the R34 Skyline, which is also shite inside.

You're talking 900+each for new ones from Nissan. There are Depo versions available on eBay from the states that look great, but possibly not quite as good in terms of lens quality and if I read correctly, you need to remove and refit all your OEM wiring etc to them.

Camber wears the inside of the tyres also. Do you have coilovers fitted or just lowering springs?

Airlines will look after their own emissions, they are major companies and therefore have green targets to hit, plus the better their emissions, the less fuel they use and therefore the more money they make. They didn't create the A380 for nothing, twice the passengers, without using twice the fuel.

You can run standard links, but they will wear out faster and need changed to adjustables, so some change them at the same time. You would adjust them to standard length, fit them and then adjust to suit.

Anyone got any data on how much fuel a typical 200 pax jet uses per mile? Does it work out more per person than a 2 seater Zed?

It appears I underestimated the cost of these. More like £3.5k to your door than the £1600 I guesstimated.

Is it tax free? Wasn't it fuel duty going up on aviation fuel that hindered the cheap flights and forced airlines to sneakily add taxes and charges at the checkout?

If you are willing, you can repair yours. I'm betting it's just worn bushes, so if you take it apart and clean the contact area, it'll likely be fine for another while.

The ones you want are the 06+ ones. Means you also need to buy a facelift bumper and possibly arch liners to fit them to. The bumper and therefore reflectors changed in mid 2006. Your current ones are standard, not tinted.

Sounds exciting, there is no more exciting feeling than waiting for new parts to arrive. Now - send them all back, cancel the garage, sell the car and buy mine, it'd be cheaper

Not worth the £1600+ unless you're professionally tracking it in my opinion.
