  1. Half way down my build thread page linked below is what I use. viewtopic.php?f=176&t=50472&start=60 Thanks, I'll give it a read
  2. Thank god it's been scraped, I though I was going to have to replace my stubby
  3. When they work..... True, but most are owned by young guys who just start them up, hop on and rag the ass off them, so no warming up. If treated correctly, there aren't that many issues.
  4. I say go for a Cagiva Mito 125 or Aprilia RS125. Yes, they are 2 stroke, so need to be warmed up correctly and you have to buy oil every now and again, but they are 12hp learner legal and when you pass your test you can get them de-restricted/buy a new exhaust and they'll be pretty much full power at 33hp. Boy oh boy do they shift. Acceleration faster than the Zed and a top speed of about 110mph, plus they look better than newer 125s with they're silly skinny tires.
  5. This made me think about getting something similar, but I'm on iPhone. I hear people a lot using an OBD reader and the Torque app for Android, but is there something as recommended for iPhones? Sorry to hijack the thread, just didn't see a point in making a new one for a similar question.
  6. I would think anyone with a UK car won't have the heated front screen. Surely they didn't fit all the other parts required for this to work and just left the button off so you can't have it...
  7. Yes it's safe, afterall, 99% of cars don't even have one fitted as standard. But, obviously if your hounding the ass off it, she might flex a bit more and therefore be less stable, but for normal driving, she'll be fine
  8. Thats the guy i emailed about using Paisley Freight, he's amended his auction to say he's now willing to ship them for anyone thats a bit far away to collect.
  9. It is coming to NI, though, so still a chance for you to hijack it from RM lol
  10. i agree, it's nice how the rust also sets off the tiny wheels.
  11. Those Rays look suspiciously like a centre cubby
  12. Isn't there something about it being illegal to have a satnav with a speed camera detector/locations in France?
  13. I think it would look awful, slightly better on a Gunmetal, but still awful. Might work on a Kuro Black if you colour changed the whole top half, added some graphics and had red calipers. Edit: Actually, that would look awful too.
  14. Keep the Zed, leave the woman at home
  15. Well, atleast it isn't modeled on a 406 lol
  16. Do this, I'm in Ireland, I can go see it
  17. Exhaust looks a Scorpion. It's a good budget box and I would personally keep it if I purchased the car with it, although, like you, i'd chop the tips off and get better looking ones welded on. Any decent exhaust place should be able to do that for you.
  18. Oh but they have irfan: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cmpixels/6 ... otostream/ Win Or purple Purple wheels on white car = win +1 on the purple, i'd be interested to see what it would look like with the polished lip
  19. so they don't warranty their own work?
  20. 6 year old thread, new record?

    De-smugged

I can only think of a couple in the whole country, but we'd have to stop in them if we want to hear the note for more than 2 seconds If you want someone to diff the life out of it (on privite property of course) give me a shout
  22. I take it you were talking about the Nismo Rays? Advertised on Driftworks too I believe, but like you, it really gets on my tits when you're bidding on something/watching waiting for closer to end date and it magically disappears. It's one thing when it's a private seller that has probably advertised elsewhere, but really annoying when it's a company that has numerous listings for the same item as buy it now and one for auction, they then remove the auction one a couple of days before end date. I'm sure there are rules against this kind of thing. It'd obviously due to the item not having big bids on it yet.
  23. I suspect it to be a replica too, but i'd rather call it a "rip off" due to the effort of adding the Nismo sticker to make it seem genuine. Aren't the inside of the Nismo kits a creamy white fiber glass rather than this blue colour? It looks pretty well made, but I guess we won't know until someone buys it.
  24. Unfortunately those are your only 2 options, either buy new lights or shove them in the oven at a medium to low heat for 20 minutes or so to weaken the seal and take them apart and clean. It's a shed load of hassle if you don't know what youre doing, like me and run the risk of not getting a perfect seal and it all being for nothing. I think early model lights go for pretty cheap on eBay, though.
